I recently purchased these running shoes for the 2nd time. I still have my 1st pair -2years old - and they have held up nicely. Those will now be by "everyday" sneakers and I'll use the new one for running. These work great for both trail running & for sidewalk jogging/walking.
Thank you Salomon for creating a running show that fits my feet - wide toebox and narrow heal. They are perfect!
In other brands I previously owned, I had to order 1/2 to 1 size up just to keep my toes from being squished from the sides. Unfortunately that left me with some slippage in the heal. I order my TRUE size in these and am very very pleased.
Regarding the lacing. I like it. It took a little getting used to when I got my 1st pair but now I can't imagine having to put up with tying &re-tying my laces. They stay secure and have held up over time. Absolutely no complaints.

I finally ventured outside of my normal running shoe brand in search of a new trail runners, and am glad I did! These Salomon's are durable, the lace design keeps them tight on my feet without worries of needing to stop and retie, and I feel well supported on the trail. Bonus feature - they seem to dry quickly when used in the mud and rain!

I have a very bad ankle and an orthopedic surgeon told me this would be the best shoe for me. I have 8 pairs and every year they get better. Totally supportive and indestructible. I wear them everywhere.

Picked these up as a low-top alternative to my X Ultra Mids for hiking and backpacking. These have the same roomy toe box and great fit, but come in at a lighter weight and offer a little more agility. Plus I love the navy/teal/purple color combo.

These shoes look great and are incredibly durable but they are very uncomfortable on my feet. If I go a while without wearing them, my feet get very sore after trying them again. They have lasted through many adventures and many trails. Just not very comfortable or supportive.

I loved the look of these shoes but they ran a bit narrow. Also the lacing system was very awkward. I have Adidas golf shoes with a similar system and the release for the laces on those is much better. With the Salomons I was concerned I would break it easily as it was very stiff. Too bad - back they go.

Great looking shoe. Returned b/c felt like there was little cushion and did not like the shoe lace system - in theory should save time, but didn’t like the little pouch that the laces went in & didn’t seem like the ends of the laces were attached to each other well (there is a small rubber protector, but it slides easily, exposing where the laces were attached). I could see how if one didn’t have a high arch, this lace system may be super easy, but I had to open up the laces each time I put the shoe on or took it off.

These shoes are amazing. I had foot surgery two months ago and am finally at the point that I can wear a full shoe. My incision runs up the back of my achilles tendon and because this shoe sits a little bit higher and cups the heel, it does not irritate the area. This could be helpful for those who easily get blisters. The toe box has plenty of space for me and the laces are really convenient. I wear an 8.5 but ordered a 9 for extra room. I really want the red ones now!

These shoes have good arch support and a nice, roomy toe box. The cushioning in the heels was very nice, but it didn't have as much cushioning at the balls of my feet as the other shoes I tried (Hoka One One Arahi and Asics Gel-Flux 4). I wasn't crazy about the laces, either. It seems like they would work their way loose after a while. If you are looking for cute running shoes with a nice, roomy toe box and good arch support, and don't need a ton of cushioning in the toe area, then these would be great for you.

Love these for trail running! They're wider and make my feet feel secure (my ankles won't roll in these) plus they dry quickly after running through creeks and puddles!

This is the first running shoe I have bought from Salomon. Though I've had wonderful winter boots from that company. I like the Salomon X-Mission 3 particularly for cross-terrain running. I think the shoe performs extremely well on sandy trails and gravel. If you only run on asphalt I'd probably go with a different model, because this model's soles provide more traction than I like when running on only asphalt. I also plan to use these for light hiking. And you cannot beat the color and the roomy toe box. I also love the lacing system. I know some people don't like the lacing system so much; so I guess it's a personal preference.

My new go-to workout shoes. The style is fly and the fit is Devine for my painful bunions. I purchased this shoe relying on an article written for athletic people with bunions. Article was correct. Note that the shoe runs really big. I am a true size 8 and had to exchange for a size 7.5. Which fit like a glove. This has never been the case before so do order a half size smaller. Great shoe with excellent support even with the large toe box.

This is my second pair of Salomon's and I'm not even a runner. However, I do walk a lot. I find these X- Mission extremely comfortable. My favorite part of these shoes are the lacing system. I have never had to stop a walk to bend over and retie these shoes. The great colors are a bonus.

These are great for running and hiking. They aren't super cushioned like some running shoes so comfort gets 4 instead of 5. Would recommend for trail running or hiking.

I bought these shoes to wear both running on pavement and gravel and to wear on short day hikes. They're great so far! The only thing was I'm usually a 7.5 but had to exchange for a 7 because I had a good amount of room in the toes. They're super comfortable and I get compliments often!

I absolutely recommend this shoe for trails or city whether you're walking or running. I love the support & are a very sleek/well thought out design. The quick ties are sturdy & I never have to adjust on a run. These are my 1st pair but won't be my last

I really wanted to like these shoes;they were exactly what I was looking for in a travel hiking shoe that was neutral enough to wear with other casual clothes on an extended trip. However the lacing system drove me crazy just wearing them around my house; it was extremely long and not easy to tuck into the pocket. The tongue was very large due to the lace pocket. Also, the lack of the extra eyelet to cinch the heal made them slip and was the final reason for my return.

This is the second pair of these that I've owned and they're perfect for my weekend trail runs on technical, wet, trails covered in leaves. I have narrow heels, wide feet, and tend to roll out (which means a lot of ankle sprains) but I feel very stable in these.

Fit perfectly EXCEPT for the arch area - idk what Solomon did, but the arch area for me is way too over-formed. Very disappointing as Solomon had become my favorite active shoe. I put these on, stood up, instant pressure point on outer most side of arch.... hard to describe... but knew right away the form was not right. i removed the removable insole, no help. I have very high arches and all these decades later of extensive walking and hiking have never needed, or suffered from lack of, special arch support. i purchased solomon hiking boots at the same time as these (x ultra mid 2 gtx) - same problem. Favorite brand - lost. Darn! I hope they reconfigure the arch area.

I absolutely LOVE the Salomon X - Mission 3. This shoe provides great stability and a very comfortable, open toe-box. This is the third pair I have ordered and I hope this brand/style lasts longer than I do. I'm sold on it!!

I usually wear an 8 in running shoes, so I ordered an 8. It was actually too big. This shoe is really roomy in the toes as compared to the old version. Not a lot of cushion.
