I had been using a north face backpack for the past decade, but I wanted to upgrade my look to match my more professional office environment. Since switching to the Tuck Laptop Backpack, I've found that I don't pack a ton of useless items that I *think* I'll use and only bring my essentials (two notebooks, laptop, water bottle, utensils, menstrual products, and keys). And there's still room for another two books! There's something about the backpack that makes it super lightweight. The material is sturdy, so I don't worry about it accidentally ripping under the weight. Solid backpack.

This is my everyday product. I use it to carry everything from my camera to bike lock.

Been using this as a traveling and secondary backpack. I go straight from school to meeting with people, then will often hang out at coffee shops and potentially go do hiking or running. It was getting very annoying only having one backpack and taking everything out, replacing it with the stuff I needed for 2 hours, switching it out again, and constantly rotating the contents of my bag. I saw TimBuk2 awhile ago through Yes Theory, and after missing their branded bag, I came here. This bag has tons of space, is very comfortable, and extremely sturdy. There is a small amount of organization (meaning there's some small pockets for pens/pencils and some other the front and back additional pockets), but its pretty easy to get your belongings in there and sort them out on the go, which makes it more of a minor detail.

I plan on using the pack for class, I skate, I wanted something that wrapped around both arms rather than the crossbody. I wore the pack once on a skate, it was almost as if the pack was there even with a laptop and a tablet. It was so comfortable, it didn't feel stiff. I love the pack, I recommend this bad boy

I use this backpack daily, sometimes with very heavy load. Carries alot without stress to seams or shape. For the more than 2 years I've owned this, only one problemplastic closure snapped (and fixed immediately). The bag still looks great, get lots of compliments.

I honestly never write reviews, but wanted to for this bag! I bought it before moving to the UK, knowing I would have to be cycling to work and school often in the rain. I have also used it for travelling- including a week of backpaking in Scotland. I took the bare minimum and used this bag! It fits perfectly under the seat in buget airline and can really fit a lot. I have had it for a year and still love it. I appreciate the minimal and cool design.
My only complaint would be that I have never seen a water bottle that would be able to fit in the side pockets as they are so small.

This bag is neat and futuristic in its design. It is very useful and looks great if you're into this type of style. Only drawback is it is quite long. I am a tall dude so it's perfect for me, but if you have a small torso it can be a slight problem.

When they delivered the bag, the tracking info said that they put it in the mailbox, making me worried about the size (though I already tried to visualize it using a tape measure before buying it). But my worries melted away when I held it in my hands, it was just really easy to fold up (making it easy to store) and it was the perfect size. It's rugged, strong, and holds everything I need from school books to road trip/vacation essentials. It's also really nice to look at and very pretty. I will definitely be using and talking about this bag for a long time.

I want to preface this by saying, I literally never write reviews. Ever. That should tell you right off the bat how much I love this pack.
I've been obsessed with Timbuk2 packs since I was introduced to them by my good friend who's used and loved his pack for many years... and it's in still in great condition!
I just got a new job and really wanted a new backpack that looked appropriate for a corporate setting, but was also visually interesting, highly durable and functional for daily use. I did a lot of research and considered several other Timbuk2 packs, but ultimately decided to go with this classic Tuck Pack in black.
I adore the clean, minimal look of this pack. The interior is so spacious, but magically it doesn't ever look too big... even when it's filled to the brim on your back. I believe one commenter referred to this phenomenon as the "Mary Poppins effect." I usually only have a laptop, notebook and a few miscellaneous items in my pack, but I love knowing that this pack has the capability of holding my lunch, gym clothes, jacket, etc. if need be! I was a bit worried that the straps on the Tuck Pack didn't seem as padded as others in the lineup, but I can honestly say I haven't noticed any discomfort at all!
pack! Yes, it would be nice to have a few more compartments or pockets on the interior of the pack, but I feel like most people can more than manage with what's offered in the Tuck Pack.
If you've always wanted a Timbuk2 bag, but you've been wondering which one to start out with... I can't recommend the Tuck Pack enough! I love mine so much and feel great taking it with me everywhere I go!

really in love with this backpack! It has a more mature/professional look than many backpacks, while still maintaining high durability and plenty of space with functional pockets. Something I've been seeking for a long while, and so glad to have found here!! I think it's particularly great for bike commuters for several reasons. 1. it holds the weight close to your body, so I feel less tipsy than with some other backpacks. 2. pockets are easy to access by slinging the bag over one shoulder 3. pretty water resistant! haven't tested it yet, but I feel way more comfortable riding with this in the rain compared to previous packs. My standard sized u-lock unfortunately does not fit into the side pocket, but nearly does. I think one that didn't have a rubberized coating would. Also, my laptop is enormous (17in). So I was worried about it fitting into the laptop sleeve, but it does! Just not through the secret side pocket, which I'm fine with. Overall so very pleased with this backpack! Also, wow the colors are on point!!!

