Agree with other reviewer - these are tighter in the toe box than older Gel Kahanas. I like these shoes because they don't run particularly wide. Normally I wear 7.5, might need to try 8s.

Quality shoe that is sturdy/supportive. I ordered true to size and wish I would have gone a size up. After taking my first run both of feet went numb due to sizing. Hoping they stretch out.

Very cute and really wanted to keep these, but a 7.5 was too small once I put in my orthotic. Usually I am a 7 and I order a 7.5 in athletic shoes because I like to use the orthotic for better support. I did order one Asics shoe in an 8 and that one works.

My first (yes, first!) purchase was in my regular size (7B) and they felt narrow and short. I usually get my GT 1000 Asics in 7B, but unfortunately, I did not really pay attention to the reviews. Those ended up getting donated (worn too many times to return!), and I ordered them in 7 1/2 B, which fit much better. I just wore them in a 1/2 marathon, and they felt great!

I have worn Asics before and have always been happy. I wear orthotics, I have to remove the insole to fit them in and was happy that there was still good cushion. The shoe is light weight and true to size. The outer sole also has great grip for stability.

For athletic shoes I wear a size 7. I ordered a size 7.5 because of my wide feet. It was still too narrow. I exchanged this for the ASICS Gel-Venture 5 in wide.

My daughters both have a pair of these. The one who has a foot more narrow than mine and the daughter who has a foot slightly wider than mine both love this shoe; I have tried to break mine in but my feet still go numb if Im not actively walking in it. It only hurts one foot. I returned mine but it is a well made shoe and worth trying on. It is a study shoe so if it does not fit at first, return it, as this is not a shoe that will "break in"

I liked the looks of the shoes, and since I have worn Asics before thought they would feel like my others. They did not. On this particular style, the sewed-stripe design on the inside of the shoe was very irritating to my foot. I had hoped it would stretch after having on for several minutes. I definitely found out that this was not the shoe for me. I did keep the Duomax though. I really like those.

I always buy Asics because I have a narrow foot. Ihave trouble finding a sneaker that doesn't fall apart within a year so I usually try to buy a trail sneaker. They seem to be built a bit tougher. These were a bit tight the first few times I wore them but the sneakers that are perfect out of the box usually have no support after a few months wear. I've seen cuter Asics but my daughters have been wearing this shoe for 6 months and they all like it. I wear my sneakers everyday for my commute so these may wear faster. It is too early to tell but they seem good so far.

As suggested by other customers, order 1/2 size larger. It's a beautiful shoe and although the heel feel "pinchy", I believe it'll work itself out. I'm happy with this purchase.

I love the shoes. However, the shoe laces are very short. I have purchased ASICS before and the laces were always ample. Not now. If you like to use a "Lace Lock" you'll be out of luck. Other than that, they're great shoes. I'm a size 10.5 they fit like normal ASICS. I do remove the factory inserts and put in Berry SuperFeet.

Ihave had the Asics Gel Kahanas in a few colors and I am a size 12 and they feel good on the feet. I still have to change out the insole for a comfort arch insole due to my arch support need but overall each pair has lasted me a year or more because I wear them for work and play. The only complaint is, I wish that they were made with the area that covers the pinky toe to be further up over the toes beacause my pinky toe on my left foot usually ends up pushing thhrough the material within about six months or so. My second pair, the material on the front of the sneaker or the strips covering that area were placed perfectly as to cover where the pinky toes sit and that did not happen. I had to superglue and sew the area to last a little longer on the other two pairs.

They just feel tight around my feet, but the length is great. I have tried loosening up the laces, but my feet still feel hugged. They have excellent treads for snow and ice and I really like the look.

Did you ever wonder why Asics athletic shoes are half the price of Saucony, Hoka One One and similar? Buy a pair and you will notice that Asics are stiff and just overall seem like a less expensive shoe. But! They have nice coloring and really seem to be well made. Unfortunately for me they pair I bought was too small and I seem to be in-between their sizing so I won't be trying this brand again but they seem like a great and economical choice if they fit you.

The shoe felt like it had good support and traction however it was way too stiff feeling. I will be returning.

I’ve worn ASICS gels for years, but these are not as comfortable as the others. Very stiff, no padding in foot bed. Very sharp -edged tread, I actually cut myself on them. I’ve been trying to break them in for months and they still aren’t comfortable. I wish I had returned them.

I can only compare these ASICS Gel-Kahana 8's (women's, size 10.5 medium width) to ASICS Gel-Venture 6's (women's, size 10.5 medium width). The inserts are removable in both styles so that orthotics can be used. The Kahanas are much snugger, both in length and width. There is much more feedback with the Kahana than with the Venture. The smaller fit and the feedback factor of the Kahana would both make a great trail shoe, which is what the Kahana is designed for. I found the comfort of the Kahana to be lacking, but I am not looking to use it as a trail shoe---so take that with a grain of salt. The heel cup of the Venture is deeper than the heel cup of the Kahana. There is also more ankle support in the Venture than in the Kahana.

These shoes came up too high and kept rubbing my ankle and the insole was a little too firm for my taste.

ASICS changed their fit-style and I had to go up one whole size (which is why I wasn't sure how to answer about size). BUT, they are comfortable to run in and I do feel like I get ample arch support. I have been running in ASICS for about 4 years and, even though I had to go up a size, I still love running in them!

Very sad to say they didn't fit, mostly in width. I would love to try a wide.

Great show runs narrow.

Very narrow toe box but great arch, great looking shoe and looks like it would give plenty of traction on wet trails. I have wide feet need a size in wide width. Will return unfortunately they are too narrow.

Looks much nicer in the pictures than it does in person. Runs a little short and snug. Didn't work for me.

I have loved Asics for years but the box was narrowed and there isn't that much support for people with high arch like me. I have bought several pairs to find a fit like the kayano 19 but have been unsuccessful. Please bring back the old design. I have always have sized a full size with Asics, which is not a problem but having little support its not fun. I end it up give this pair away!!! I can guarantee if I wear this shoes me feet will cramp up and be in pain.
