I purchased these shoes after reading tons of fantastic reviews. The shoes overall are comfortable and cute. However, I have only had these shoes for three months and decorative pattern has started peeling off and the sole is starting to separate from the shoe at the toe. The lifespan of these shoes nowhere near meets the price.

It is extremely difficult for me to find shoes that are comfortable after having had 3 surgeries for neuroma problems. I had hoped these shoes would work, as the reviews are overwhelmingly positive, but I did not find that they have enough padding under the metatarsals. I am returning them as I experienced the neuroma pain rather quickly upon wearing them. Sounds like they work well for other people, though, so I am probably just in a rather difficult group to fit.

I have narrow feet, and suffer from plantar fascitis. I wanted to love these shoes, as people had said such good things. I even tried switching out the insole for something different. In the end these shoes caused pain in my ankles and didn't feel particularly supportive. Returned!

These look so perfect but are too small in the toe box. They also slant toward the toe adding pressure to the forefoot. Returning these.

I love Merrell's. This would have been my 4th pair. Unfortunately, I am returning these because they are the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn. I wear a 10.5 M but purchased an 11 based on prior Merrell shoes. My toes nearly reach the end. The toe box is cramped and curves slightly upward. The rear of the sole is also slightly curved, making the shoe feel unstable. This shoe is marked as a M but definitely feels narrower. The sides of my feet hung over the outside of the shoe, causing the fabric to pull against my foot like a vice. I managed to walk 20 feet before the arch of my right foot cramped so badly that I had to take the shoes off. While these shoes did not work for me, I can say that the quality and style is in line with what I expect from Merrell. I will continue shopping their products, but this shoe is an absolute failure for me.

Have worn Merrill trail shoes for an umber of years and this one caught my eye as being a bit more stylish so I ordered it. Was a little disappointed in the materials used, seemed a bit flimsy. The shoe also ran large and wide. Ended up purchasing the Salomon speed cross 3 this time.

I had to send my first pair back and order a half size smaller. Frustrating that sizing isn't standardized. I like the fit of my reordered pair.

Love the look of the shoes and the feel of it. Unfortunately due to my odd shaped feet the shoes did not fit me. At the size I ordered it seemed smaller than it should be. I had to return the pair.

I tried both the waterproof version and the regular version and have to return both. I have problem feet, prone to plantar faciitis and arches flattening with age. I was bothered by the attachment of the lacing system to the top of the shoe. The plastic lace holders rubbed against the top of my foot, so much so that they were uncomfortable. Also, it seemed like the plastic on the body of the shoe was insubstantial and prone to peeling, although I did not wear them anywhere but in the house for an hour. I thought it might just be an anomaly, but it wasn't and back they go.

Sadly, these shoes are going back today. I threw my old pair away last week after two years. This pair is just different. The toe box seems more pointed and narrow. I might be able to wear them if I go a half size up, but I think I will look for something else instead.

Not like any Merrell I have ever owned. Small, tight, and not comfortable. Sent them back. Zappos was great to work with and got refund in a timely manner.

Style and fit were good, but there is no support or cushion whatsoever. The bottom of my feet hurt immediately. Felt like I put on an old pair of used tennis shoes that set in my closet for 20 years. Was so dissapointed as the reviews are all so glowing. Back to my search.

Usually wear 8.5-9, ordered a 9, hurt my feet immediately when I put them on. To be fair, I have large bunions on both feet, but I used to be able to wear Merrells regularly. They were cute though.

The shoe was great - for about 2 months. Then the thin plastic-y material glued onto the mesh started to crack and peel off. Within 3 months, the shoes looked like a rat had chewed on them. They look a mess. VERY disappointed in the shoddy quality of the materials.

My shoes wore out after only 2 months! I worked out in these almost every day. That said, I did not expect the cloth material in the upper part of the shoe to wear out this quickly. This isn’t normal for Merrill quality.

Returned these because they seemed cheaply made--glued seams rather than the stitched ones on my old favorite Merrell walking shoes. Am still looking for a well-made, lightweight replacement...

Loved the shoe, first time out of the box hiking was great! No blisters and very comfortable. However after wearing them only twice I notice the stitching is separating from the sole. I did go up a half size from my normal shoe which works perfect. Love the shoe but for the price they should be more durable. Not sure if I just got a bad shoe or if this is a recurring theme. I plan to return these.

I purchased these while on vacation in CA, looking for a good trail running shoe. I've purchased Merrells before and have been very happy with them. These appeared to fit well in the store. I was excited because they were light-weight, but after running in them while on vacation, my feet and shins hurt terribly. Not enough cushion and support for hard trail running. I think this style might work well as a walking shoe, or for someone working on their feet all day, but definitely not a running shoe. I will be returning these for another pair of Moab's. They are heavier, but they get the job done.

They look cute, but they smell bad, a very strong chemical smell, probably from the dyes used. They seem cheap, and are not as comfortable as I would expect from the Merrell brand.

I ordered these because they looked a lot like my pair of original Sirens which I literally wore out and had to throw away. The original Sirens fit like a glove, had a sleek profile, and a great contoured insole that was cushy enough to be comfortable and supportive. I was disappointed to find that the new Siren Edge 1) has a much wider toe box, making them clunky-looking; 2) feels a full half-size larger than marked; 3) has a very cheap look and feel -- thin materials, plastic cut-outs are glued onto the shoe where there used to be suede-like panels SEWED into the shoe; 4) and the worst part is that the insole is thin and hard as a rock, providing no contour or cushion under the ball of the foot. I will be returning these shoes for a refund, as the reason I bought Merrell shoes in the first place was because I have foot problems and am very picky about shoes. I don't know why Merrell had to discontinue such a fabulous shoe as the original Siren. It seems all the new models are crap, in one way or another.

I returned these shoes because there was an uncomfortable ridge that ran under the arch of my foot and they had a very hard foot-bed. Normally Merrell’s are my favorite shoes but this model was a torture chamber.

The toe bed is highly uncomfortable. The insole is 1/8 inch with no cushioning. Every rock is felt thru the shoe as the sole of the shoe is also not protective to the foot.