I use my bag daily. Love the way it fits everything without bulging. The shoulder straps are very very comfortable. My two scents are that the color is more green than teal (picture looks more teal) and strongly y suggesti to put some padding on the back. One to protect the laptop and two to protect your back from sharp edges of things you carry (eg. the laptop of notebook edges). BTW. My son also has the exact same backpack in the olive green.
Oh yes, I really wanted to get a customized replica of this bag however the customized version does not come with the outside zipper or the side zipper.
Can you PLEASE make the exact same bag but in yellow with black and with the interior yellow. Just a suggestion.
Thank you for these great bags.

It is hard to find something wrong with any timbuk2 product.
My only complaint is there is no key hanger.

I bought the pack with intentions of using it for random outings like short hikes, going to outdoor events, small festivals where packs this size are allowed. I got the custom option and the colors are very true to what is shown on the customizing tool. The pack's capacity is perfect for a light jacket, small blanket, keys, phone, snacks, and a notebook with enough room to spare for small things to be picked up along the way. The strap organizers on each shoulder strap are a really thoughtful touch and really cleans up the look while keeping them from flapping around in the wind.
I have very minor gripes with the bag: 1) I wish the roll top were magnetized like on the non-customizable versions, and 2) I wish the small pocket on the internal organizer were zipped enclosures because if you lay the bag down everything spills out inside the bag. I plan to take this to a shop and have some nice zippers integrated soon. Lastly, 3) The material interfacing with my back does not breathe very well and while I read this in one review of the pack, I didn't think it would make a difference...I was both wrong and also moderately sweaty after a casual day of use.
Overall the pack is excellent but not perfect. The materials, stitching, and colors are all above par and beautiful in person. I have received a few compliments of it within hours of leaving the house with it on. The bag is bag is extremely high quality and great value for the price. I cant wait to sew on a few unique patches on the back panel and really make it mine.

Alright my dudes, I really love this backpack. I can keep my gym clothes in the bottom, store my bike lock and still have room for groceries on top!!! The straps are adjustable and the pockets are convenient! I actually USE the POCKETS! Which is wild for me. My only critique is that I wish the back of the backpack as in the part that touches my back (are you still with me?) was padded. Because sharp edges or lumpy items can be uncomfortable while biking and cause back pain. Staying more organized has helped with this. 10/10 would recommend.

This pack seems to hold infinite stuff, without ever getting bulky. It's so lightweight, and my favorite part is that it sits very flat against my back even when full (great for use on public transportation). Love all the pockets, zippers seem sturdy, all around 10/10.

It's clich to say you don't write reviews whilst writing a review, right? Anyway - this backpack has been a revelation for me. Perfectly fits everything (laptop, waterbottles, cords, books) and doesn't feel like a brick on my back thanks to the comfy straps. Roll top is actually functional and not just cool-looking.
I love love love this backpack.

Good size, the one in black looks sleek and can use in multiple settings, the pockets are all nice sizes and the material is sturdy, plus lifetime warranty. I really like this bag! My only criticism is that there isn't any padding on the laptop compartment.

I've only had the backpack for a couple weeks, but so far, I LOVE it. You can put a lot of stuff in it without it ever looking bulky, it's well made, so sleek. I wouldn't recommend this for every day use, but I had to travel for work and specifically used it to carry on an airplane a 15.2 Apple laptop & travel cords, two external hard drives and corresponding cords, a Canon 7D camera body, a 70-200m lens, a GoPro camera, a foldable pair of studio headphones, plus an inflatable travel pillow and a book and everything fit in there just golden. I would recommend using an additional "tech" bag for anything you don't want loose, since it only has the one outer zippered pocket (for keys, wallet and cellphone) and small pockets inside (which I use for headphones/cords, pens, and camera batteries).
Can't recommend this bag enough.Only complaints are I wish it had one more decently size zippered pocket on the inside and that the two exterior side pockets for water bottle were a little deeper.

This backpack is so comfortable and fits my needs perfectly. I can easily get my wallet out without taking the bag all the way off if I'm hopping on a bus or shopping. It's very spacious without looking too huge, and it's easy to get to all my stuff with the single clip holding it closed.

I ordered this backpack with custom colors so the delivery took longer than I like to wait for my exciting online purchases, but the wait was worth it. This is a quality made backpack, sturdy yet lightweight. It's perfect for both carrying my paperwork to the office and travelling for the weekend. There are pockets and a laptop sleeve within the main compartment, but there is just one compartment.
