These shoes are the non "old lady" shoes you're looking for. This shoe is comfy, and has lots of heel cushion. It's super cute, and trendy. The cons for me: I have super high arches, so I had to add extra arch support. Shoes are fine now. The tongues are a bit harsh on the foot, but as someone else suggested, I just folded it down, and now it's no problem. Also, the shoe strings do not stay tied unless you double knot them. They're very slick. But the good outweighs the bad, though.

I tried 1 of each of these: Merrell, Ecco, Puma, Kuru, Mephisto, Cushe, and Ryka. This Vionic style, by far, offered the best arch support, style, and comfort. I found the sizing to be perfect for me, roomy yet not sloppy/floppy. Zero break-in time, wore them the first day for over 9 hours and no blisters/rubbing/sore spots.

I am a huge fan of Vionic! They are only one of two brands of shoes that I wear after having chronic foot pain for over 15 years. These sneakers are surprisingly really cute but I ended up returning them for the Tourney because the tongue just would not stay in place and the top part of the back of the shoe would fold down when I put them on. They were really comfortable, though!

I am happy with this very recent purchase. I ordered these and the Vionic Action Emerald and I found the Vionic Fyn much more comfortable (returning the Action Emerald). I also own a pair of Vionic house slippers that are fabulously comfortable and provide great support. Thank you Zappos and Vionic.

After a big ankle surgery, it has been difficult to find sneakers that fit and that are comfortable. Also, my custom-made orthotics made my old pair of sneakers too tight. I removed the insoles of these shoes and put in my own custom-made orthotics and the shoes fit really well. I agree with other customers who say the tongue of the shoe is too stiff, but it's not a deal breaker. I fold mine in and I don't even notice it anymore. I bet you could also just cut a little of the tongue. It kind of feels like neoprene so I don't think it would even be visually noticeable if you cut it. Also, these aren't your typical "granny" orthotic shoes. They look like regular trendy sneakers.

These shoes are allowing me to take my first pain free steps in weeks. I have recently developed plantar fasciitis and these shoes are bringing welcome relief from the moment I step into them. Having previously worn orthotics, the high arch support is perfect for me but some people who are not used to such support may have to break them in a bit. I took off one star for the pink laces which are an annoyance of color in what could be subtle shoes but overall they are a lifesaver in the comfort department.

I love these shoes. So comfortable. I have problem feet and Vionic has been a lifesaver. These look sharper than most athletic shoes, have good support and I can wear all day.

I ordered 5 pair of well known walking shoes and much to my surprise, these are the ones that felt the best. I didn't even try them on at a retail store. I am sold on these Vionic shoes.

Love that Vionic is making some cute styles of athletic shoes. I am deciding between these and the Action Tourney. I'm probably going to go with the Action Tourney, because it fits my foot better. The Fyn has a wider toe box (got the medium width in both) and I don't need quite that much room. But, the real clincher is that the Fyn comes up on my ankle a bit too high -- right near my ankle bone. I like that the Action Tourney fits lower on my ankle. I saw several comments about the tongue being too hard. Vionic has heard your complaint, and that issue has DEFINITELY been resolved. The tongue is very soft -- really just a piece of fabric. No worries there for anyone that is concerned about ordering these shoes. If you are looking at the Vionic athletic shoes, I would definitely include these in your order. Right out of the box, they were initially my fave.

These tennis shoes saved me over college move-in weekend. I am not an athlete and I do not typically wear tennis shoes...except in theme-parks perhaps. I threw these into my suitcase as a just-in-case because my plantar fasciitis had been flaring up and its a good thing I did! My right foot has suddenly decided that wearing any type of thong flip-flop results in excruciating pain up the back of my heel, even my beloved Vionics. This Fyn style is lightweight, comfortable and kept me pain free for hours of cleaning, hauling, shopping, moving furniture and airport terminal hiking. I highly recommend these!

This is a great shoe! It is a fun style that can be matched with most of my clothing without it looking like a boring tennis shoe. Most importantly, Vionic shoes feel good on my feet. I have a bunion and these shoes do not irritate my sensitive foot. I have worn them for a couple of months and my feet are happy. I do agree the shoelaces are slippery and the tongue of the shoes are floppy at the top. Neither of these things are big deals. I am a foot happy customer!

I purchased these in both regular and wide widths as my foot borders on being wide. The wide shoes are being returned. They have just a little too much room. Funny thing, the wides have the new, softer tongue while the regular ones have the stiffer tongue. I actually prefer the stiffer tongue. The shoe seems to have more over-all support. Much cuter in person than the picture, and they have all the things you expect from Vionic. They do need a bit of break-in time.

This is a great tennis shoe! I recently had bunion surgery and I have had a very hard time finding shoes that won't put too much pressure on the area where my surgery is. I've got wide feet and have not owned an orthotic shoe like this before. I love them. They fit well and I love that they are very flexible.

I wear these with custom inserts because I have high arches. This is my second pair, and were recommended by my podiatrist. They are comfortable, and breathe well. My only complaint is that the shoelaces are very slippery and I have to double knot them, and even then, they sometimes come undone.

Great sneaks! PF people rejoice! These sneakers are comfy, didn't need breaking in and look cool. I could walk for miles without limping. The only con is the big Vionic on the back of the shoe, not necessary for those of us non-logo peeps.

The good is that they are Vionics - they will align you up like no other. They're not cushy, but they are super comfy because everything is where it should be. Since I'm on my feet all day, I really appreciate that. They are a little more stylish than orthopedic shoes usually are. The tongue is a little on the odd side. I don't know why the added the neoprene part at all, but it does kind of dig into the top of the foot and I have to lace them a little looser over that part. Which makes it look a little stranger. Overall, I recommend them highly.

Shoe was too small. I've worn this brand before and have been very happy with the arch support and style. Never ordered the sneakers before.

I found this brand after searching for shoes with built-in orthotic support. With my low arches and a new job that kept me walking about 12,000 steps per shift my nike crosstrainers with added dr scholls arch supports weren't cutting it. What a huge difference these made! My feet still hurt after work but at least I know they're getting proper support.

I love, love , love this shoe. Great for plantar fasciitis condition. They look much better than my other "plantar" shoes: neater lines. Very comfy; true fit.

This shoe is so cute, but the arch support is in a weird place! It is too far to the back of the shoe. I have eight pairs of the Vionic Tide II, and the arch in those is in a much better spot.

I love these shoes! After reading previous reviews before purchasing these, I was not sure I'd keep them. My other Vionic sneaks are a wide, and these only come in medium width. But the fit is perfect, and I can wear them on the go all day and my feet don't get tired, as they do with my other Vionic sneaks. I love these shoes and hope Vionic continues to make them forever!

I am a big fan on Vionic (and Orthaheel before them) and own many pairs of their shoes. I was super excited to see these offered, and have been wearing them almost constantly since they arrived. The only negative I found is that the tongues of the sneaker are pretty stiff, and dug into my ankle on one foot. I've since folded it and it's ok.

I love the shoes. I am a first time Zappos customer and I was very pleased with free delivery and free return, if necessary. These are the most comfortable shoes that I have worn in a long time. I will order others in other colors.
