These boots are awesome! The leather is waterproof but soft and smooth. The boots were comfortable the first time I wore them. I live in Colorado and these boots are so throw back Colorado hiking boots...reminds me of the 70s here. Love the leather, color, fit, style and comfort. And the red laces...the boots come with an extra pair of tan laces.

The Sugarbush boots fit great right out of the box with regular socks, and were so comfortable and cute that I wore them all day. The leather is a little stiff but does have some give, so they will be better after some breaking in. The insole is gently padded, but not marshmallowy like my old beloved Jungle Mocs. Overall, these boots are well made and the old-school style is on point. Mine are black with blue laces, which is really sharp, but they also come with gray laces in case you're feeling subtle. I haven't tested the waterproof-ness yet, but look forward to wet weather when I can go stomp in some puddles. I got these to replace some 6-yr-old Merrell boots that never quite fit me right, and I'm very pleased so far.

Purchased these for an upcoming hiking trip in cold, wet weather. I am a regular size 10, and ordered both 10 and 10.5 to compare, based on other reviews. I ended up keeping the 10.5 for extra sock room. Very comfortable out of the box! I love the look of these boots, they'll go great with leggings on non-hiking excursions around town, and the traction is better than I expected.

These fit great. The width is perfect. I have a narrow foot, and these boots are really comfortable.

Good room in toe box but somewhat sleek looking for a hiking boot. Very nice looking and comfortable. Have not worn yet so cannot comment on full comfort with hiking. But stylish enough I plan to spray them and oil them and hope they do not get too scratched.

I bought three pairs of shoes at one time and by far these shoes are AMAZING! They are very light weight, not too bulky,and pretty comfortable. They haven't been rubbing me raw anywhere. I have worn them in the rain and they kept my feet dry all day. THE MOST AMAZING PART about this shoe is the TRACTION..it has an amazing grip on any wet surface, I feel like spider man. Expensive, But Im very pleased with this shoe.

I really wanted these to fit. They are super cute. I wear an 11. I ordered and got them here in just one day. The website and shipping are very efficient. But the boots themselves just were too tight. I would def order one up if there was anything larger than an 11.

I usually run an 8.5/9 in Merrell's, and went with a 9 in these boots. I live in Alaska, and decided to wear them out to a remote cabin. It was about 30 degrees out, snow was about 18" deep, and I had one pair of wool socks on. My feet are ALWAYS cold, and I worried that I had made a big mistake when we landed, but these boots did great! My feet did get cold after about an hour, but they surpassed my expectations. Big enough that I could have added another pair of socks too. I'm excited to use them for spring, summer, and fall!

I am so happy I bought these boots! I purchased them for an upcoming hiking trip in Poland in May. I have been wearing these boots a lot to break them in. When I first recevied them, I thought they were too tight (I bought my normal size, an 8). After wearing them around the house a bit I decided to keep them and I'm so happy I did. They're not supposed to fit like running shoes and I was scared to keep something that might not fit. I've gone on several 4-6 mile hikes already and they're great. I also checked the waterproofness of them (see photos) and they were not wet inside even after standing in ankle deep water for 10 minutes. Definitely recommend this shoe!

I’ve had these boots for over a year and they are still my favorite, go-to shoe. I primarily wear them for general use (not hiking per se since I wear light trail hiking shoes for long hikes and backpacks), but when my general day ends up in mud, on trails, in snow, ice, etc they are extra handy. I have both the beeswax and the black and will say that I wear the beeswax much, much more frequently. I like the colors better and the fit was better (no breaking in time, tad roomier). The black version feels a bit stiffer and a touch more narrow. (For the record, I have wide feet and don’t like tight fitting footwear). That all said, I’m glad I have both. I like that they aren’t too tall and not too short, good mid-height. The grip on the sole is also great for a range of conditions. They also keep my feet warm in colder weather, but my feet don’t get hot when inside (a problem I have with other winter type shoes (and my feet tend to be cold). If Merrell is reading this, keep up the great work and keep making this boot (I’m going to need future pairs). My only constructive criticism would be to treat the leather with something a little stronger to prevent lines and discoloration from snow/salt exposure. I haven’t tried any leather conditioner yet to see if that helps, but that would be one area that could be improved. That said, it doesn’t bother me too much and it has become a little less noticeable over time (on the beeswax version at least).

