These shoes are so cute! Love the twisted cording, and the grey/pistachio color is a great neutral. I usually wear a size 8, and these seemed true to size. I have a flat, narrow foot, but with the adjustable Velcro strap I could adjust for an accurate fit. However, I'm so disappointed that I have to return them, because as another reviewer noted, the side is too high for me and it rubbed uncomfortably on my ankle bone. I will look for a similar JBU style and hope to find my perfect fit.

Once again, I am reminded of how excellent Zappos reviewers are. I ignored reviews noting the issue of ankle bone rubbing with this shoe, and sure enough, it did. I have a low volume, flat foot with a narrow heel. This shoe fit my forefoot perfectly and is cuter than depicted, but terrible design of the heel.

So, I ordered these because I once owned this exact style before. The only difference is that the brand name was changed from J-41 to JBU. I loved the J-41 version of the shoes so much. They were cute and incredibly comfortable right out of the box. The got dirty quickly and the soles wore out sooner than I would have liked, but otherwise they were great. So I ordered them again in a darker color. They look exactly the same, but they don't fit the same. Now the left side of the left shoe digs into the skin right at the bottom of the ankle bone. It is incredibly painful. It bleeds--it is not a blister. It is worse on the left than right, but since I did not have this issue with the last pair, and have not had this issue with other shoes, I think the problem is with the poor craftsmanship of the shoe, not the physiognomy of my foot. I put in a heel cushion to raise my ankle up a bit, but the rest of my foot is not as comfortable this way. I am not sure I can recommend these shoes anymore. You might order a pair and they might be fine, but they might not. Unfortunately, quality control seems to be an issue for JBU. It is too bad--I REALLY loved these shoes before.

I wouldn't say they have excellent arch support, but certainly very good arch support. I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis and found these to be very comfortable. Have been wearing them for the last couple of summers and time for a new pair. The price is excellent, they are comfortable right out of the box, they look good with shorts or casual skirts or dresses.

I love these shoes. Since they arrived I have worn no others all summer. I wear them barefoot, so they sometimes sink, but they are completely washable. I take out the sole liners and soak them in vinegar or light bleach and they are like brand new. The are SO comfortable and even though they are glorified reef walkers, I wear them them with sun dressed and pants and I think they look great. I got them with a discount so am not quick to purchase another pair for full price, but may do so as they are such a comfortable and stylish pair of summer shoes. I should note that I am retired and don't wear these in a work environment. But I have abandoned my running shoes and stylish sandals for these shoes. I just love them!

My feet seem to fit perfectly into these shoes. Lots of support. No slipping in the heel. Would wonder if the strap will be comfortable or rub after wearing for extensive hours in a day, but have not done so yet.

I bought this shoe in 2016 and the comfort was perfect. This year I have same concern as other customers. I wore the shoe for only a short period of time and the back of the shoe was so stiff, it broke the skin on back of my foot. I do hope this information is being communicated to manufacturer because other than that, it is a great shoe. The padding and arch support has improved over last year.

LOVE THESE SHOES! I had the earlier version a couple of years ago and wore them all through Europe on a 2 week tour. They never let me down. So when they wore out and I saw they were no longer available I was very sad. But now there's the Encore, and it's even better - feels a little more sturdy. Still the cushy footbed, adjustable secure straps, cute colors (I wish there were more!) and styled for wearing with skirts, pants, dresses. I usually wear between 7.5 and 8. Was a solid 8 in these - sent the 7.5 back.

These are beautiful shoes and I would love to keep them, but they are too small, which is strange, because I have other shoes in this same size from the same manufacturer that fit fine. Also, the back of the shoe was too high on me and rubbed my ankle. Wish they fit.

I am sad to return these shoes. Unfortunately, these shoes hit my ankle as I walked making it an uncomfortable shoe. I tend to have skinny ankles and large ankle bones. Otherwise, cute and comfortable.

