This style in stingray is my third pair! I have the black leather and brown (luggage color) both of which I've worn many times. When I saw the stingray I decided to give it a shot (Zappos fabulous return policy makes it so easy). I love the texture and soft sheen. As with the others, I love the comfort and the soft leather insole. I tried the flat style (Bay Unique) but they were a little too wide for me (I wear an 8M). I reviewed the other pairs but wanted to recommend the unusual stingray also. They are all worth a try!

Depending on the shoe, I wear an 7.5 or an 8. The 7.5 were too small and the 8 was out of stock. Even though the shoe was too short, I could tell that it would have been a very comfortable shoe.

I love these shoes! They were comfortable right out of the box. They are great for work, very easy to walk in, and yet light and feminine. They look good with skirts and nice shorts that show off the elastic cross over your ankle. These were true to size on me, I wear an 8.5 medium.

So crazy comfortable. I read a review that worried or complained about the heel height, but I need a bit of a heel - true flats are not helpful to my feet, so these are great. There is no extra pressure on the balls of the feet because they are still relatively flat. I did need a 7 1/2 when I'm usually a 7. They are attractive but not sexy. I bought these to wear at a part time job where I am on my feet for hours at a time, and they are great. I'm a fashion conscious woman in my late 40's, by the way.

These are my new go-to shoes. Seriously? The best shoes I have bought in years. I love them so much, I'm considering buying a second pair to have in reserve. I only wear comfort shoes, usually European brands, due to past injuries and the fact that I have MS and have balance problems. These are super comfy, without looking like clunky old grandma shoes. They look cute with crops and skirts, and the ankle straps keep them on securely. I have average ankles, and the ankle straps have loosened up a little after a few months' wear. Not too much for me, but could be a problem for someone with very tiny ankles.

The shoes I wanted were sold out so these were my second choice. They are a little pricey for me, still can't believe I bought them. So they really needed to be all that. Which is comfort for work as I run around all day, something for skirts and dresses and stylish too. This combo is hard to find. I'm a 6.5 and they fit perfect. They feel like they could use a little breaking in as the right side was rubbing the outside of my foot. I'm starting to get bunions and the doctor said no more pointy shoes and better cushioning. So these fit the bill so far. They come up high enough on the inside to not hit the big toe bone. I just received so I can't comment on overall comfort, but out the box they feel good.

Beautiful shoe, but for me, I'm in between sizes. The toe box is too small on the 9.5 and the 10 fits well in the shoe but the elastics then bulge. But oh so comfortable, stylish and practical.

These shoes are really cute, comfortable and well made. I love the soft leather insole which is so hard to find at this price point. The heel is perfect when ballet flats don't work and I need a closed toe. I've had other Kenneth Cole shoes but these are my first from Gentle Souls. I just ordered another pair in the brown (I wish they were available in other colors).

Really cute but cross strap cut into bottom of my arch. I loved them and really disappointed they were not good fit for my foot.

Love the shoes but they run short. Normal size is 7 1/2 W had to return for a size 8 W which fit perfectly.

Compared to a Naot European size, this one is too short and not enough room in the toe box. Beautiful shoe in style and color. So disappointed I needed to return them.

love the shoe and the style. only problem is the ankle straps are a litte bit too long. I am keeping the shoe with the hopes I won't walk out of them!

I ordered these in a half size larger than I normally wear, and it still was a bit short. I could feel my toes all the way down to the front of the shoe. They also looked a little "clunky" to me, so I returned them. Gentle Souls are normally very comfortable, but at this price it has to be perfect.

Super comfy, and they were a perfect transition from summer to fall, when I didn't want open toes. Gentle Souls are usually high on comfort, which for me is a #1 priority.

I've been looking for some black sort of dressy shoes, and I love ankle straps of all sorts, especially elastic ones. So I gave these a try. They fit true to length (I'm a 9.5 and the shoe fits); they're a bit narrow, but so are my feet. They have absolutely NO arch support and less padding in the insole than any other GS shoe I've ever tried on. Hmmm. The elastic ankle bands look pretty good but they're kind of loose on me so they bulge and don't lay flat. I have fairly narrow/thin ankles, so perhaps that's it. I like the low heel/wedge, and I like the cut of the toe (tho if it hit my big toe joint I sure wouldn't; it just misses that lump). So they're stylish, almost comfortable, and almost worth keeping. But not good enough at that price. Too bad.

these shoes are very flattering and comfortable, however at this price I'd like to see the ankle strap be made of a more lasting material. They are best worn without stockings because the zipper stitching may snag them. One side did this but not the other. They are somewhat narrow in the tip of toes, but the leather is soft. I hope they don't look too warn too soon. Again at this price they should last through at least one resoling.

These shoes are stunning! Gorgeous style and fit true to size. However, I'll be sending them back because the toe is just a tad too narrow (it's much more pointed than other similar styles). I have pretty high expectations for this price, and they were just not *quite* perfect.

I LOVE this shoe style and find them to be very feminine and comfortable. I like the wedge heel, which gives me a little lift but not at the expense of comfort. This will be my third pair in this style--my only complaint is that the elastic bands on the pair I received seemed a bit larger than the others. They still keep my foot from coming out of the shoe when I walk, but they don't feel as secure as the other two pair. I got the medium brown which is a beautiful caramel color, a nice neutral, and it goes with everything. Very happy with the brand and the style.

Love this style, I already own the black however they need just a bit more arch support to make them perfect.

I love the look of these shoes! My friend has them in black stingray and they look great on her feet! She has plantar fasciitis and these feel good to her. Sadly, they did not fit my feet. They were too big and floppy in my regular size, and in a half-size down they felt too short. I have skinny, bony feet, so maybe that's why.

The shoes feel a little wide to me, but I love them so I will wobble around. The elastic around the ankle is a little loose also, but I can't imagine going down a size as then the toes would be smooshed. I would not consider myself to be one with small ankles, so if you have small ankles this might be a big problem. These are very cute shoes when you want something that is closed toed, stylish and comfortable. I am keeping them even with the imperfections. We will see how they last!

My feet are too low volume for these shoes. Lovely shoes but better for people with fuller volume feet.