I have narrow feet but Merrell Moab's have fit me well in the past so I was hoping these would fit, also. Unfortunately my heel slipped in these. Otherwise, I liked them a lot. Very stylish.

I loved this pair of boots, however the 6.5 was too tight, especially in the toe box. The 7 fit well and I will keep those. I should note that my actual foot size is 5.5 US, but I usually need a 6 or 6.5 due to the width of my feet. For this style of Merrell’s I actually had to go up to a 7.

I love these boots. They were comfortable right out of the box. I had not yet broken them before I went on a 7-mile hike in the mountains. No blisters, no rubbing. Perfect!

Love, Love, Love these boots! I looked at them for 2 months before purchasing due to the price. I received several compliments when I wore them for the first time. And the reviews are right, very comfortable right out of the box. The only thing negative I can say is they do run a bit narrow. Was not a problem for me. Noticed it when I first put them on but after walking I no longer felt the narrowness. The leather is beautiful and the style is on point!!!

I loved these but they are a bit stiff/heavy. I would say if you need a true hiker then "yes" but for a casual stylish boot maybe not. I settled on a different style of Merrell but these were a close second for sure. They are true to size in my opinion.

Great stylish hiking boot! I spend a while looking for a hiking boot that had support, was waterproof, and still looked like it could be worn with jeans and a tee for a casual day trip. These were just the thing. They fit me really well, are very comfortable, and I love that they come with gray laces in addition to the blue!

I have been watching these boots for months & finally decided to go for it despite the cost. I am SO happy I bought these before they sold out! They are really comfortable and I love the retro look. I love Merrell shoes and these are no exception. I wear a size 8 & the size 8 fits true to size. Very comfortable! If you're able to get these - get them before they're gone. You won't regret it.

Love this boot. The colors are great and I'm able to wear it more than I thought I would. Very comfortable. Took a little time to break in around the ankles but I'm glad I waited it out. If you are even considering purchasing this boot- do it! I get a lot of compliments. I wear a size 10 and it still looks great with my large foot.

These hiking boots are the bomb! No, I have not been hiking in them yet, but they are as comfortable as my UGG slippers, with better support! I would recommend these to anyone looking for an extra stylish hiking boot....down side, they may be too pretty to get dirty! I usually wear between a 8.5 and a 9. I bought these in 8.5 and they were perfect! And the leather is very high quality......buying them on sale, a bonus! Get these boots!

Very excited about these boots. I have to be careful about the shoes I wear and I was able to take these out of the box and wear them all day. Highly recommended!

Awesome boots! True to size and stylish. I NEVER have appropriate shoes for the occasional light hike and when I saw these I thought they would be the perfect solution. They are functional, waterproof AND cute. Something I assume I will have for many years. Quality is great.

These are awesome looking hiking boots. I really like the style, but decided to send them back. I do a lot of all day hikes and I feel like the foot support and comfort of these would wear off after a few hours of hiking. If they were less expensive, I would keep them for less demanding hikes and just kicking around. But with a $200+ price point, I think I'm better off investing in a pair of Soloman's.

So glad I finally purchased, after much debate due to price...worth every penny!! Stylish, lightweight and comfortable. Ended up wearing for 12 straight hours the first day and had no issues. Goes well with skinny/boyfriend jeans and leggings. I ordered the Beeswax and love the color. The red laces give that extra pop of cuteness! I normally wear 6.5 in most shoes or boots and went with that size in these as well. Overall...love!!

I can't wait to wear these. Bought them for the upcoming winter season and I think they'll be durable for any bad weather. I have other big utility type boots and they are much, much heavier than these Merrell's, so that's why I'm particularly excited to wear them. These feel light and flexible on my foot, and super comfy. I would say they're a touch big (I'm a size 10, and these felt about a half size too big), but once I wear big boot socks, I'm sure I won't notice.
