I ordered these for my mom, who has a foot injury, as prescribed by her podiatrist. They are in men’s sizes, so a quick call to Zappos to ask for a conversion and I was helped to pick the perfect size. My mom is thrilled with the sizing and the comfort.

I've worn these for over a year and they still look great! Very comfortable!

Great Shoe! I bought the M990V4 because of its ratings and wasn't disappointed. Usually, I wear a size 12, but the last pair of New Balance I tried on felt really small. This led me to think the shoes ran a half size small, so, as an experiment, I went up a half size and went to the EE width. I couldn't be happier with the fit! The 12 1/2 was perfect and the extra width made all the difference. I tried several pairs of socks, both thin and thick, and the shoes felt great with all of them, just cinched them up a bit tighter as needed. Great walking shoes and I've received some nice compliments on them, so that's a plus. I can recommend this shoe easily. Just keep in mind they run a bit small. True to size and a little bit narrow for me (the wide was not available), but it stretched within less than an hour of use. Extremely comfortable and great looking. I have used these for light treadmill running (2-3 miles at a time), without issues so far. Great buy.

The men's 990v4 8 1/2 B seems a bit short. I am currently wearing a women's size 11 B which is fine, however, because the men's shoe was on sale, I thought I'd try the 8 1/2 B as that is the usual size I wear. The men's shoe is a nice shoe, however, I like to have slightly more room for my toes, thus I returned the men's 8 1/2 B shoe. I plan to order either a men's 9 B or a women's 11 B of the 990v4 or 990v5. Zappos is my go to shoe source.

These are great shoes. I have AA width feet and they are the first running shoes that have really fit in years. I did have to get a half size larger than my original order. I have worn these almost every day for 10 weeks. I walk, on average, 9,000 steps/day on sidewalks. Works out to 63,000 steps, or about 600 miles. I oversupinate (roll my foot outward), so I wear out shoes quickly. I'm beginning to feel them breaking down. Ordering a couple of new pairs. It is so hard to find AA width shoes. I rated "style" 3 stars only because, with my feet, I have a choice between New Balance and New Balance for running shoes. After years and years, I'm getting a little tired of their logo, even though I appreciate the fact that they make hard-to-find sizes.

I wear a 11.5 4E so it’s pretty hard finding shoes that look good and fit well. I bought the Castle Rock Grey pair 7 months ago and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

I bought this for comfort. I have bought 6 pairs and end up returning ALL of them except this one. My son is picky and comfort shoes is a MUST when playing sports. He normally wears 9.5, but we bought size 10 wide and it fit perfectly. I am buying a 2nd pair for my husband.

I wear 11 in Made in USA running shoes these 11.5 were just that half size too large which made the fit a bit sloppy. The same NB shoe in 11 fits perfectly. I’ve noticed that the made in China shoes run 1/2 size small so if it’s made in China I order and usually fine a good fit in 11.5 size.

AT FIRST, HAD A REALLY HARD TIME FIGURING OUT HOW TO LACE IT AND THEN IT FELT A BIT TOO SMALL....SNUG. BUT AFTER WALKING AROUND FOR A WHILE, IT'S PERFECT.

Best shoe purchase ever! I am 210lb ,6.3 feet and this shoe fits perfectly. I have tried many other brands like Asics, Nike , adidas ,etc 990 is the most comfortable of all.

I used New Balance width and length chart, and ordered that size based on my largest foot. Fit is excellent. Shoes force a flat strike, limit my tendency to supinate.

These are great shoes- definitely comfortable and hold up running miles and miles.

I am in my 70's and as we all know balance becomes a little more challenging as we age. This shoe restored a lot of my balance as I walk. I try to walk 1-2 miles daily and this shoe took me to a new level of comfort and stability.

I’m a large man, 6’2”, 285 lbs. I’m a server in a busy restaurant, I’m on my feet anywhere from 6 to 9 hours without a break, and covering anywhere from 6 to 9 miles a night. My last pair of shoes, granted, were worn out and my feet extremely sore at the end of a shift, even sore the next morning. Without break-in, the first night in these shoes were heavenly. Third shift was tonight and my feet are continuing to feel better. On a side note, my right foot is beyond caveman wide due to jamming my big toe and developing a rather large bunion. The 4E shoe is barely wide enough, my normal foot is pretty wide to begin with. My other ‘normal’ foot also loves these shoes more than any shoe I can remember. Knocked a star on style because I’m pretty much too cool, but the all black satisfies even my picky taste.

Perfect fit. If you value your feet, spend the money to be in these sneakers.
