Purchased in August 2015. These are perhaps the best hiking shoes I have ever owned. I have sweaty feet yet had little trouble in these though they are blanketed in GoreTex. In the 4.5 years I owned them I hiked a dozen 14'ers in Colorado in rain, snow (with gaiters), and in sun scrambling up steep terrain. The structure was never compromised. There is plenty of tread remaining. Nothing is fraying. No problems. They finally broke when my friend went snowshoeing and his metal buckle punctured the Salomon's apex and now there is a water breach. That's not the shoe's fault. Had it not been for that, these would have lasted for a few more years. Because of these Salomon's, I am sticking with the company and purchased yesterday a replacement pair; yet this time I need more support for ankle rolling and I bought the X Ultra 3 mid GoreTex in olive.

I have been wearing this exact style of shoe for approximately 10 years. It fits my lifestyle. So much that I always have 2 pair at the same time - my nice pair and my work pair. I used to have planar fascia, but since I started wearing these shoes no more problems.

Have them for about a month and I am really happy with the purchase

I have been wearing this model of Salomon shoes for the past 10 years. Approx. 5 Pairs. They work great for everything I do, hiking, running, mowing the lawn! Light but provide great support. Never had an issue with the lacing system.

I've been using this version for over five years. I really like the stability and comfort this shoe provides while still maintaining the lightweight and agility needed for a trail shoe.

I got these for a trip which included an Antarctic Expedition Cruise, Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls. Waterproof, comfortable and with a brilliant quick lace system they proved to be superb for the whole trip; flights, Antarctic ship decks, Buenos Aires city walks/cycling and Iguazu tropical waterfall heat including a boat trip under the falls!

At the end it was bought also as alternative for light trekking purposes. For both running in hard technical terrains and trekking these shoes serve perfectly. Perfect Contagrip for good adhesiveness on every kind of surface (it was tried in many various occasions). Lacing system is great (QuickLace technology is perfect invention). Gore-tex keeps you dry from the outside and also from the inside (it works well). Regarding to actual state and damage, there is nothing bad to see - everything is still ready to use (one year of using it).

einfach ein Klassiker! GTX bevorzuge ich in den kalten Wintermonaten, Sohlengrip ist selbst auf tiefen Trails tadellos.

I have had the shoes over a month and they are great in the wet grass and slushy snow. Great shoes overall, hopefully they add some new bright colors. Current colors are boring.
