Oh my god! I love these shoes to the moon and back! Let me give some context: I have extremely flat arches, so I need to use special insoles to make sure that I dont sprain my ankles. ALthough many trail running shoes claim to give support, when you add in a custom thick insole, that support usually goes out the window. If you can find support, the shoes feel like lead blocks. These shoes fit my insoles perfectly, and fit my feet perfectly with the insoles. Not only that, but they feel feather-light and super-duper comfortable. You know those shoes that you leave by the door to put on in half a second when you need to dash out of the house? These are those. I haven't retied them in months: the cinching mechanism is a bit tough to get right, but once you do, you'll never have to adjust it. I use these shoes for everything: I use them to go hiking, trail running, street/track running, at work, carrying heavy loads, walking around town, walking in rain, running at the gym, and doing weights at the gym (although admittedly there are better shoes for weights training). They even don't look half-bad! I can't stop going on about these shoes!

Awesome shoe. I have the women’s version and my husband noticed a huge difference between my performance on icy trails and streets vs his so he bought himself a pair. Envy cured. They are comfortable and great for winter here in New England.

I’m a Salomon fan, I have 3-5 pairs at all times, it’s ridiculous. These shoes, while comfortable, are a let down. Within the first week of ownership, the speedlace sheath tore rendering the laces useless. I’m sure it’s a fluke, but I’ll never buy these again. SpeedCross 5’s are on the way.

I just purchased the Salomon Speedcross 3 and love it and looking for an additional trail shoe without such aggressive tread as the Speedcross 3. This looks like a good option, but man, could Salomon make any uglier colors for men?

I have wide feet and typically wear an 11 4E, these in 11.5 fit great. They have great grip and one of the few running shoes that doesn't cause any achilles pain for me.

? wear a size US 10 in all my athletic shoes (adidas, asics, merrell), hiking boots (Lowa, Danner), dress shoes. European 44, or sometimes 43. These shoes were labelled US size 10 / European 44. They were a full US size too small for me. My front toe was jammed against the front of the shoe, and it was too narrow. I switched to the size US 11, and even that was a bit on the snug side! But good enough to keep. Arch support, even with insert removed, is more pronounced than I am used to, but acceptable. Shoe is exceptionally well made. Heel cup fits great. The only thing I would add is a finger loop at the heel to pull on the shoe. Not sure what Salomon's deal is with their sizing - I had the same with other Salomon models, and I even measured my foot according to their website and their sizing chart said Men's size US 10 was supposed to be my size.

I like the shoes a lot. Wore them for a full day and they never felt like I was breaking them in. The fit was great and so far no pain in my feet. Highly recommend these shoes. I will say the color looks a little different in person than in the picture. Beyond that no issues.

Best pair of shoes I’ve owned from Salomon.

I'll never buy anything but a Salomon shoe again. This is my second pair, mostly for working on my feet all day on concrete. The first pair took me on a section hike of the AT and performed wonderfully.
