These were a half size too short. I held them up to comparable shoes in the same size and the difference was obvious. These were shorter

The insole of the shoe was very hard with little cushion. It did not seem supportive. Just generally uncomfortable though the size seemed correct. To be fair, I have tried several similar style shoes in different brands and none of them have worked for me, so this just may not be a style I can wear.

I was disappointed in these sneakers. After reading all the reviews, I thought they would be so comfortable. But on me, they were not. I kept feeling like there was something in the shoe on the bottom. Maybe its too much arch for me. The style is cute, but unfortunately, I am returning them. The Munro sneakers are much more comfortable, which you can get on Zappos too.

I think these are adorable but they run awfully small. I’m usually an 8.5, preferably a 9 these days (a Euro 40 for sure) and the 9 with these are too short. I did try them on in a store though, and the 9 was fine but I decided to order from Taos for the all black - and they were too small. They’re also very stiff.

I really like the comfort. I’ve worn them about 6 times for very short time. The logo trim on back is coming off which is disappointing.

I'm confused. I'm a 8.5 or a 9 and in recent years I've been ordering more 9 or "40" if I can. I ordered these in 9 and they were way too small and I wasn't going to re-order a 10! I just got back from my local shoe store (which I would like to support time to time) and I tried on a 9 and a 9.5 and the 9 was great. They had a very limited stock of colors and they didn't have what I wanted...so good luck figuring out your size. They have a new Fall style in an adorable boot. Go Vegan shoes!

Really wanted to like these shoes. Ordered 1/2 size up and they still felt too tight. Returned them - afraid if my feet swelled at all while walking they would have been painful.

Was more greenish then khaki and unfortunately slipped out at my right heel.

It looks as though the arch support would be excellent but in an odd way - the arch support takes a lot of room in the shoe. Found the laces not easy to loosen. Nice looking but felt confining, narrow.

Nice looking sneaker with great roomy round toe -- I ordered the W width. The grey color was beautiful. But the arch was too high for me and it was very uncomfortable from the start, so, sadly had to return.

I didn't care for the style of this shoe and ended up returning it. I read the other reviews and order a half size larger, but the shoe was too big. Great arch support but the style wasn't flattering. Felt very boxy on my feet. Given the comfort, I might try a different brand in this style.

Was disappointed in the fit & the level of comfort based on my expectations after reading some of the reviews. I somehow missed the reviews that suggested ordering up a half a size or even a full size which I think would be more comfortable for me.

I had to send these back because they were too short. They were light weight and seemed like they would be comfortable, assuming they fit.

I am going on a trip to Europe and read great reviews about this sneaker for travel. I tend to over-research everything for travel since I try to pack as light as possible. I ordered this shoe in three sizes. I am normally a size 9 in sandals, fashion sneakers and dress shoes, but prefer a 9.5 for running and athletic sneakers. I have a narrow heel, but like having room in the toe box. I ordered a 9W, 9.5M and 9.5W as I read that the shoe is a little narrow. I was so excited pulling the first pair out of the box. They look really trendy, but sturdy and nice. However, I was immediately disappointed because there seemed to be a smell to the shoes. I'm not sure if it is the type of canvas used, or perhaps from the packaging. Sadly, the disappointment continued as I tried on each pair, trying to find the right fit. The 9.5W was too roomy at the heel and laterally, although felt good in the toebox. I could barely get my feet into the 9W shoe, even after loosening the laces. The 9.5 felt good in the heel, but felt narrow and short. So, again, these are beautiful looking shoes and I am disappointed that they did not work for me. Hopefully, they will work better for someone else. Sorry, I can not comment on the comfort, but they probably are good for walking given that the sole seems pretty sturdy. Ugh, back to the drawing board trying to find the perfect fashion walking sneaker.

I really wanted to like this shoe. However, I have chronic foot issues and despite the excellent arch support in the factory-provided insole, I was concerned that I could not wear these for an extended period of time. I tried it with my own insoles, and the toebox was still too tight across the tops of my toes. The other really annoying feature was the lacing. They were so tight-fitting in the grommet holes that it was a major effort just to loosen them enough to put the shoe on. At $80 for a canvas sneaker, I felt I had to return them as they were a real risk as a travel shoe (the purpose for which I purchased them.)

These would be great for someone who liked a lot of arch support, but it was far too much arch support for me. The arch felt too high and to rigid. Shoe also felt a bit stiff, but maybe that would loosen with wear.

Run small.

Cute but so small! I ordered a half size up, but my big toe still bumped up against the end of the shoe. The sole was very narrow, more like a flat, as well, even though I ordered wide.

This item didn’t work for me. I liked the style, but the fit was off.

I got these shoes to wear w my orthotics. If you are hoping to wear them with your orthotics, I wouldn’t spend the money on these. Once you take out their insert, the shoe is as flimsy as a cheap sneaker...so I would buy a cheaper sneaker. It was obvious to me that the cost of the shoe was for their insert, which looks amazing and would probably be great for people that don’t need orthotics. I put my orthotics in the shoe and wore them around the house...they were so stiff, and the shoe bent in such a way that it was really uncomfortable. I sent them back.

I already have several Taos shoes in various styles (sandals and shoes)and was excited to find these Star athletic shoes available in a wide width since I have bunions on both feet. I also have little to no natural padding anymore under my right toes which compounds my fitting dilemma. Though the toe box was generous due to the wide width, there was absolutely no cushioning at the top of the removable insole. I felt as though I was walking on rough, bare floors even though I was wearing cushioned sports socks!

Very cute but too small! These run about a full size smaller than normal. And sadly, the back of the shoe rubbed against my heel and I could tell it would have given me a blister. Returned.

Even the wide isn't wide enough. I needed to loosen the laces to maximum and still be able to tie. These shoes are comfortable initially with good arch support and cushioning. However, after a few hours I was aware of rubbing on my right pinky toe. After prolonged wear the rubbing was quite painful. When I removed the shoes I saw reddening on my pinky toe, bunion top, and even a small blister on my third toe. Normally I would wear thick socks to minimize rubbing but, as I said, the wide isn't all that wide and so doesn't accommodate this. I guess these will not be my goto shoe for vacation walking!

I read reviews before purchasing and was so glad I did. I ordered a half size larger and it was exactly what I needed. I was expecting these to be so comfortable after reading the reviews but they weren’t. I have been having issues with my feet lately and having a difficult time finding shoes that are truly comfortable and was hoping these would be the ones. They aren’t but they were cute so I bought new inserts that have helped.

I wanted to like these shoes -- but have to return them. There is simply no room in the toe box.
