These boots are super cute, I bought them to wear for my wedding. I wish they had them in a wide, they run small. I sized up thinking they would work but sadly they were way too narrow and uncomfortable.

I ordered this boot specifically because it came in a Wide to accommodate tailors bunions I have on both feet. I don't feel it is any wider than a medium width.

Well, these boots are beautiful in person (sassy brown). I love the way they look so much I was willing to go out of my way to make them work as best as I could. First, I am a true size 81/2. I ordered a 9 to begin with, just because some people said they ran small/felt tight. They were WAY too small and tight. Returned those and got a 91/2. STILL too tight. Going up to a size 10 seemed unreasonable so, right now, as i write this review, they are at a shoe and boot repair shop getting stretched. The owner assures me they will be fine after 4 days of being stretched. I hope so because there’s no going back at this point.

Lovely boots the colour was darker than expected by the advertised picture. Also quite small made. I would normally take a size 6, purchase 6.5 to be safe but would need a 7-7.5.
Returns were a lot more difficult than expected, took a few days getting the assistance thats offered. However once Ariat were organised all went smoothly. Awaiting evidence of the return and refund.

I love the way these boots look and they appear to be well made, however they were just not comfortable for me. I really wished they would have worked out.

These are made in Indonesia. The leather is just noticeably poor in quality. It's that compressed, plastic-y type leather that breaks instead of stretches. It smells more like chemicals than leather. It's not supple at all, it's hard and dry. It's such a shame because the boot design is absolutely adorable. I just wish their manufacturers in Mexico made a higher quality version of this boot. I have wide-feet, and even when I ordered the wide version it was still way too tight. The size wides were more narrow than other ariat boots in medium. If you have narrow feet, order the normal width. If you have medium feet, order the wide. If you have wide feet, stay away. :-(

I wanted my first pair of Western boot, and I think the Darlin style s adorable and irresistible. I have a guilty conscience for succumbing as I avoid products that involve animal cruelty or exploitation in the making, including the promotion of Western rodeo culture. But I love the equestrian element of Ariat that respects horses. I bought the wide in black, and looked forward to experiencing the great comfort I read about in reviews before I bought these, but they are uncomfortably narrow, though I am hanging in there with breaking them in, hoping they will stretch with time. They are hard to get into, I have a good instep which makes the top of my foot hard to slide into and I will never be able to wear anything but the slimmest sock. They seem to be high quality craftsmanship.

I have a very similar pair of artists that are also a 7b and when you hold them up together they aren't anywhere near the same size. These look and feel a full size smaller.

Great fit! Wore them with my mother of the bride dress! Also great with jeans. Good quality leather and color. I got the red ones.

This boot is cute but not worth the money. Rubber sole, and fake leather . I would've returned them , but I needed them for an upcoming event.

My red Darlin boots came in the mail today. Sadly I will have to return them as they are way too small, both in width and length. Typically size 11 shoes/boots fit me perfectly. These were marked 11 but seemed more like a 10, a full size smaller. Other than the size they are absolutely adorable.

I have been buying Ariat shoes since the company started. In fact, I am still wearing a pair of Heritage Roper boots that are over 30 year old and they still get compliments. I wanted the Darlin to be another hit but they were too narrow. I also disliked the distressed look of the boots. I wish Ariat would offer more boots that are not distressed.

These were way too tight across the top of my foot. I usually wear an 8.5 and got these in the 9 but they are too narrow. The red is a really rich, deep color...too bad these are going back!

I have tried for years to find a comfortable boot. This boot, as cute as it is, was not comfortable under the ball of my foot....it was so hard. Perhaps a metatarsal pad might have helped, but I cannot "patch" up an expensive boot in hopes I can wear it an entire day. After dealing with Plantar Faciitis for 5 years (*I'm over it now thanks to PT, Dry needling, and wearing soft footbed Birkenstocks), I have to continue to be real picky on comfort.

I just opened these and they are so beautiful! I was very excited to try them on. They are also extremely well made. The leather is gorgeous. But, unfortunately, they are so wide on the shaft for a 12B/reg that I didn't even need to open the zipper and I am not sure why it is even included. This boot falls off unfortunately. Sometimes shoemakers need to understand that even though the foot is longer, it doesn't mean that the ankle or calf needs to be upsized. This happens with a lot of boots. If you have wider calves, you may really like this boot. I was just swimming in them. So so sad to send these pretty things back.

Way too small for my 9W feet. Ordered said size but it was way too narrow around the ankles. Will be returning.

I already own a pair of Darlin's from last year (the Pendleton collab), so I figured I knew how these would fit. Without reading the description but only looking at the picture, I assumed these were pull-on - they're not, they have zippers. Not a deal breaker but not what I expected. But in the same size I've been wearing in Ariats for years, I couldn't even get them on! Way too short/tight for the size.
Wish they didn't have the zips, or else I'd just order a size or two up.

Disappointed in these. It got great reviews, but maybe not for the leopard print style I chose. Stiff fabric, didn't feel like leather. Left shoe too tight, the right instep dug in to my foot. Can't tell if the arch support is any good. These were on clearance, which made them tempting to try, but also, maybe that's why. I have other Ariats, and they fit great.

I wear Ariat riding boots, in both Western and English, so I assumed that same quality would apply to their fashion line as well. Maybe it did in some ways, but not in the qualities I seek in a boot - the leather was hard yet felt less durable, and there was noticeably less padding in the footbed. These are issues I could live with for a fashion shoe, however the color did not match my expectations from the photo. The red color is a very bright, almost cherry red with a glossy finish. If you are expecting dark red, oxblood, or even burgundy, these are not it.

Long time Ariat fan, and have the boot collection to prove it. Ordered these boots to be my summer western riding boot, but had to return them. They were a bit short and a bit narrow, and more importantly, the placement and angle of the heel was such that it wasn't comfortable or sufficiently functional for being at the barn and riding. Very disappointed, as I expected these to be an updated version of the Billie short boot which I have in red and LOVE and wear all the time when the weather warms up.
