Loved the review that called these geriatric! I bought these for my 22 year old son, who works at a grocery store and has to have all-black shoes that look as though they could be polished -- in other words not made of cloth fabric. These fit the bill and they are really comfortable. I asked if the other young people had made fun of him and he said: What, are you nuts? These are inexpensive athletic shoes, and as such they are really great.

Perfect fit, great comfort. Good walking shoes. There's no shame in wanting to look good at 82! Oh, and no squeaks or squishes either.

These shoes were comfortable the first time I put them on.

What are yourt expectations for a comfortable walking shoe? I previously had Adias but was encouraged to try New Balance. These are the ones. Stylish, comfortable and a joy to wear.

These shoes are really great my previous pair were eaten by my dog he has a bigger shoe fetish than me these shoes are super lightweight they only way about 4 oz each feels like wearing nothing on your feet my podiatrist recommended them and they have excellent arch support are well-made and have high-quality materials they're black so style doesn't really matter much but they'll go with just about anything they're good enough to be used as dress shoes if you keep them neat and clean I highly recommend these new balance shoes.

i really love this shoe. Very comfortable and light weight and I could wear them all day. I am not concerned about having a sports star's name on my shoes. For the past 15 years I have worn Asics running shoes and for some reason(my age? or change in design?) they are painful to wear. Switched to these New Balance shoes for half the price and I am in heaven for for the comfort they give me. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to save money and have their shoes causing them discomfort. Keep in mind they are walking shoes verses running shoes. Thanks New Balance.

Very comfortable out of the box.

This shoe style provides plenty of toe room. Very comfortable.

FYI this shoe is as advertised a walking shoe it's not made for anything strenuous. It has a very soft insole which works well on rough surfaces. It also arrived early which is typical of Zappos.

These are our second purchase of this shoe! My teenage son has a lot of trouble with his feet but these seem to be exactly what he needs to keep his feet feeling comfortable all day long. He loves them! They look terrible when he wears them out but he loves the support and the cushion it provides!

This shoe was amazing. I have worn new balance for years now. I have a wide foot and always get 4E. There was no break in! This shoe was so comfortable out of the box that I ordered 2 pair one for work and one for home. I know shoe shopping is tricky and I have worn a lot of new balance over the years- but this one if my favorite so far!

Just bought my third pair. Great everyday shoe for someone like me with no arches and tall prescription orthotic inserts. Orthotics fit well once the factory liner is removed. Lots of toe room too. Uppers and soles held up for the life of the shoe in my case. I hope NB keeps making this model!

Right out of the box these are the most comfortable shoes I've had in a long time. Extremely light weight so I almost forget I'm wearing them. I got the white and will be ordering them in black shortly. Great deal and super service.

Bought them and love them. Comfortable, and contrary to Megan's comments, they are just fine. No squeaks, only compliments. I'd bet heavily that she's a Nike fan trying to bolster their sagging sales!

I bought these for my husband. He usually wears a New Balance walking shoe. He loves them. Says they feel like slippers and hasn’t worn anything else since they arrived.

My 1st pair of true walking shoes, although I'm a longtime walker, 5-8 miles per session. Always used running shoes and wanted to try a walker. These are great, like walking on marshmallows compared to runners (Asics, Brooks, others, I've used them all and still do for treadmill). Zappos free and fast delivery is always a given. I'll be looking for the same replacement when I wear these out.

A great shoe. I was more than able to get great mileage out of them for a year and a half.

I bought these shoes for work because I'm on my feet constantly. They are are extremely comfortable and overall great for walking. highly recommend.

I am very happy with these shoes, and very grateful to Zappos for making it possible for me to search for shoes that could fit my weird feet. I have big feet (size 13), and while they are narrow though the arch they "flair" out at the forefoot in a way that makes it tough to find a shoe that is not too narrow to accommodate all of my toes. (With most shoes I often get lots of rubbing against my smallest toe in particular.) I ordered the extra wide version of these shoes, and have found that they provide a good fit across the forefoot without being too wide through the arch and heel box. It's a comfortable fit. The shoes are also pretty light and flexible, for a comfortable walk. I did insert Powerstep orthotic insoles, as they do a better job of managing the overpronation from my flat feet. Thank you, Zappos. I feel guilty about sending back so many shoes. That said, I almost certainly would never have found shoes that fit me without your generous model for shopping. If your staff are able to recommend other shoes (both casual and formal) that might be a good match for me, based on these shoes fitting me, I would appreciate that. It might cut down on how many shoes I end up ordering and then sending back.
