I own an old pair of these shoes and I love them. It was time for a new pair, so I ordered both a 6 and a 7. (I am normally a 7). The straps on the 7 were WAY too big, I was swimming in them. The footbed on the 6 was too small, my heels and toes were hanging over the edge. I had to send both back. Half sizes needed! Or tighten up the straps on the 7!

I have two older pairs of the Merrell Terran Lattice. One pair bought two years ago. the other last summer. Great support with them but this pair was without support, couldn't feel the arch support at all.

I think the biggest bummer on these shoes is knowing what they could have been. Great concept: strappy sandals with a contoured, somewhat supportive footbed and an outsole made for real conditions. Something that looks cute but is realistic for walking a couple of miles. I will start with the good: they are comfortable out of the box and with lots of adjustability, fit my wide meat-feet generously. They are lightweight and I particularly liked the berry color. I also liked that the plastic and outdoorsiness were kept minimal. You are not going to pass these off as dress wear, but neither do they scream "sporty." Now to the missed opportunities: the outsole is just EVA, which is unsupportively flexible in the forefoot. Had they considered some of the rigidity of the midfoot forward, the shoe would have offered more protection against cobblestones and such. As it is, it is not substantial enough for long walks (in my opinion - I do not try to walk long distances in dress shoes although I know many urban dwellers do!). Second missed opportunity: the microfiber footbed. Why not make it leather suede, which would smell better over time? While I like the security of an ankle strap here, these puppies may lose out to a supportive pair of OluKai flips or Birkenstocks - I just want more support on my collapsed arches. Bottom line: the sporty look does not really stand up to sporty living: walking/biking around, urban travel without renting a car, the odd walk on the rec path. If you want that and can hack the sportier look, go for Chaco instead.

Like the style, but the taupe color is awful after you wear them a couple of times! They get dirty looking very fast!
I wish they had them in brown leather.
I wouldn't buy them again.

Not meant for someone with moderately high instep. Top of foot strap would barely go over. Can't imagine what would happen when my feet swell.

I thought these would be a great alternative to my closed toe Keens. The footbed was soft, but not supportive enough. In my test walk of them, they hurt my left calf. Also, that dang buckle closure is challenging! It’s so tiny and difficult to open and close. I decided to go for the more supportive Teva Terra Fi 5 sport.

The straps were too loose. I wear a size 5 and if I could have adjusted the straps would have loved these.

I could not tighten the laces enough for the sandal to fit securely on my foot. The laces were too loose and I do not have a narrow foot. I had to return.

Do not order these sandals if you have narrow ankles. I have bought these exact sandals before twice and not had a problem. In fact I wore them out as they were my "go to" sandals. But these cannot be tightened if your feet are a little narrow without running out of strap. Also the strap that fastens the sandal was too loose across the foot and could not be tightened. Too bad. I was very disappointed!

My feet are hard to fit and I never know exactly which size will work, even in the same brand. Zappos recommended that I purchase the size 5, but the current Merrells I own (not sandals) are a size 6 and are close to being small. I bought the 6 but it was very big on me. Maybe the 5 would have been better, but I didn't like these enough to do an exchange. I loved the way they looked in the photos, but the supports around the ankle and the whole shoe were much heavier/clunkier looking than in the pix.

I bought these sandals in 2016, but as they are black , and that doesn't seem to be available, they may have been older stock. They have received moderate use.
The upper straps are wearing quite well but they seem to have stretched so I cannot ensure a firm hold any longer. The soles are in excellent condition.
The weakest point is the inner sole fabric. A hole appeared where the ball of the foot rests within weeks and I had to buy a sticker pad to make them wearable. The edges are also fraying as though I had scraped them against something rough and hard-and I haven't .
Very disappointing.

I'm returning these because the straps are not as adjustable as they look. The velcro needs to be pulled too tight for my feet, and overall they are just a bit too loose. This is the size and brand I've had before, but this style doesn't work.

I loved the color and style!! The foot bed was super comfortable!
Unfortunately, I have narrow feet and I could not get the straps tight enough. So, I needed to send them back....thank you Zappos for making returns so easy!!

These sandals didn't work at all for my fickle feet--each one of the many straps hit a tender spot on my arthritic toe joints. Very painful for me.

I bought a pair of these but didn't get much wear before one of the back straps velcro would no longer hold. I may try to take them to a shoe repair place because I do like them. I just don't feel that they should fail this way for the price.

The instep is too low for my high-arches, so I had to send it back. I should have thought about that more carefully before ordering, because they're adorable!

Size was a little off. Wide shoe. Color was nice, I'm going to try the similar sandal with a different design. Love Merrell, this one was not what was expected.

There are a couple of things that I don't like about this shoe. 1. The fit - the toe strap is too large, my toe slips. The ankle strap should be able to be tighter. 2. The top strap has a rough edge that will not wear down.
I wish I would have returned these shoes.

I have ALWAYS loved Merrell sandals and have gotten this model in an earlier version. Loved that one, but this one felt flat from the beginning whereas my older ones were cushier, and it didn't fit the same as the previous ones either. Wish the quality was similar, but it seems like they are going downhill.

I hemmed and hawed for hours about buying. I ended up buying them for a two week trip to Costa Rica. Although they were comfortable, after a week of wearing them, the velcro stopped sticking, and every couple minutes I would have to stop and re-stick them. They left gross black marks on my feat, as well. The cloth on the sole does not hold up at all, especially near the toe. I was only walking around in these. Some days it was rainy. I was not doing anything especially difficult for them to handle, yet in less than two weeks they started falling apart. I would not recommend purchasing if you plan on walking in them extensively or if there is a chance they will get wet. Unlike other Merrell products, these are DEFINITELY not acceptable for day hiking, backpacking, or camping.

They are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. Unfortunately they started to fall apart just weeks after I purchased them. The Velcro on the straps and the lining on the sole wore out in just couple of months.

These shoes feel comfortable at first but do not offer much support. They are very flat and thin soles. I thought the multiple Velcro straps would be helpful for adjusting support but didn't perform. I wore them once on a short, flat walk on a trail and they were ok, but couldn't wear for an all day active day outdoors. Wanted something to transition from kayaking to hiking and couldn't even get from the lake to the car through the sand without the Velcro straps coming undone multiple times. Way too expensive for the quality. I'm very disappointed.

These were my favourite "go too" sandals. My first pair, used almost daily, lasted very well and were so comfortable, that I purchased a second pair when the first wore out. On both my second and third pairs I wore through the leather sole covering and had to quit wearing, as the rough edges would cause blisters.
Even though these sandals are my most comfortable. I likely will not purchase again until after the thin sole material is replaced with something more durable.

After 3 months. I just wear it honestly for 3 times from the day i bought it then it happen. When I was in grocery I was embarassed the right side of the sandal just came off. The good thing is I'm just 7 mins away from grocery to my apartment. I can show a picture but I cant upload it in review. Bad experience for me. :(
