Uncomfortable and cheaply made.
These shoes were terribly uncomfortable for the first couple of days until they were broken in. Now they're not great, but they're wearable. Or, they would be if not for the fact that - after less than 2 months of normal use - the soles are already separating from the body of the shoe. My last pair of New Balance shoes held up well for years, but these are just garbage.

As far as I can tell, this shoe is a replacement for MX608V40, which was a great shoe. This model however, is awful. The sole is completely different. The cushioning and the support is a cheap imitation of the previous model.

Have been buying New Balance for many years, 623 has been my favorite. As no one carries 2E in all of Ann Arbor, MI. I decided to try getting them online!
(not a fan, prefer to touch and feel at a store) they arrive and I take my time to try them ( as I am sure they will be just like the ones I am wearing... surprise They felt good for the first two hours asI wore them around the house, took them off and went to work in my old ones. A few days pass and off to work knowing that the new shoes will be just like the old ones. An hour later I was calling a roommate to please bring my old shoes to me!
The soles feel much lighter/thinner causing the ball and heal of both feet to hurt, the seam at the big toe (left foot only) rubbed a sore spot. As I have worn the shoes out of the house I am sure I won't be able to return them. But I am more disappointed in the quality and comfort of the shoe. Now I have to start over looking for a quality shoe and I have tried many other brands with no luck!

I have a pair that fits perfectly. I ordered a duplicate pair which is too tight.I have bunions which makes tight shoe painful.

This shoe is the MX623LT3...not the 623v3. It's also NOT leather (maybe the camo ones are, but not the brown). The brown ones I received are fake "leather" (polyester). Size is also 1/2 larger than most other brands. New Balance needs to get their act together...as it is, I won't be buying from this mess of a company any more.

I would have thought the "LT" in the model number MX623LT3 meant leather. The shoes I received are not leather, but a very convincing forgery. Of course they're "water resistant"...they're plastic!

This shoe used to be great, I've gotten it many times. But this last time I got it the shoe didn't last more than 3 months. I can usually use shoes for 9+ months.
