These are wonderful socks and I highly recommend them.

I wear these socks everyday to work. Like any of their socks it did take a good year or so for the heel to wear out but I've never gotten holes in them. I refuse to wear any other socks after I found SmartWool!

I own every other color and have been buying smartwool for years. No better sick made!

I bought these socks two years ago and practically lived in them for the past few long Wisconsin winters. They are by far my favorite SmartWool socks! Just found found large holes in the heels, so I must replace, but the mediums are all sold-out, heres hoping more are added soon!

Very comfortable for fall weather, a little light for winter wear. Would prefer a little looser at the top.

The socks are good except that the quality is not what it used to be. I have a pair of Smartwool crew socks from a long time ago and to this day they still look brand new. The new ones seem flimsy compared to my old ones.

The fit was true to size. These are so not cozy though at all.

These socks are comfortable for the most part—a little itchy probably because of the wool! But they keep me warm and look cute, so I can deal with the slight itchiness.

I bought the right size for my foot, but these are slightly big. Warm and good looking though.

Despite ordering the small size they are still a bit large and bunch up slightly.

Nice socks overall and great quality. They are a tiny bit itchy for me but I’m sensitive to wool.

The "light" cushioning here is basically non-existent, so don't expect cushiony Smartwool hikers here. But these are thinner, comfortable, dressier socks without the issues that come with cotton, and I can say as someone for whom wool always makes me itch, I've had NO skin sensitivity issues with Smartwool whatsoever. The Medium Grey works with just about anything.

I wear these socks with my casual shoes, and they are comfortable, warm and dry. They aren't as smooth as I had hoped--the cables are very cable-y--but they look good.

We loved the original cable socks and are glad to see that the Cable II is just as great of a sock as the previous.

I've worn the Smartwool Cable II socks for several years. I keep 2 pr. each of the basic colors and rotate my wear so they last longer. The quality is not the same as it was when I began wearing them - they do pill more - but they don't itch or scratch, they hold their shape (I wash them in the machine but do not dry them in the dryer), and are warm, warm, warm! My "go to" sock in the cold Northeast Ohio winter. They are quite expensive, so with the increased pilling, I rate them a four instead of a 5.

Love the color, but was expecting the texture to be like other smart wool socks. These are more rough and kind of different than my other smartwools.

I wear these as often as I can. The only con is that they wore holes in the heel and ball of my foot from so much use. They are extremely comfortable and resist odor... Perfect for winter! Also they give a fun sort of "norse winter" look. Win win!

I've heard a lot about wool socks that are itchy or don't fit right. These aren't like that, totally comfortable and very pretty.

These are great for layering as it gets colder and good for the days where the temperature varies a ton.

I love these socks and own many pairs of them. My only complaint is that the toes are not reinforced as well as they could be. Other than that, they are the perfect sock to wear to work during the winter.

Keeps my feet warm

I adore these socks; they keep my feet warm and dry in the coldesst winter months. They are the perfect weight for work wear and I wear them pretty much every day through the cold winter months (have a drawer full!). The only negative is that the heels wear thin in one season which is disappointing. I wear them to the bitter end though, and have even considered reviving the lost art of darning! I'll continue to buy them however, because I haven't found any other socks I like nearly as much. Perhaps you can beef up the heel area a bit?
