My son ended up using my older Gamma MX Hoody and loved it so much I decided to pass it down. Recently received my new version which has what I enjoyed in the older model plus some nice revisions. Tough outer fabric, great pockets and cuffs, comfy fleece lining and updated side and rear hood pulls. Keep it up!

I bought it 2 months ago, I think, I basically wear it every day for two months, very comfortable, warm and breathable. Very light.

I purchased the Gamma MX hoodie after a few years of waiting and trying to maximize use out of my older Arc Epsilon LT, maybe incorrectly thinking there would be too much functional overlap, but the difference is night and day. The Gamma MX is basically the epitome of what I would be looking for in a non-WPB winter softshell: pliable, stretchy, extremely durable, and surprisingly warm. The fit is also much more forgiving than the Epsilon which I now reserve for cold weather cycling. The Gamma MX is now my go-to winter shell on days when precipitation isn't going to be an issue, and over a lightweight synthetic fill jacket like the Atom LT is about the most winter jacket I need in the northern mid-Atlantic US.

Excellent for sprong, autumn conditions and in winter when skiing Whistler in minus 20oC I use it under my Sabre AR or Theta AR. Versatile great-looking performance jacket. My advice, get one and if looked after it will last 10 years. Even smart enough to wear to the office without looking like a climber.

I am very happy with this layer, both as an outer layer on dry summer days, and mid layer on winter trips. Many pockets are useful, and the fit is great for climbing. Warm enough to wear as a mid/outer layer on winter backcountry ski trips, winter mountaineering, etc where a goretex shell would cause too much moisture build up.

One of, if not the best all around outdoor activity jackets.

I bought this looking for a jacket to wear while bicycling on colder mornings. Ive been happy so far. With appropriate layers it provides good warmth. It also has a hood that goes over my helmet. I havent had to wear it in the rain yet but seems like it would repel a steady rain. I have been pleased that it can be used as a lighter weight jacket to and from work/outings when not riding my bike.

I bought this last summer in preparation for cooler weather activities. I tested it in heavy Pacific NW rainstorms and in moderate snow/wind on Rainier. The quality is superb. The shell product does a great job of shielding wind as well as keeping me dry in light to moderate precipitation. If there is any weakness, I would say that when you stop to rest, a belay coat is a good idea to have available. But when you're active, the Gamma MX performs above expectations.

Very comfortable jacket for chilly days. So far I've only had a chance to test this in around ~60 F weather, with slight rain, but it did exactly what you'd want. Keeps you comfortable and dry in a light rain.

I am a Cross Country coach and teacher in Montana. This jacket pretty much works in all conditions-including quite a bit of rain and snow. I like it because it sheds water, cuts the wind, and isn't too heavy when moving around courses cheering for runners! It isn't totally waterproof, but accommodates a shell easily in heavy downpours. I used it last year at state when it snowed 9 inches with a wind-chill below zero.

Super versatile soft shell with decent layering options underneath. For reference I was able to comfortably layer an Atom LT of the same size underneath. A Cerium LT of the same size was a little too puffy for it. The hood is quite large because it's meant to be able to fit over a helmet. If that's an issue for you, then just be aware of that (you can easily tighten it down to fit over a non-helmeted head).

This is, by far, the best soft shell I have ever used. The product has excellent DWR capabilities and includes a fleece interior that provides me the appropriate level of warmth with out developing perspiration . The Gamma is able to keep me comfortable during active hikes/climbs during there Fall, Summer and Spring.

I live near Madison, WI and our weather can go from 30s in the morning to 70s in the afternoon with a mix of rain to sun. This jacket allows me to layer perfectly depending on the days needs. I am very pleased. Its also beautiful.

This is going to be my new go to for many years to come. It's very light, and very breathable while also being warm. It's great for biking and hiking in cool weather, and has enough range of motion to play fall golf in.

Got this jacket to replace an old jacket Arcteryx no longer makes. Really happy with it! Warm enough for those cool coastal days, super comfortable. Very happy with this jacket overall

I've just bought my second Gamma MX after a six year gap. My first was worn till it wore out. I tried a replacement at the time but the sizing had changed as had the material. Now the latest MX hoody is as good as I remember the original, but with smarter sleeve ends and fit as I remember.

Simple jacket with all the features you need. Perfect combo with the groomed polartec glued to a softshell, comfortable on skin. Great materials, perfect fit, sleek and simple design, you can wear it in town without being too flashy. You can wear it with just a tshirt or with multiple layers.

I've had this jacket since January. How it regulates temperature so well I'm genuinely at a loss to explain. I went out for a 15'ish mile walk on Sunday, it was middle 60's temperature wise. If my memory serves me correctly, I was wearing a Cormac Comp t-shirt underneath & at no point did I feel the need to take off the jacket to cool down. I can recall walks where I've sweated profusely & been left feeling very clammy but no such issue with this jacket. I used this under my Beta AR earlier in the year when it was considerably more chilly & I can confirm it's great at heat retention when needed.

I bought the Women's Gamma MX Hoody in Cobalt Moon as a birthday present for myself at the beginning of the year. Perfect gift! I've used it for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, cycling and plan to use it for mountain biking in cooler temps. Seems durable, extremely breathable, is super comfortable and keeps you warm on colder days with a thermal layer or fleece underneath. Sheds some light rain and snow, but I throw on a waterproof over the top if raining or snowing heavily. Sleeves are nice and long for biking etc.

I've been wearing my Gamma MX for my daily commute from Westchester Cty to SoHo. 8 miles of which I ride an electric scooter. The Dynasty color is perfect for high visibility, and the Gamma MX has kept me dry and comfortable in some hard rain and wind. Fit is accurate. Lots of pockets. When it's cold, I wear an Atom LT or Atom SL underneath.

Perfect combination of features I typically need for Colorado's shifty weather. Warm insulation but breathable when active, offers protection from light precipitation, nice pocket options and a first rate hood if the wind or snow pops up
