I tried several different sizes, and finally settled on 7s, even though I wear at least an 8 or 8.5 in almost all other shoes. I wore them around the house for a solid 30 minutes while actively picking things up. My foot bed was comfortable, but my left ankle started hurting immediately. Like the side of the boot was just pressing right onto my ankle bone. It took several days for what felt like a bruise to go away. I tried again the following week, but the pain was instant. I occasionally have this same issue with snow, ski, or hiking boots, so it may be that I under pronate, and if high top shoes are too stiff, I'll feel it. I got them mostly for winter/rainy weekends in the mountains, which includes a lot of walking. I'm willing to pay a decent amount, but at this price, I definitely want to be comfier. It's too bad, because they are way cuter than other brands that I compared side by side. The contoured foot is way more flattering than a typically clunky rain boot foot, particularly for larger feet. If you don't have pronation issues or do have narrower feet, these may look great and feel great on you.

Very disappointing purchase. I had great expectations for the boots given the hype for the brand (and the price!). I was shocked how heavy they were when I pulled them out of the box. And when I put them on, they were stiff on the calf and my foot kept shifting forward inside which was extremely uncomfortable on the toes. NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I would not even want them for free. Returned the next day.

I bought these for my daughter and she loves them.

I was nervous about purchasing them without trying them on in advance--but it's getting mucky out there and I needed them immediately. They fit perfectly! I normally wear a size 8.5, so I sized down to an 8 and couldn't be happier.

I’m a first time Zappos customer so I was skeptical about buying these online but once my boots arrived my skepticism turned into excitement. They came packaged so well and are very high quality. Very comfortable and flexible enough at ankle, to get in and out relatively easily. This is not the case in some other styles. That “rim” at the upper back does not hurt my calf. Not too stiff.

Love them. Purchased a size 5 as I know boots usually run bigger than my standard size 6. These are comfortable around my calf and easy to get on and off. They look better on short legs than the tall boot. Highly recommend.

Love the adjustable calf buckle. I can easily slip my feet and jeans into them. I live in the PNW, so it will get a lot of use!

I am so excited to be able to wear these boots! I also have athletic calves like other reviewers I read before purchasing these. They are right, they fit great! I wear an 8 1/2 usually and got a 9, they are slightly loose so I am glad I will be able to accessorize with the sock inserts in the future, no problem! Love these boots <3

Good boot perfect for my gardening.

These arrived during a rare dry spell, so I haven't worn them outside yet, but they felt great out of the box and the footbed/sole appears to be sufficiently sturdy and traction-positive. There's room for socks and/or inserts, which I will probably use since I have problem feet. I like the rear adjustment as it doesn't get in the way or catch on things. We're back to rainy weather today so I will be test driving these babies shortly. I got the pink (and it is a nice shade of pink) mainly because they were WAY less expensive in that color (and apparently, only in that color) - but they are rainboots, not fashion boots , so why not?

I bought mine in a size 10. I don’t need the 10 for the length, but I have wide feet and a high instep and so I always have to size up in shoes, especially boots, or they will not slide over my high instep. I bought the short boots in both the regular boot and the adjustable style, and the adjustable worked for me much better. The regular style boots wouldn’t have had enough give for my hard to fit feet. The adjustable ones are a winner. I originally bought the black boot sock to go with them, but the added thickness would not allow me to slide my foot into the boot whatsoever. The adjustable back allows the boot to open up and with a little coaxing my foot slides into the boot just fine. I have plenty of room in the calf. Even after I adjust the back strap so the boot is a little snug along my calf (so I don’t have a large gap) I can still easily get the boot off and on. I have not tried these on with a medium or thick sock yet, just a nylon footie type sock, so hoping the boot slides on with a different sock as well.

Absolutely love them! The color is lovely. And they fit my wide calves with just enough room to tuck in pants (my calves are a true wide width at a full 18"). I did buy the Hunter liners and they do make the fit almost a bit too tight. But I may still use them in the winter. They are warm.

I have wide feet, high instep and larger than average calves. I was surprised to find these boots quite comfortable and roomy enough for orthotic inserts. I usually look for a 9.5 wide in shoes and ordered these in a 9. They fit just right, feel like they have a sturdy sole, and with my orthotics have the support I need. I also tried a non adjustable calf hunter boot in a 9 and although the top of the boot was still roomy enough for my calves, I found the footbed not quite roomy enough for the orthotics. Plus these are so cute! I hope this helps someone with their purchase.

I have high arches and I usually wear an 8M in street shoes and an 8.5M in sneakers. I think that these fit like the 8.5 I usually purchase in sneakers. Added my arch support and I Love them! These are perfect rain boots and Zappos is outstanding with their customer service.

These boots are so pretty. Color is just like the pictures. Fit is right on. I was skeptical that these boots would be wide enough because sometimes I have to order shoes in wide fit, but these are perfect. I put them on with a slightly thicker sock and they were still comfortable. So happy with my purchase.

Love them! The left one rubs a bit on my ankle bone (with regular socks) but I think it might be because they are new & somewhat stiff. I’m hoping it will be less of an issue the longer I’ve had them.
