As a graduate school student, I've found that this backpack easily suits all of my needs (while also remaining stylish). The pros of the backpack include the sheer size of the back pocket (I'll been able to fit several textbooks, my laptop, and a large water-bottle with ease) and the accessibility of the different pockets (in particularly the laptop pouch). The design is also a plus - I've received several compliments in the month that I've had it. In terms of downsides, the one thing that comes to mind is the size of the front pocket. While accessible, it is slightly smaller than other similar backpacks, which is something to keep in mind for people used to grabbing things from the front. Overall though, couldn't be happier!

The laptop compartment is separate from the main compartment and provides more than enough protection
Material and buckles look premium and feel great in the hand!
Additionally, there are lots of organizational features and looking good for everyday use!

I love my custom backpack - perfect size for to/from work, even a 1-2 night stay somewhere. I've had previous bags from Timbuk2 and this time, I was looking for a lightweight backpack. This backpack is very light weight and still very comfortable w/ padding! FYI - no pockets except a laptop sleeve and 2 outside pockets so I use a little bag to keep small things safe (headphones, pen), but this works very well for me and cuts down on the base weight of the bag. I highly recommend and love picking out my own colors for each panel.

So perfect as a carry on, bike commuting, and going to the gym. It's a great size and can fit a 12 pack if needed. Easy access to my laptop when flying. Weather proof enough for my needs and super simple. I really like the quick roll system.

I originally bought this backpack as my work/climbing bag and it accidentally became my everywhere bag now!
On a recent trip I was able to pack two laptops (maybe not the best idea) both chargers, portable charger, charging cables, notepad, book, hoodie and a thick puffer jacket all inside the bag and still had pockets on the outside to fill. The side zipper to access the main compartment works really well. My one complaint would to have the mouth of the backpack be more tighter when closing. Unless your bag is filled then rolling and locking will be slightly loose.

It's our first time to Greece. My wife ordered one of these bags and I say. You better get me one. Haha. These bags were so easy to pack, get things out of it also very easy. Then you just roll the bag down and snap. Your done. Also it's very comfortable to have on. The straps are easy to adjust. I use this bag anytime I go on a trip. Thank you. They are awesome. John.

This is such a good backpack. Been carrying a heavy bag and wanted to switch to a lighter bag. Weighing about 1 lbs, this bag sits ghostly on my back as I sometimes have to feel behind me to know for sure if its there.

I've been eyeing this bag for a long time but could never find a color I liked. I kept looking elsewhere until I saw a friend with the rebel colorway. It was no longer available on this site but I tracked one down and cam honestly say its the best bag ever. Minimalistic but stylish, slim enough to not be annoying on the trains in NYC. Please add other colors! I'd love to buy one for travel and keep my current one for commuting to work on the subway.

This backpack is great! Super comfortable for a bike commute. Lightweight material. Large interior that is expandable to stuff a jacket and workout gear. Quick access laptop pocket is very convenient but a bit flimsy. Front 2 pockets are perfect size and easy to access with backpack on one shoulder. One of my favorite timbuk purchases so far.

Love my backpack, I use it daily, as well as, for travel. Excellent quality. Does not have a lot of compartments if that's important to you.

Purchased this for my wife, large enough to fit lunch a laptop and her daily items in. Makes a daily commute in hot and cold days, and I know her items will be safe.

I use my Timbuk 2 for travel. It's big enough to put by pocketbook inside and small enough to fit under the seat on a plane.

I didn't realize how roomy is bag is and how much stuff actually fits in it. Thai bag is good for so many reasons and one is that Timbuk2 has the best products l!!

I'm an educator & needed a new backpack this year. This one is sturdy, holds everything I take (laptop, papers, jacket). I like the smaller and larger pockets in the front as they are easily accessible. I hope it lasts a long time!

I ride my bike to/from work (about 15-20 minutes each way) and I wanted a backpack that was a bit more sturdy and water resistant. This backpack has been great! Some things I like - the roll up top, the little front pockets, the laptop pocket, and the bright yellow interior. It also fits a lot without being too unwieldy. I'd definitely recommend it!

Bought this to wear while I'm on my bike and it became my everyday backpack. The roll too allows you to stuff your helmet inside and the side zipper access means you can access inside while on your bike. There are two front pockets, the smaller of two is discrete. The laptop sleeve easily fits both a 13 in laptop and a 12 in tablet. The water bottle pockets easily hold a standard water bottle but I have jammed my 30oz yeti rambler successfully before.

This is my carry on "personal item" for a week long trip, and my only luggage for a weekend getaway. It is roomy without being bulky or . It compresses easily. Protects my laptop in the built in sleeve. Straps are comfortable.
