Great Looking boot. Very comfortable but I think that they do run a bit small. I am usually a 9 but with these I am a 9.5. They have a great wide calf too!

Maybe I just need to come to accept that my calves are no longer that of a 20-something...but I can barely wear these. I also order the Conquest Carly II which supposedly had 15" diameter and these are 14.5". I'm keeping these as the Carly's are actually slimmer. I like the boot overall and the look (when with the all black) isn't quite as Hunter-esque (that's a good thing). And I felt the price increase for the insulation is a step up from the Hunters which aren't much less.
I just wish the shafts were a tad wider, or that at least the calf straps could be let completely out (they are about 1.5" inches too short to allow that). An oversight on the design there...there is still gusset available to be let out more, but the short straps prevent it.

I measured my foot with the guidelines that SOREL has on its website, and then I ordered the boots a half size bigger just to be safe (I measured at an 8 and ordered an 8.5). When I got the boots, they were too small. I spent over $20 in shipping to return them and contacted SOREL's customer service but they wouldn't refund the shipping (even though their measurements were wrong). I ended up re-ordering them in a size 9 and they fit.

So I've had these for about a week and I keep taking them out of the box, putting them on, and boxing them back up. They're beauties, no doubt. I read all of the reviews and ordered my usual size 7, as well as an 8 to see which one actually fit. I don't know if some of the reviewers were vague about which section of the boots run small, but the 7s fit my feet just fine; like I'd expect any 7 to fit. The calf part is another story. I can't decide whether I'm going to keep them or not, but if I do I'm gonna keep the 8s for sure just for the smidge bit of extra room in the calf. Now, I just had a baby so I'm fatter than I would normally be which is the only reason I'm even considering keeping them. The strange part is that there is a bit more material under the straps which could be let out, but the straps are at their limit which makes no sense at all. And since they are so tight at the top the material can't free up properly so it's bunching at the ankle a bit which I'm hoping won't create creases. The more I type it his the less fond I'm becoming of them. I wish I'd gone with the Joan of arctics again. Alas, we just had 18" of snow dumped on us with more on the way in 2 days so I might just keep the bigger size in the hopes that they'll fit better once this baby weight is gone. I'm still going to get the Joan of arctics for my go-to winter boot. If your legs aren't fat at all these will probably fit nicely. If you're chubby, get a lace-up model.

Even with the adjustable calf, it was too narrow for me to get into. I wish Sorel would offer wide calf boots. I love their products.

Cute and comfortable but not made for small calves. Overall I didn’t feel like they were worth the price.

The waterproof leather is gorgeous and the style is really flattering to my feet and legs. Once I finally pulled them on with no zipper to help me, the 9 1/2 size (I normally wear a 9) was a good fit for my foot. They were just such a struggle to get on and off. I am really sad that I have to return them.

The fit was good. For some reason the design of the upper light gray didn't suit me...it emphasized how straight and ankle-less the shaft of the boot was. It hit me right at the knee and made me look stumpy. From the side they looked great but from the front I looked stubby and almost slightly pigeon-toed.

I own several pairs of Sorels from the past 5 years.. I have the shale and tobacco riding boot I, so I thought that this riding boot II would be the same, just with a slightly different look.. but I don't think the II boot is made as nice, the foot rubber is much thinner and the leather leg part does not seem as high of quality leather as the I boot.. They are still a nice looking boots, but does not compare quality wise to the I one, which is disappointing when you buy a "Sorel" boot you should have no doubt it will be a high quality boot, but seems even Sorel is starting to cut corners in quality :( like so many other retailers are doing.

if you have wide calves, do not bother with these! I have another pair of sorel boots and these did not seem to be as good of quality either.

These look very cute, but super difficult to put on. I couldn't get my left foot in the boot because I have arthritis in my big toe. They also seem to run a bit small. There is no insulation, just rubber so your sock or foot sticks to the boot when trying to slide it in.

I wanted these to work SO BADLY. They are beautiful in the Redwood color, and I thought quite cute for a muck boot. They also accommodate my Quell device on my calf. But despite trying two sizes, three different footbeds both with and without the original, and a bunch of different socks, I couldn't get them to work. I'm a 9 (5'4", skinny calf), occasional 9.5. In these, the fit felt sloppy and my toes, which touched the end of the 9.5 just barely, quickly slid forward and put uncomfortable pressure on my toes when I walked. In the 10's, they just felt too sloppy overall. I'm lanky with big feet for my body, so I had no problems getting these on whatsoever, but the calf felt awfully baggy until I cinched it all the way down. I think I'd prefer a version of these with no heel, so my foot wouldn't slide. I don't think these are issues which will "break in". I will add that I have flat feet that roll in, zero ability to walk in heels, and am super picky about footwear—I imagine these will work for most.

These boots looks great, but fit oddly for Sorel. I tried sizing up but they still didn't fit right. They do not seem to be consistent sizing with my other Sorel boots. I think they're great otherwise, just can't find the right fit.

Wanted to love this boot because it managed to work with my narrow foot and wide calf. Alas, it was quite bulky around my ankle, with no way to adjust for that. Runs at least 1/2 size small.

Sorel boots run on the narrow side, which is great for my less than medium width foot. However, these boots run a full size smaller than normal. I ordered the Umber color, and while the leather upper is beautiful, it is not complimented by the rubber lower. I'm going to keep looking for a warm insulated boot...

I have several pair of Sorel boots, including the old style slimpack riding boot. I love them all! Sadly, this newer version is not quite the as good as the older version.
It lacks the pull loops, the lining is thin nylon (instead of warm and wonderful, lightly fuzzy fleece)and the right boot has about an extra inch of this thinner lining that bunches up, making it hard to get your foot in and then rubs because it's all lumpy. I ordered 3 different pair, same issue in all 3.
Sadly, I had to return all 3 with disappointment in newer Sorel boots.

Two weeks ago I threw away my second pair of these boots. After less than two years of wear, the rubber cracked and split at the back just below where the rubber meets the leather. When I bought these boots in May of 2017, they were the replacement for a pair of the original model that also experienced a crack in the rubber. The first pair lasted 4 winters, these didn't even make it to their second one. These boots are just too expensive to fail so quickly.

So have had shoes for almost month. Heels already coming off and the wood look is peeling off. For money it was waste since falling apart. Would like replacement and send these back.

Runs small. I'm a 7.5 and ordered that size and my toe is smashed. Rubber doesn't stretch like leather so I would need to size up except that I don't like them. It's has no real insulation. It's just a rain boot. Not really a winter boot.

I wanted to love these boots. They are a really cute riding boot style, but are they practical as snow boots? Not really. The boots are really more like rain boots and I found them to run very small - I usually wear a 9 and I needed the 10.5. With sizing up, my toe still felt like it was touching the end of the shoe when I walked, but it was too large in my heel. Overall, just not a great fit for me, so they will be getting returned.

Although a beautiful boot, these are NOT waterproof! I used to wear them without socks and I ended up with cold, wet feet!
Additionally, they are slippery when wet so I have to walk slowly and very carefully not to fall. I did slip and fall with them once.
