I have several pairs of Johnston and Murphy shoes. Consistency - all of the shoes I have fit me just right. They are consistent in size for me. They fit great! Consistency in comfort. I have a variety of styles of shoes from dress shoes and dress boots to casual dress shoes. They are all comfortable even when worn all day. They are also consistent in style. My dress shoes are classy and stylish and my casual dress shoes are just the right combo of trendy and casual. This is my latest pair of shoes and they are just that, consistent.

I own 35 pairs of J&M shoes. This is the first time I have returned a pair. They looked like they had previously been worn. I was extremely disappointed.

Nice shoe nice price

The McGuffey Plain Toe in Navy fit perfectly true to size and is very comfortable. I was worried about the color as I took them out of the box (they looked gray), but when I got them in to the light they were a deep rich navy color. They go well with lot of colors and look good with jeans, Kahkis, and more dress pants. Very versatile.

Already tearing where the sole meets the upper.

I love these shoes. My new "go-to's". I took them on a recent trip to Mexico City and did a lot of exploring the city while looking better than wearing regular sneakers. These shoes fit great, look great, and feel great.

wore J & M shoes for may years in the 60's and early 70's and always highly satisfied with the entire process. Got away from them in mid 80's as the soft sneaker type shoe became more accepted and also more comfortable. Recently I wanted to go back to a more conventional and dressier shoe. I ordered a pair from J & M only to find total satisfaction and the same high quality as I remember meaning to me that over the years the business model has remained the same and not deteriorated as so many have with outsourcing the product

Shoe is narrow at the toes

I simply love the shoes comfort. I work in a hospital, walking miles a day. I have struggled to find a shoe that combines comfort, support and style. This shoe does it all. Ive been slowly replacing all of my shoes with those from J&M. They are worth the cost.

The toe portion (last 2 of each shoe) was discolored and I had to return them. Disappointing.

I like the style and fit, although there seems to be a small gap near the top of my Achilles. Does not affect feel but just looks like they are a little too big

Leather finish easily blemished. Too difficult to maintain. Would like to return both pairs.

These are great looking shoes and they are comfortable enough to walk a mile in. I like them so much this is my 2nd pair.

These shoes looked beautiful. Sorry they didn't fit me. I have bunions and wear orthotics. Felt way too narrow across the top of my feet.

This is one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I enjoy their comfort and true to size fit. Would make for a great gift for any holidays or birthdays coming up.

The leather, color, laces provide the style and the sole and fit provide the comfort. I ordered a wide and 1/2 size smaller than usual as the standard was too tight on the store.

I had been looking for a shoe thats somewhere between dress shoes and tennis shoes for a while. Something not flashy but nice enough to wear to work and more comfortable and dressed down than typical dress shoes. This ended up being the shoe for me. I sized up half a size and am happy I did. The leather was a little rigid at first but had gotten softer and more mailable as these sorts of shoes do over time. I really like the off white sole so I dont have to worry about keeping the shoe perfectly white. Big fan of the shoes overall, I would highly recommend it.

Didnt feel right. Very slim shoe compared to the other foam padded J&M shoes in this category

Love the look ! Great with jeans when I dont want a dress shoe.
