I typically run is Saucony's (Triumph ISO 2's) but am not thrilled with the styling. I tried these on a whim and have to say they are comparable but more up to date in looks. I like a wider toe box and a narrow heel. Fortunately, these fit the bill for that. The heel does come up higher on the back of my foot--kind of cradles my achilles. I was nervous about it bothering my tendon (have had trouble in the past) but so far, so good. It comes up high but is very cushioned. On my first run, the ball of my foot did go numb after 1 mile. But on subsequent runs, loosening the shoelaces across the ball of my foot eliminated that problem. Only time will tell for sure, but so far I'm pleased with these sneakers. Thanks zappos!

Asics always run a tad small, but these are otherwise great shoes. They last a lot more miles than many other brands, and this has really good neutral fit.

I've worn the Gel Nimbus shoes for a few years now. These are not as cushioned as previous versions, but they are still good and sturdy. I was concerned about knee and heel pain, but that has not been an issue.

Excellent shoe, but it felt very slightly short and narrow-by perhaps 1/4 to 1/2 size.

Normally wear a 9 in any shoe, but ordered a 9.5W after reading several reviews. So glad I sized up a half-size as suggested and went with the wider size! Wonderfully cushioned, which I prefer on a run. Beautiful, bright colors--I got the turquoise/iris ones!

Very cushioned shoe with moderate arch. True to size. Moderate lateral support. Good for running and cross training.

This shoe is very comfortable. Lots of cushion,toe and heel. I'm on my feet all day long everyday 8 1/2 hrs. These work well. The only complaint is they run narrow. My foot is not wide and I have to get a wide in these ones. Last pair was the Kayano light show (loved them),but they don't have much to choose from in that shoe. Zappos service was great!

I have always enjoyed running in the Gel Nimbus line. I find it to be one of the most comfortable shoes, next to the Saucony Iso2 triumph. They can get pretty pricey but they are worth every cent. Make sure to get a full size larger - I get a full size and a half larger. This is a neutral running shoe. If you want something more cushioned, I would go with the Gel Kayano; however, keep in mind that the Kayano is more bulky. This is my fifth pair of Gel Nimbus shoes so you can say that I am pretty happy with the style. The toe box of this version is more narrow compared to the Gel Nimbus 17. However, it is not something that personally bothers me.

I love these shoes! I recently purchased some Ryka shoes, and while I like them for other types of exercise they were not comfortable for walking. These Asics are so comfortable, they have great support and stability. They have a lot more cushion, my feet no longer feel like they're slapping the pavement. And the color (I purchased the turquoise) are so bright and pretty!

I liked the fit of these, felt very cushiony and could really feel the support when running in these.

I wear a narrow size and the shoe was too wige for my foot. seemed to run a bit shorter than other Asics I have tried. Did like the color though, not as gaudy as some

I run marathons and slightly underpronate. This shoe provides EXCELLENT stability, cushioning, and comfort for miles. My go-to running shoe is the ASICS gel nimbus.

I am on my 6th pair of Asics Gel-Nimbus sneakers. I purchased my first pair after I broke my foot and was just ready to start exercising again. When I came out of my boot cast I was still really nervous about injuring my foot again. I put on a pair new Nike's that I had purchased right before I broke my foot. I put them on and walked around and they had absolutely no support. There was no way I was wearing them to run or exercise. I went shopped around and tried on at least 30 pairs of sneakers of different styles and price ranges. When I first put this sneaker on I knew they were the right ones for me. They offer full support for your entire foot. Moving around they keep your foot securely in place and to me they feel like your foot is resting on a cloud. The reason I took the time to write this review is because I just happily received my Gel Nimbus 18's and OMG. If it is even possible they have made them even more comfortable. The photos of the sneakers don't do them justice. The style is by far the sharpest pair I have owned. Asics has done some minor modifications to the design that makes them much cooler than the earlier versions. I have only been wearing them for a week and receive compliments every time I wear them. I highly recommend these sneakers!!!

Like this shoe very much, put them on and did not take them off for 6-7 hrs so comfortable. Love the colors too, gotten many compliments on the color pattern.

First of all, I am a true blue Asics customer. I have worn the gel-cumulus, the gel- kayano, and now the gel-nimbus. These are by far, my favorite followed by the gel-kayano. At first, when I put them on, I thought "meh", but when I proceeded to my 4 mile run, they were actually heavenly. Don't let first try discourage you--give these gems a chance. They had been expensive (yet well-worth it) but I was lucky to find a deal here on Zappos.com.

Love these shoes! Great fit, comfortable, true to size. The colors are cheery and they also have good reflection.

I'm a big ASICS fan, and I purchased these ASICS Gel Nimbus 18s to replace my Gel Landreths, which were discontinued a while back. I LOVE these Nimbus 18s. Absolutely no complaints at all. Very cushy and responsive; perform very well straight out of the box. And the turquoise ones are gorgeous to look at as well! The only thing you need to keep in mind is the sizing--In regular shoes, I normally wear an 8 wide or an 8.5 medium. I sized up to a 9 and made sure I was getting a wide. The 9 Wides are a perfect fit. My advice is to size up a whole number size, and if your foot is even a little wide, then purchase the wides and not the mediums. I have a high instep, high arch, and my foot is significantly wide at the ball of the foot behind my toes.

This Gel-Nimbus 18 fits very well and is super comfortable. I usually wear a 12 in other shoes but for sneakers I need a 13. The other styles I ordered this time actually felt smaller than usual and this was the only one that fit me properly. I have only been able to wear Asics for the past 9 years.

I just bought Nimbus 17 and now this Nimbus 18. This 18 felt slightly less cushioned in comparison to the 17 and shorter and narrower. My feet/toes were in pain after walking. I bought size 8.5 Medium in both shoes which is my usual size. I have so far invested in the Nimbus 15, (16's were awful with little cushioning) 17 and 18. 15 is still my favorite for the wider toe box.
