Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
These pants were pretty loud and swishy, which seemed unique out of all the convertable pants I tried. The material seemed nice and durable, but I felt like I was wearing a plastic sack. I don't feel this pant is flattering to hourglass figures or larger hips - it looked a little diapery on me. (My waist is 26" and hips are 38") I am probably going to go with the Columbia Saturday IIs, which were more flattering and had a soft fabric.
I'd also recommend:

Great fit! Ended up having to size down from the recommendation but once I got the right pair it was good. I'm a wildlife biologist and these are perfect for trips into the forest. Well made (zippers are even different colors for each leg so you can match them easily!), breathable, light weight. Obviously not the most stylish but that's not the point. Highly recommend!

I have been wearing these pants 3-4 times a week since I purchased them a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I will be purchasing another pair for my outdoor adventures. I am an avid athlete and outdoors woman and am always in need of the perfect pair of outdoor pants. THESE ARE THEM!!!

I've been trying different convertible pants for a safari trip I am taking. A lot do not come in sizes bigger than size 14 and I am between a 16/18. These fit very well, look nice and are lightweight. The length where the legs zip off is at a great length also. I tried on mens because they come in larger sizes and the length of the shorts portion is too long for me. Happy to have found these. I would have bought another but it looks like they brought on another style.

These pants fit so comfortably. I used the suggested sizing and it was great. They are lightweight and when you zip off the bottom part even better for after the sun starts beating down :)

I got a pair of these last season in the mauve color and they worked so great for hikes that were cold in the morning and warm by afternoon that I bought this second pair. Very nice to have the three options (pants, capris, or shorts).

These are the best pants for thru hiking! I can't express how great they are. It's nearly impossible to find convertibles that zip into actual shorts, rather than mid length shorts. Sorry to say the new version has reverted back to mid length shorts that don't look nearly as good. I washed these in a river and put them straight back on and they dried on me with no chaffing. Wore them for days on end and they stayed comfortable and were super quick to dry. I would say buy these up now, as the new version doesn't use the flash dry technology. Please NF don't discontinue this version it's so hard to find a decent pant for thru hiking. Don't let us down!!!

I am traveling through Europe for 2 weeks and limiting my gear to 1 backpack. Trying to pack as much versatile clothing as possible. These pants are lightweight, comfortable and give me the option of shorts as well.

I bought these for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. Had to exchange to a smaller size, but should be cool & functional. Love the look of them too!

Got these in Buff for a trip to both the Atacama Desert and Patagonia in Chile. They were so comfortable and versitile, I wish I had gotten them in all 3 colors - I wouldn't have needed to pack any other pants! Highly recommend.

I love putting these Paramount pants on in the cool mornings and having the option to convert them into shorts in during exercising or warmer afternoon activities. Perfect fit with chart.

I bought these pants for my first backpacking trip, I was hesitant that I would even need them, but I was so thankful that I did! They fit great, look great, and perform great. They leave room for movement and work well for what I used them for. Will definitely continue to use them for outdoor use, as well as casual use.

This pants is very flexible and you can adjust the length which is suitable for outdoor hiking activities. It is also very stylish and dry out fast.

Wore them on a strenuous backpacking trip hiking up and down rocky and uneven terrain. They were very comfortable and allowed for freedom of movement while not getting stretched out or baggy.

These pants are great for hiking in variable climates and weather. I wore these on a trip thru Yosemite and they were perfect. They also allow plenty of free movement for sport climbing. The capri tie-up feature of the pants is particularly helpful for climbing. I would defiantly recommend these pants for all your adventure needs as they pack down light and are widely versatile.

I found these pants very comfortable, love the color. I followed the form to order and they fit perfect! Even have a inside drawstring if I loose weight.

When I first started backpacking, 11 years ago, I happened to buy a pair of North Face zip off pants. I hadn't done any research so they were purchased because they were the first ones I found. As I used them I fell in love with them and enthusiastically used them every summer for 9 years. Two years ago the zipper broke and I sadly threw them away. A friend handed down to me another brand of zip offs and I used them for a year, grateful for the gift, but enthusiasm was lacking. This year I decided to get another pair of North Face zip offs and I'm delighted to have a pair again. Two things I specifically love are the length of the "shorts" and the colored coded zippers. Being able to order short, average or long lengths is necessary for the right fit, so thank you!
