This coat was bought for my eight year old son. The fit was perfect and he loved the color. Now he wants the matching snow pants!

Purchased this coat for my son. He doesn't care for big bulky coats but needed something warm. This was it!! Warm and have a sweater made inside so once the weather breaks I won't have to purchase a jacket!!

This jacket is very worm it keeps my son worm in 20 degree weather and if yo live in Chicago that means something

My son HATES wearing coats because they can be so bulky but I just can't let him out in the cold Michigan winters with a hoodie. This is the perfect compromise. On cold days he wears it with the fleece liner, but he loves the option of being able to remove it when temperatures aren't so frigid. It's very well made and stylish.

this coat is the warmest, sleekest coat I have ever owned, and I will be buying more products like it in the future.

I got this jacket for my 6 year old son bc everyone in our family wears north face so he had to have one too. It's warm I love that it has 2 jackets in one. And I love the colors. Thank you north face.

I purchased this jacket for my 8 yr old son. It arrived in a timely manner and to my surprise it had a great fit to it. I bought it for him to use as a winter jacket, but since its fall he's been able to wear just the fleece part of the jacket. He loves the cloer and the fact he can separate them at anytime. We ordered a medium. Best online clothing purchase ever!!

Warm comfortable and fits good

It is described as tri-climate but it isn't a super thick coat, even with both layers. I live in Northern Illinois so I am hoping it will work for my son for the wintertime. Haven't been able to try it out in the old weather yet since we just bought it this month (June).

My son outgrew the small, so we handed it down to a family member. It held up great in the cold weather and snow. For colder days he just added a layer. He loved the jacket so much that I bought it again just in the next size up.

My son wears these outside, sometimes both layers, sometimes just one or the other

No hidden zipper pocket and the clasps that connect the two jackets at the cuffs aren't secure enough so the inner jacket slips past the shell which frustrates my son.

Great coat, great fit. My very picky son loves this coat. soft and easy to get on and off. Also it seems very east to clean. Very good quality. I purchased online and the online sizing tool was right on!! Thank you North face for providing that. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the zip in fleece gets pushed out of the sleeve a little when he puts it on. It has a button to the shell on one side of the sleeve, but not the other side. Overall great jacket!!

This coat cost over $140 at the time of purchase. When it arrived, my immediate reaction was how terribly thin the shell is. We live in a frigid location in the northern most parts of New York State. Temperatures this time of year top out at about 10 degrees on a good day, so my son needs all the warmth he can get. Since The North Face no longer acknowledges temperature ratings on their gear, it makes it especially hard to know if an item is rated to take the cold. The fleece liner is soft and zips into the coat. However, the arms are only held in with a small loop and snap closure at the wrists, which allows the fleece to push out of the wrists when my son puts his arms through it. Additionally, the neck of the fleece does not loop and snap into the shell at the neck, so it slops around easily and my son continually puts his arm between the liner and the shell as he tries to maneuver hanging up the coat (he is 5 years old). When he removes the coat, the arms always pull out so they are turned inside out, which frustrates him endlessly. For the price paid, I am not impressed with the design of this coat and honestly regret buying it. I have had far better constructions from "lesser" name brands and will likely return to them for future purchases for my son's winter coat needs.

This is much thinner than I expected. I feel like the price point is pretty high for what I received. As it is currently still 80 degrees in October in North Carolina, I'll have to wait for our trip to the mountains next weekend to see if it keeps him warm. Great looking coat, though, and does look to be well made. Bought it for my middle schooler and he likes the looks of it and says it feels comfortable on.
