Purchased for my six year old son. Light-weight and warm. But he can move and play without the bulk of a heavy winter coat. Will purchase another next winter.

I absolutely love this coat for my son. It is great for y cold days and cooler fall days. He can easily remove the liner if he gets to hot. I would definitely buy this coat again for him next year.

I purchased this jacket for my son and he and I both love it! He can wear either the outside jacket or inner fleece separately during the chilly fall weather leading up to winter, which gives him a chance to switch up his style. He can combine the two when the winter hits and be both warm and cozy . Last but not least the color combination is not too loud but not boring either.

Love this jacket. North Face puts out great product. The size is perfect and it looks as it will fit this year and next.

This is the fourth tri-climate jacket I have purchased for my son (sizes xs, s, m and now large!). This coat is perfect for all fall, winter and spring conditions. The zip-out fleece liner and shell can be worn independently or combined for cold weather. It's stylish, comfortable, and perfect for any youth activity in any conditions. Great for walking to the school bus or skiing down a double black diamond run. In a perfect world it would have a snow cuff on the shell, but regardless it's an awesome jacket...I will be purchasing the xl when the large no longer fits!

Nice jacket like many north face products the best

This is a Christmas gift for my son. The jacket seems to be well made. I like the fact that he can wear the jacket 3 ways--both pieces together or either piece separately. I was not sure on size for him but the North Face website was very helpful with sizing. Christmas is still a week away so hopefully he likes the jacket--he did point out what he wanted so Santa knew what to bring. :)

My 9yr old autistic son has a lot of sensory issues. He started refusing to wear a jacket in winter(we live in NY). He says they're too big( he means bulky). I researched jackets that would be best for him. I kept coming back to North Face. I decided to order one and give it a try. The best decision I ever made! He loves it! It's so warm and not too bulky! It's perfect! You made a little autistic boy happy and warm.....Thank you!

This was bought for my daughter. She loved the color options better than what was offered in the girls coats. The color is very vibrant and is exactly what she wanted. I like the draw cord at the hem, the collar lining, and the way the hood fits snug around the top of her head. Great quality and features.

We have bought this jacket for years for our three kids. It serves as three coats for the ever-changing weather in the midwest. My kids have always kept warm and dry in this coat and it is a good value considering you get three coats in one. All together - winter, outer layer for wet spring and under layer - fall and spring. I highly recommend this coat and the other ones from the past have been through several kids wear and tear.

This is a great fitting jacket for a 14 yo boy (5'4", 105 Ils, XL) who is not quite in men sizes but needs something long enough and not "kidish". Would highly recommend.

We love the north face products my kids like the 3-1 jackets so they can wear the fleece or the shell and in the winter both together it keeps them very warm and both kids and parents are very happy with the product thanks again northface!
