comfy and soft in the foot bed but not true to fit.. hurts the ankles

I have a pair of Jambu "Iris" water-ready shoes that I absolutely adore. They are cute enough to wear every day, everywhere. I wore them over river rocks, through mountain creeks and ankle deep mud; they washed up like a dream and were ready for a museum visit the next day. After two years, I decided I needed a new pair. Sadly, the JBU "Misty" is not up to the challenge. The Mistys rubbed my ankle bones as other reviewers have noted, but I was also disappointed in the soles, which have no traction whatsoever. They seem to have some sort of felty covering that makes them impossible on hardwood floors and other smooth surfaces. I didn't try them in water because I was pretty sure I wanted to return them. Perhaps the felt would become more sticky when wet?? Alas, they are certainly not the go anywhere shoe the Iris was.

These shoes rub my ankle bone. I tried an insert to raise my heals but they still cause irritation at my ankles. Disappointed ??

These are made with an unusually high heel cup. The mesh fabric is soft enough when trying on, but upon walking in them for just 5 mins they scraped a flap of skin off my ankle. So now I've got a pair that I can't return because they're worn, but that I also can't wear. Not happy.

These shoes are almost great shoes. However, the outside of the shoe sits too high and rubs so severely on my ankle bone that it rubs a hole in the skin of my ankle after walking only a couple of blocks. The piping around the edge of the shoe is quite stiff too, so I don't think they'll ever wear in to the point that they'll be comfortable. It's a real shame because otherwise they're very cute and every other aspect of the shoe is very comfortable. I wish I had sent them back but I didn't realize how uncomfortable they were until it was too late.

I am happy that the shoe design doesn’t get near my ankle bone, so these are just as comfortable as all the other Jsport shoes I own. For me, using a dress orthotic adds enough support for them to be walking shoes and my usual size worked out just right. Cute shoes!

Perfect fit and cute style

Cute and comfy. Not much arch support - pretty flat. Strap comes over my foot - but just barely. But I do have a ‘fat’ foot! They are adorable.

I bought two pairs of the Misty Encore, both in a 9.5. One pair was a snug tight the other a snug loose. Will keep because both are comfortable and they are look nice. Fun shoes for work or weekends and go with about any outfit. Will use on my next trip out of town. Will be easy to pack and easy to get on and off quickly for the airports.

I bought these shoes years ago, wore them to death, and I love them so much I bought them again! They are very comfortable and stylish. They go with everything. So glad I was able to repurchase all these years later.

First time buying JBU , I only had Jambu previously. Comfortable right out of the box , amazing comfort for my plantar fasciitis. It didn’t rub my ankle bone at all. It didn’t felt narrow on my feet , but I have narrow feet. Cute casual shoes !!

I have a narrow foot, usually have to have a mary jane type strap as these do to hold them on. I don't know why they fit me so well other than the strap because they are a medium. Normally, the fore part would be too wide. But these are fit me really well.I had a pair before that lasted a couple of years before the strap gave out. But that was my fault. With this replacement pair, I'm going to treat them more gently. I've tried a lot of similar shoes, and these are gems for all day comfort, walking anywhere, and looking graceful the whole time.

Love these! Breaking in is painful across the top of the foot, but worth it. So cute and being black can be dressed up or down.

i purchased these shoes. Love them!! Put on wore to work and have never had a problem with them. Love everything about them.

This is my second pair of these. They run a little narrow, but I have narrow feet so that works for me. They rubbed slightly on one heel and under the curve in front on one shoe, but that went away with in the first 15 minutes of wearing. Not bad enough to blister or break skin. I have a high arch, and the arch support on these is good, not perfect, but definitely good. They used to sell them in a navy blue and I wish they still did. They are great for when you want something comfortable that is not a sneaker.

My shoes fit very well, good support, and soft insole. They withstood an hour walk with no problems. Also traveled by plane for 3 hrs, and they felt just fine.!

This shoe was all I had hoped for. It fit perfectly and looks very nice. This is a casual shoe but will definitely wear with a skirt to church. I am so impressed with the shipping speed. I can order one day and get them the next. Crazy! I will continue to shop with Zappos.

Super comfortable. Needed a summer shoe I could wear with my orthotics. These won out over shoes twice as expensive.

Adorable! Love the look of these shoes. Almost sent them back because the back of the heel dug into my ankle, but I bought heel inserts to raise my heel up and the problem was solved! I bought these for Disney because I really needed something comfortable and attractive enough to wear with shorts or a skirt. Thanks Zappos! These will fit the bill!

I am so happy this style is back! These shoes are so comfortable! Lots of room in the toe for my wide feet, nice flexible sole, almost feels like a ballet slipper. I have the pistachio/gray and get compliments on them ALL the time. It's been a few years and they are finally wearing out, so I'm buying the same color again......but may also get a second color!

I absolutely love this shoe! I have 6 pair...and just ordered another color...Live in this style at work all summer...I have trouble with an area on my big toe on both feet that cannot take pressure from most other shoes...these are perfect for me...I usually wear an 8.. but the 8.5 is right for me...I can wear all day standing at work without any problem....wish they made in red too!!!

Cute and comfortable! I have hard to fit feet and often require insoles for arch support. These shoes were wonderful! The only improvement would be a little more padding on ball of the foot.