These offer reasonable amount of support for being such a light shoe. They don't dry as quickly as I'd hoped, but are generally comfortable. The back is rubbing on my heel, I'm hoping it's just breaking in. Would still recommend.

I love these, with one caveat. The good news first - these require no break-in time and are wonderful right out of the box. I bought the grey and purple and enjoy the color combination. Toe coverage is a plus - if you're walking through rocks, it's nice to have your toes protected. The one bad thing is that after about three months of wear, the uppers have developed a small hole each, right where my big toe reaches the mesh and the sole begins. It's not enough to stop me from considering a reorder, though.

These shoes fit great in my high arch and fit my size 10 perfectly (ordered a size 10). The only issue I have with them is, for some reason, the shoe hits too high on the outside of my right foot. It rubs my ankle bone. Other than that, they're cute and comfy but the ankle bone rubbing limits my ability to wear them for long periods of time.

Overall this shoe was cute and felt comfortable EXCEPT that the outer edge dug into the under side of my ankle. Either my ankle sits too low or the side rises too high.

Recently I have had to wear an AFO (ankle foot orthosis) on my right foot. I am a shoe LOVER and I am heartbroken that I am unable to wear ANY of my shoes now. No sandals or flip flops, no ballet flats, and of course absolutely NO heels. My search for a pair of shoes that don't look like something off the shelf at the medical supply store has been difficult to say the least. My right foot has to have at least an 8 1/2 but usually a 9 now when I normally wear an 8. This has forced me to buy two paris of shoes in some cases so that I can fit my brace and my size 8 left foot at the same time. These shoes have MADE MY DAY!! I was so pleased with them being very cute as well as comfortable and sporty without being clunky. But just as I feared the right shoe was just a tad too tight with my brace so I took the insole out of the right shoe. Eureka! It worked! I now have a very cute pair of shoes that are comfortable and are able to hold my brace in place. Thank You JBU! and Thank You Zappos! for helping feel good about my feet again!

Love these shoes especially the pop of color across the toes and ankle. I ordered both 7 and 7.5 as I wasn't sure what size to get for Jambu shoes, but turned out they fit true to size so I'm keeping the 7's.

I love them! They are lightweight, have comfortable support without being at all clunky, and surprising cute and feminine-looking for such a sturdy, sporty shoe. I don't use them for any hiking type stuff, just knocking around town, hanging out summer shoes. But very comfortable and very cute! Love the look of the twisted elastic - it comes off like a ribbon kind of thing and dresses them up and feminizes them just a bit. Two thumbs up!

I ordered my regular size & the seam that started the toe box was too tight. Ordered a half size bigger & they are perfect. (I do not have wide feet.)

This shoes fits true to size and width. I have a pair from the first time JBU had these shoes and I loved them! When I couldn't order them again I was very sad - I had forgotten my motto that if you find a pair of shoes that you LOVE always order a second pair - and I didn't order the second pair. When I saw that they had them again I got another pair - and I'm going to order that second pair! They don't have great arch support, but my inserts fit just fine even with the insole still in the shoe. They are light weight and extremely comfortable!! If you like the JBU brand, don't forget to look at Jambu.

Great shoes! I just purchased my third pair. Not only are they extremely comfortable but they dry quickly if you get them wet. These are my go to knock around shoes.

I own every color (most colors are sold out now) and just ordered a pair for my daughter. It took wearing thick socks to break-in the heel cup. I did that for two weeks inside the house. After that, they didn't bother my heels. I wore them for light walking during a two month trip to Europe. My feet never hurt and no blisters! I receive lots of compliments when I wear these JBU shoes.

I went up a half size to a 6.5 as the 6 had my toes bumping the front of the shoe. I LOVE these shoes. This is second pair. The comfortable, cute, can get wet, can be washed. I get compliments on them as well. I have the gray and green and the purple and black. Can't recommend enought!

cute little shoe! Remarkably, they fit and feel good even on my bunion foot. Wish the toe box was a tad deeper, however.
