This was my first time buying "real hiking" pants, before I had just worn old pants until they ripped and were ready to fall off. These are super comfy and have a decent amount of pockets to hold stuff in ( truth be told i would like more pockets) They are long enough for me too which is a sock. I'm 6ft 200 lbs and a 16 long fits me well.

Love how these pants fit. Have tried many other brands and these fit best for my figure and are plenty long enough for my long legs. Will be great for my trip to S. Africa.

I also use these pants for hiking and traveling. Space saver and light weight for travel by plane.

I first purchased a pair of these pants on clearance at an outdoor supply store. After a few times wearing/washing them, the material got very pilly, especially on the seat. I sent them into the north face and they sent me an $80 gift card, which I used to purchase the newest version. I LOVE these pants, and the material has held up amazingly over the past year!! I have definitely gotten my money's worth out of them. I've worn them on every single hiking/outdoor trip I've been on. The material is lightweight but warm, and wicks well if you splash a little water on them. When they do get wet, they dry out really quickly. The shorts are cute and stylish, not the frumpy above the knee length that you see on most similar pants. Buying another pair! Wish they had them in charcoal grey.

I wanted convertible pants with pockets for hiking. M o st brands didn't carry my size,or when legs were zipped off, looked grandma ish. These fit well and hit my legs in just the right spot. I'm 5'3 and 3/4" the short option was perfect. I ordered a second pair.

Great for hiking either cool or warm weather...we should know since we have had everything from heavy wet snow, causing some cooler weather, to days in the lower 80s within the past two weeks here in Colorado. Only gave it 4 stars because they run big . I think if you go a size down , they will still fit a little loose. I may have not selected the correction for the inseam because they are also a little too long.

I got these in the Fig color in a size 6 because I have the Aphrodite 2.0 pants in size M, and another pair of North Face pants I got last year in a size 6 (I don't see those ones on the website anymore). All my North Face leggings are in Medium as well.
I could hardly get these size 6s over my hips! I did get them on and were able to button them but they didn't fit like my other ones and were definitely too tight. I will be exchanging for an 8.
I maybe should have done the "find your size" first. I just did it and it says 47% size 6 and 53% size 8. Although when I have used that before on a different pair of pants it told me size 12 so I don't find it very reliable.
The inside material feels almost a little plasticy, but I think that would break in over time. I still really like the look and feel of these pants, just need them in a larger size.

Love this pant! Have had for 3 years an older style. Has lasted well, time to replace however. Runs larger than my usual however and has only gotten looser with time. Im 5 "4", 110 lbs and have a 2 which is very loose. I have been TRYING to buy a 0 in Fig the new color without success for over 2 months and even spoke to a manager with no success. You guys are not stocking it online, nor can I find in a store. Tried 0 in another color, fits great so surprised to have to go down to a 0 in this pant! My older one has been worn so much it's amazing it's lasted this long! Hope to get a second pair NorthFace, your company is just not making it easy for the customer.

Have this pant from a couple years ago in size 2, normally wear a 3/4. It has loosened up a bit with lots of wear. Went to get a 2nd pair this weekend and size 2 is fairly baggy, especially around waist. Im 110lbs 5"4. I had to go with a size 0 which is two sizes down for me. I LOVE these pants but would defiantly try them on in store or consider going 1 size down. They have been great otherwise and are very durable, just fit on the big side. I wear all the time and have held up better than any hiking pant ive owned in the past!

I bought these pants for our Colorado hiking trip. They are well made, comfortable, and fit good. I might even buy a second pair.

I bought these for an independent trip to Equatorial Africa- the DWR finish is excellent, though the pants are pretty heavy fabric, and not super breathable, especially for being a summer hiking pant (since they turn into shorts). They aren't super stretchy, either, so not as comfortable as some other hiking pants, but the pros are that the heavier weight makes them more abrasion resistant. The color isn't my favorite- but hopefully future seasons will have richer colors.

I love the pants. Very comfortable and stylist. However, the size seems big. I bough size 4 but was big so I returned and reorder for size 2 which fits me perfectly.

Here are the pros and cons for these pants. Pros: the material is very lightweight and were very cool even on a hot day. I really like the zip off pant legs. It was nice to convert the pants to shorts. The zippers are smooth and it was easy to detach and re-attach the pant legs. The cons:
these pants have very small pockets. I could not fit my cell phone in any of the pockets. The zippers on the legs of the pants do rub when the pant legs are attached. Nothing to terrible but it was slightly annoying. The material is noisy but bearable.

Comfortable, flattering, good fit. They are cool in the heat, and slough off dirt really well. Crawling around under a glider in dust and rocks, they protect me, and don't seem to show wear. (The side pocket needs another 3/4 inch length for my phone to fit. Sigh.) The zip-off concept works very well, but I would really like the shorts to be longer. I may buy another pair. But I can just throw these in the wash and they dry quickly even if it's hand wash and hang out.

Love the overall design and multi length options, full length, roll up, zip off shorts. The drawstring waist is not as comfortable or attractive as my old convertible pants that had elastic waistband.

I wanted to try these out for an up & coming trip to the SW US. I had high hopes that these would fit the bill. The fit was a bit off for me (saggy in the rear) and I can't say that I loved the fabric (rough instead of soft). I appreciate the great return policy!

The pants are comfortable and fit true to size. I just wore them on my first 8 hour hike and they make it through burr bushes in tact and completely protected my body. They fit more similar to a men's pant (aren't tight on thigh) so they don't wick the moister away on the legs. I zipped them off to short when I got out to the bush which was super easy. I didn't think to zip the pant legs back on to wash and one of the leg zippers fell off! Luckily my husband fixed them with some pliers.

I got this pant for my 4 day Grand canyon hiking trip it worked out very well comfortable and breathable very light. I used it as shorts when it got warm during day. only issue with this pant is no leg zip we need to take of the shoes to remove the bottom portion of the pants.
