I own the grey pair of these Gentle Souls and love them so much I ordered the black pair. Back in the spring, they also offered a pale pink suede, which I indulged in. I also own the flat version of these, but I like that the wedge made SUCH a difference to dress up an outfit vs the flat. I also had an ankle injury a few years back and this is such a gentle wedge that it doesn't put a lot of undue pressure on the ankle and is comfortable enough to walk in all day. This is a great addition to any wardrobe.

This shoe is very comfortable and I've gotten a lot of complements. I like that it's a wedge and not too high of a heel. After walking all over Paris in these puppies, nothing looks worn down and the black did not come off as another reviewer experienced. If that were the case I would have returned them used because that’s just wrong. I like really good arch support in my shoes (no orthotics) and there is only a tiny bit of arch support in these; the difference between the height of the instep (measuring from the floor to the top of the arch) compared to the height of the outer side of the shoe (again, measuring from the floor to the top of the insole is ~1/8". I'd say it's more in-between moderate and no arch support. BUT, they have a slightly cushy insole that made up for it, at least for me. Last thing… I would like to see it in other colors.

Beautiful, sexy, comfortable - unless you have a bunion because the picture doesn't show that on the inside, the leather cuts lower than on the outside, showing the bunion.

I loved these shoes! And then I continued to wear them. I think I'm at the 10th day of wear and the black has worn off and they look super run down. I would buy a different color than black next time but I'm super disappointed for a nearly a pricey shoe. I love the arch support but they are made of cheap material and the rubber bottom soul is starting remove itself from the shoe, really not worth the money. Maybe if they were less bucks I would considering buying them.

Perfect but runs small! I always wear a 10 in Gentle Souls but will try an 11.

Nice quality, I will purchase this brand in future. My one issue with all women's fashion comfort shoes is: why the need for an elevated heel (unless of course the shoes are designed specifically to be heels)? This design puts a lot of pressure on forefoot.

I really wanted to like these adorable shoes but the leather in the front dug in to my inside foot. Unfortunately, they are going back.

I ordered my usual size-9.5 and the toe was pushing up to the end. I then ordered the 10 and it was barely different , but I like then so much I will try them on . again. They are so soft and I find that I am having trouble with flats--I need to have something to keep them on my feet, so these straps are great. Let's see what happens. I just ordered Eileen Fisher Bovary,but they are chunky, maybe i will keep both.

Cute and comfortable. I only purchased on sale as I feel that $195 is too high - even the $136 is at the top of what I would pay. The toe box is wider than a usual M width - it took 2 tries to get a pair that fit right ... all the same size so there is quite a bit of variation within a size. I will still have to wear a foot pad to allow for how deep the toe box is. Gentle Souls seem to be made for a bit wider and heavier foot than mine.

I ended up returning this shoe because I also have the platform of this shoe and decided to go with a different lower platform shoe to add to my collection. However, in trying this shoe on, it's just like the platform shoe. Super comfortable and can wear all day without feet fatigue.

These shoes are very comfortable to walk in all day. The ballerina shoe design makes them perfect for dress up and dress down. These have excellent arch support and are true to size. The toe box is perfect and they are ready to wear out of the box. The elastic around the ankle is comfortable and soft which does not dig like some ankle straps do in other shoes. The quality is great and the leather is buttery soft.

The size and fit were good, the toe box was wider at the widest part of my foot, but that felt more comfortable as I walked in them. I liked the shoe quite a lot. I did not keep them because I have very narrow ankles and quite developed calves. One ex-boyfriend told me I had "Michelangelo legs". The straps at the ankles emphasized the difference in size between my ankles and my calves. I planned to wear the shoes with short skirts...my legs did not look good. With pants or culottes, these shoes would be great. However, I rarely wear pants.

These are so cute and flattering and appear more expensive than they are. (I was surprised to find that Gentle Souls are made by Kenneth Cole; that explains the style and quality.) However, I'm returning mine because I have big calves and not much ankle (I'm 5'2') so I know the height of the back portion and straps will eventually rub me to irritation. So sad because I know these would go with so many outfits. (I ordered the "Nora" at the same time and I'm definitely going to keep those.)

Very graceful looking shoe but I expected a better fit from Gentle Souls, which I've worn in the past. A 7M was a bit snug around the little toe and a 7.5M was sloshy feeling. I opted for the 7.5 cos who needs a pinchy shoe? With insoles it works, sort of.

Very cute shoe for casual wear; super comfortable except runs a little small. Was unable to wear normal size without pressure on toes, so sadly had to return.

I really want to like this shoe, but the toe bed is too short. I am a 7.5M and I don't believe a different size would resolve the issue. Beautiful looking, and well made.

For $200 I wanted perfection. If these were $100, I would have kept them and broken them in, but they just were not comfortable enough for me to keep them.

I've always been an 8 or 8.5. I ordered and 8.5 in these and they were very snug. I've never had to get a 9 in any shoes before. And for $200 I expected them to be really comfortable and they were not, so sadly they are going back.

These shoes are so comfortable and and good looking! Run very true to size.

Love this basic, classic shoe style which looks good with any outfit - pants, crops, dresses/skirts. Very comfortable - can wear/walk all day even if you have issues of feet/ankle swelling. Bought in both the tan and black. Wish they came in other colors!

Usually wear a7 1/2 wide but front was short exchanged for 8 wide and fit perfect

Loved the shoe and fit but gong forward will probably order 1/2 size up for length (ordered same size n the blk leather but leather was hitting my toe so tried ordering 1/2 larger).

These are very comfortable shoes and stylish.
