Super cute shoe. Nice and light and sleek but felt too narrow and I could tell after a long hike my get may not be happy. Unless it has a break in period. I’m going to have to return them.

Surprised that people think these are so great. The insole feels like it's made out out of cardboard. Walking in these shoes is like walking on a cardboard box. Hard and uncomfortable. Yes, they are pretty.

I have ordered Siren Edge before & it fit fine. This shoe was small all over—very disappointing after my original order was sent in wrong color & 2 sizes too small. I need to return these these shoes & get a half size larger in same color aluminum.

Love the fit and feel of these shoes. Have worn Merrells for many years. They always fit like they were made just for me! My only concern is that the surface color around the toe area seems to be fading or something. What was gray is turning black after just four wearings. No idea why.

The fit on these was fine, and they are super supportive and comfortable. My only complaint is that after nearly a year, they are still squeaking as if I am walking around in plastic. More than just a little annoying, I am actually giving them away and looking for new shoes. I have owned several pairs of Merrell shoes, first ones I really ended up not loving.

Very pretty shoe, nice tread great for anything. BUT the original insoles are not comfortable, if you add insoles that are comfortable they will not leave no room for your feet. I also noticed they are squeaky as you walk and its coming from your feet moving in the shoe not when the floor or bottoms of your shoes squeaking on the floor as you walk. Would I recommend, NO. I bought these because I love the trail walking shoes which I wear for trucking. Like I mentioned, the original insoles are not comfortable so I always add Dr Insoles Women's Work Insoles in all my shoes and pull out the originals. This works in the trail hiking shoes but not able to work in this shoe above or you will have to choose a thinner insole.

These were pretty disappointing. As far as hiking shoes go, they look nice. And they feel like they would be really sturdy and provide good traction. But they've got no arch support and my heel slips up and down in them.

This would've been awesome, but there were no extra lacing holes/grommets so I could lace it up well. My heal kept slipping out and it was just not worth it. I don't think it's too much to ask for an extra lace hole, just one. At least it had good laces and wasn't in horrible colors like most trail shoes.

The shoes fit my narrow feet well, but I did not like the style. The vinyl detailing looks cheap and I was concerned it would start to peel off after a short time.

On the fence with these... Love the narrow style--not clunky at all, and good support along sides of shoes for trail climbing. Length is good in my normal size. But the arch support is in the wrong place for me...too far back. Half size larger gives my toes some wiggle room with thick hiking socks. Definitely the best hiking shoe I've tried on for under $100.

I bought these Merrill Siren Edge in the grey color. Love how they look, love how they feel. However, I bought them for my Europe trip where I did a lot of hiking on mountains and unfortunately they did not hold up. The toe started to pull away from bottom of shoe and the stripes on the sides peeled off. : ( Very disappointed as I love them otherwise. The store I bought them at returned them for me. I bought a new pair of the same, only I will use them for walking and "light" hiking!

Cute shoe but didn't work for my feet; I have PF. Looking to replace another pair of Merrell's that I've had for several years but it won't be these. Even if these had been a perfect fit, I would have had to return because you sent to me with a prominent stain on the top toe area of the right shoe. So either someone had these before me & stained the shoe or they have a manufacturer's defect.

Size was fine. The shoe felt hard under the ball of my foot and after having it on for about half an hour the little toe on the right was rubbing on the material. I would not be comfortable hiking in these.

These shoes are cute! But. I can feel the lugs in the sole, even when I'm wearing socks with padding (SmartWool). I'm going to try them with an insole from a different pair of Merrells (Jungle Moc) that has a removable EVA insole. If I hadn't worn them several times (because I could NOT BELIEVE what my feet were telling me), I would return them. The lugs might not bother younger people, whose feet are likely to have more fat on the soles of their feet. (Really. It's a fact: you lose fat from your feet as you age.)

I have had 2 pairs of Merrell Siren Edge Waterproof sneakers and love love love them. I wear size 7-7.5M depending on manufacturer. I wear size 8 in the waterproof sneaker and my feet are comfortable all day. My only complaint is that I would like to have more varieties of color. I ordered the Siren edge in Astral Aura and they are very stylish and I love the color but don't think they are as comfortable as the waterproof version. They don't seem to have as much support and my feet start aching after about 4 hours. I've had many compliments on the color and style, but for me, I'd much rather go for all day comfort. I will wear them as my go-to short term sneaker and stick to the siren sport waterproof for my all day walk/work/hike shoe.

I am returning these hiking shoes because they much too insubstantial for the Rocky Mountains. I was surprised after all the rave reviews.

This shoe fit great, and it didn't seem like it would need any breaking in. It was also lightweight, and a great color (black/purple). In sneaker-type shoes, I wear a half size larger than my regular size, and this was no exception. I normally wear a size 8, but the size 8.5 in this shoe fit wonderfully. I don't think I'll keep them, however. For the price, they don't seem as well-made as other Merrell's. The outside reflector trim looks like it can come off or get scratched off rather easily. There is absolutely no cushion on the inside. And the worst part- I couldn't get rid of the strong chemical smell coming from the shoes. Too bad, because they were a good fit- good for regular to wide feet, because they are roomier than most on the inside.
