Just received these so can't speak to the long term wear (yet!) but in terms of sizing, I wear a Women's US 10. Sometimes even 10.5 in running shoes. 9.5 never fits me in length unless maybe a sandal. After reading other reviews about sizing down, I ordered these in an AU 6.5 (US Women's 9.5) and AU 7 (US Women's 10). The AU 6.5 is perfect. The AU 7 was too long/sloppy so will be sending back (thanks Zappos!). There is some tightness across the top/bridge of my foot in the AU 6.5, but I read that this is normal and will quickly stretch to form my foot with some wear. Also I do wear a thinner boot sock or ski sock. In terms of look, I'm very happy that they don't look like giant clodhoppers on my (typically) size 10 feet. I needed something between my Danner's (which I wear for more intense weather or hiking) and my Blondo's (which are heeled and good for wet city walking and commuting to work). These are exactly what I was looking for: a good sturdy, flat boot for wet/slushy city weather that are good to wear to work and can transition for light outdoor activity. They also look great with a skinny/slim cut jean.

Let’s see, I’ve had these about a year so I guess it’s time for a review! I bought these primarily as my work boots, I work in a lab. I like the color a lot, versatile and hides dirt well. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 and a size 5.5 in these fit best. Initially they were quite uncomfortable by the end of the day since they pressed on the top of my foot. I threw on some thick socks and took my blow dryer to them then walked around and they fit perfect after that. I can wear them all day without any pain. I wear these boots pretty much every day and they still look brand new! They have kept their shape incredibly well, no flattening or substantial creasing, and they are waterproof. Walking in the rain does nothing to them and I’ve spilt sodium hydroxide on them also and there was so serious damage other than some spotting. A little clunky but still good looking enough to wear around town and sturdy enough for a work boot I can’t recommend these enough!

I LOVE THESE SHOES! I have severe back problem, and recently most boots I tried were not only making my back pain worse but also sending shooting pain through my legs. These shoes were instantly comfortable right from the box and have only gotten more so. I now walk to work 25 minutes each way and then I'm on my feet most of the day, but still no pain in the end. Blundstone has joined the small group of shoe brands I trust to leave me pain-free. And the shoe looks cute and cool as well. :) A couple tips... The finish is a kind of dusky dark gray which is beautiful. It does scratch easily, so I polished the shoes after a month or two. Big mistake. They went from the unusual soft finish to a pretty standard black leather. Still look great, but if you like the original finish, don't touch them! Haven't been able to restore it. Since I can't restore it, though, that freed me up to waterproof them. I used sno-seal and it worked great. After 7 months of heavy use, I can feel the arch support kind of wearing down, or maybe the boot just got looser... other reviews mention that the shoe comes with a couple insoles, but mine just had the one. May be worth getting an extra blundstone insole to swap out later on.

I love these boots, I own Frye chelsea boots Doc Martens and All Saints and Wolverines Red Wing and these are the BEST of all of them and probably the most affordable. The fit is awesome, the comfort and snugness is amazing, the grip on the street is wonderful even in wet weather. They are sexy and smart looking. They really look the best with thin cut jeans, if you wear them with boot or straight leg they will look dorky and stupid, so if you are not a skinny/slim jean wearer then don't bother. These BL1308 are the best style, squaretoeish and smarter than the classic style. I am about to buy my second pair. Oh and they are great in snow or rain I have never got wet feet and the boots look like they never even got wet, They also never get salt stains!!!! amazing boots, great for the city or hiking. You know how some boots make you feel like you should be laying railroad tracks or welding or doing big manly stuff? well these are not them :) these are boots that will make you spring around the streets, bounce off sidewalks, jump on trains and yes I would take these on a week long trip as my ONLY shoes thats how confident about them I am. They are flexible which is key, they flex with your foot, so you are not fighting against a tight sole all day. Buy 2 pairs I did :)

Best. Boot. Ever. Not only is it comfortable and stylish, but it's rugged, durable and warm. Saved my foot when my horse spooked and stepped on me with the full force of 1,000 pounds of panic. The boot fits like a glove and the sturdy leather protected unbelievably well. The foot is pretty bruised and sore but not broken, could have been a disaster. And the boot looks completely unscathed as you can see in the photo. I am a fan and will not hesitate to but another pair!

These boots are excellent! I have narrow feet, and I generally wear a 9.5. I ordered a US 9 based on recommendations and reviews, and I have plenty of room. They also don’t make my feet look huge, which is a victory considering my history with square toe boots. These boots fit like a glove, and they are easy to get on and off. Even made it through TSA with minimal hassle! They’re perfect with rolled skinny jeans and loud Stance ski socks. The traction is incredible. A bit stiff when you first wear them (as all good boots should be), but they gradually break in over 24-48 hours. Not a great deal of arch support, however, I’ll consider Superfeet if it becomes bothersome. I rarely leave reviews, but these boots are really wonderful.

I’m obsessed with these boots! They are unbelievably comfortable and well made. I wear a size 7 and bought the AU 4 in these. I am a 4.5 in the 500 series. These are far more streamlined and feminine than the 500 series. Worth every penny!

I love my Blunnies. These are men's shoes, but I am a woman. I am tall and have very large feet (size 13 American female--thanks, pregnancies!. In addition to big feet, I wear orthotics AND have arthritis in my feet (thanks years of running and hoops!). These are practically the only shoes I can wear. They are VERY stiff and supported--but I need that. Because I am female, the narrowness of this line (as opposed to other Blunnie boot lines) is perfect. The other styles are much too wide for my foot.

