Pro: This is a great hat to wear for hiking/photography under strong sun. I wear a wide brim hat for a recent trip to Death Valley National Park and the wide brim hat gave me great protection from the sun. However, the 4 1/2" brim is not good when windy and I have to take it off whenever taking pictures. The brim of this hat is slightly less than 3" which is ideal for my purpose. Easier to carry and very light weight. This is now my go to hat for hiking and gardening. I bought it on sale which is a great value too. Con: The brim is too soft to hold the shape but I can live with it.

Easier to fit in backpack than Goretex version but does not retain shape as much

Great hat and great value. The crown front and back of the hat folds up to expose a mesh that cools even more if needed. Way to go Zappos!

I bought the hat to wear on a trip to Arches and other parks in southern Utah. The broad brim is great for protecting the face, ears and neckk from the hot sun. The hat is also very soft and flexible and can be squished into a small area in my pack just great. Overall a handy addition to my hiking gear. Now I don't have to worry about sunscreen on my ears.

Well, I'm not climbing a mountain or hiking the Appalachian Trail, I'm just gardening in my backyard! This hat is light and cool and keeps the sun off of my face and neck. When it's too hot, a quick spray from the hose cools me off, the hat dries quicklyand remains comfortable.

Bought the hat for a trip to Nepal. Fabric is wonderful, very lightweight and cool. Easy to stuff in a pocket, bag or just hang around the neck. Looked for the perfect hat for a while, bought some other places and returned them. This one is a keeper. So glad I kept looking!

Outdoors for sun protection from the head, face and neck. Comfortably a little floppy. Attached strap is adjustable and effective in high winds.

I purchased this hat to wear to Pickleball, I love it, it's stylish and the quality is excellent. I have received so many compliments.

No lie my head is bigger than most so I have a hard time finding the right hat. I love it! Provides shade all around and it looks great!