Little less chunky look vs the standard Blundstone. Size seems accurate. Very comfortable. Be aware these aren't really black. More of a dark grey. I like the color, but if you want dark black don't get this boot. These are my second pair of Blundstones. Very Comfortable and versatile shoes.

I love Blundstones and these do not disappoint. I have them in burgundy-ish (I forgot what Blundstone calls the color), so I wanted a pair of black ones also. As expected the fit and wear are perfect, especially with jeans and leggings.

I love everything about these boots--soft dark gray color, beautiful quality, square toes, wide enough--But wearing them made me feel like I have the biggest feet in the world. Going with the regular, rounded toe boots, which appear a little shorter.

This is my 2nd pair of 1308’s my others are Stout Brown, these are Rustic Black. For me there good out the box with both pairs. In the summer I can wear them with mid weight socks. Without socks I use very flat insoles on the bottom and Blundstone insoles on top. In the winter months I use the Blundstone insoles with mid weight or mid heavy socks. For me I dont usually have problems with shoes, it’s the fit of the sock, especially when they squeeze your foot. I usually wear my Stout Brown 1308’s in my studio because of paint, solvents, glue and sawdust etc. The Rustic Black will hold stains easier if care. They handle concrete floors in my studio to hiking in the Arizona desert. They also do well in water and snow. I’m US 12/Aus11, 6’2”, 175lbs. My first pair in the 80’s. So far so good. These exceeded my expectations! I fretted over which style to get and I’m so glad I went with the 1308s. They are dressy enough for the workplace and are still really great at keeping my feet warm and dry. I love the way they look — the rustic black is a chameleon color that goes well with everything! Also, I have wide feet and they have plenty of room in the toe box. Yet they still give my foot a nice “hug.” I hopped on the chance to try these at a discount for Black Friday, but now I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others at full price.

So like Leisa H, I'm a true size 10 in most shoes but sometimes have to size up in shoes with more structure (like boots or tennis shoes). I followed her advice since it seemed right on the money and ordered the AU 6.5 (US Men's 7.5, US Women's 9.5), but unfortunately they were just a hair too small in every direction. I'm returning them for the AU 7. I knew these shoes would be tough to buy online so I'm not surprised, but if you can, I'd buy two pairs so that you can try multiple sizes on! They are gorgeous boots, though. Can't wait to get a proper fit.

I am a true 7.5 women’s and usually wear AU 4.5. These Blundstones fit half a size too big- they are too long. After trying the 4.5 (my usual Blundstone size), I exchanged for a AU 4. Side by side with my other Blundstones, the 4s in the dress boot were the same length as my other Blundstones, which Are 4.5. Def go a half size down- it will be slightly snug but these boots always stretch.

I was nervous to try these after reading some of the reviews, but I’m so happy I did buy them! I’m a cattle rancher and have been looking for a great barn boot for years. I wore them for the first time on a trip where I walked a ton, and they did not hurt my feet. I’ve worn them everyday since. I had no problem getting them on or off like other reviewers said. I wear a 6-6.5, I bought the 6.5 and they fit great, even with thicker socks.

These boots are great for work in the office, or just trekking around town. They're very lightweight for the size, super comfortable and great casual styling. I work in a professional/casual environment and these look great with nice jeans or just work pants. The black unfinished leather looks great and the little scratches and scuffs just give the shoes character and they look even better over time. These are my first pair of Blundstones and I'm sure I'll be purchasing more in the future. Great shoes!

I've had these Blundstones for about 4 months now and I am extremely happy with them. I am in my early 20's and was looking for a mature but casual pair of boots to wear to work with and these did the trick. Personally, I like to wear them with dark, slim jeans (especially with the pull-tabs out), but they are very versatile nonetheless. The color isn't black, it's more like a dark grey. I love wearing these - Blundstones just make you feel awesome! I typically wear US Men's 10 ~ 10 1/2 but I decided to go a size down (to US 9.5) and I'm glad I followed through with that - the shoe fits like a glove. Sometimes when walking I do feel that the right shoe feels a tiny bit looser than the left but I barely notice that now. The sleekness, traction, and ease of putting these shoes on make up for it many times over.

these fit true to size, although they are a wider cut than most dress boots. The color is a greenish-tinged grey and definitely not black, so be aware - I knew this because a friend has them. What I didn't expect was that the top of the boot would bruise my ankle every time I walk any distance in them. I really hope they break in because otherwise they are super comfortable, but I really want to be able to wear them and walk around!

These are so difficult to break in. I’m not sure they can even be broken in.

These booties are much heavier-duty than I was expecting. If you work on a ranch, you might like them. I was looking for something a little more city. The boots were very stiff. I expect they will wear like iron and might feel good after an extensive breaking-in period; but they weren't what I was looking for.

My first pair of Blundstone's and I absolutely love them. They are super fashionable with all jeans-skinny, straight, flair, and leggings. I wear a size 9.5 in tennis shoes and 10 in heels. I ordered an US 9.5 and the boots are perfection. I have tried several types of ankle boots and these are vastly superior..vastly.

Couldn’t be happier. Took a chance and ordered in my usual size 8.5 which is a 5.5 AU. Fits perfectly. Are a little tough to get into but after only a few days of wear, already loosening up. Super comfortable and no break-in needed for me. Can tell these will be a favorite.

I wear a 7-7.5 and bought an 8. Works perfect for me. I felt my regular size was a bit tight across the toe. I think the color is more charcoal than black. Super cute. Highly recommend.
