So I have a pair of Frye Kelsies; they are gorgeous and my first pair from this brand. I have been searching forever for a great pair of fall/winter boots and I picked out this style (Frye Veronica Slouch color Saddle) and another (Frye Carmen Tall color brown) and tried them on at home, which turned in to a huge debate! I love them both and found the Veronica was a great look, lower on the calf and full of sleek city style. The buckles are beautiful and though the boot was great with stockings/skirts, its look with jeans was a bit different. Tucking my pants in made it all bulky and uncomfortable. I have a wide foot and muscular calves and both styles were a great fit. Ultimately Veronica ended up losing the debate to Carmen so I had to send her back, and it was only because the Carmens were much more versatile. I wish that I could have afforded to keep both, so maybe I'll get Veronica next season! Frye is so durable and beautiful I know I don't have to worry, I can keep adding them to my wardrobe.

First order of business: Zappos is uh-mazing! I paid for standard 4-5 business day shipping and I got my boots in 2 days; love that! On to the boots: They are stunning! I mostly wear an 8.5 (rarely a 9) and bought these in the 8.5. For me, they fit true to size. Other reviews said how hard they were to get on. Here's what you do: 1st, unbuckle the bottom strap; 2nd, put on a slippery/thin sock; 3rd, stand and pull up from the back of the boot and voila! I honestly had no problems getting them on (with an average foot arch and even a little bit wide of a foot). One (minor) complaint: for some bizarre reason, the footbed/padding is not one complete piece. Under where the ball of my foot (right under the toe line) it splits horizontally, so that when I take my foot out it kind of peels back some and rolls. I can't feel it when the boot is on; nothing a little super glue can't fix, but still a bit of a bummer for this crazy price tag. Overall: I love this style of Frye, worth every penny and will last for seasons to come. You can always send 'em back free if you don't love them. You have no excuse not to look adorable this fall!

First, Zappos is the best fastest shipper ever! Thank you so much. These boots are awesome. I was very nervous about the color (I ordered Saddle because I loved the silver buckles on them). In the photo they look pretty reddish. When I opened the box, I fell in love instantly. The color is perfect, not too red at all, and I can match with anything. I am normally a size 81/2 - 9. I ordered the 9 and they slipped on no problem. I also have bigger calves, but absolutely no problem with being too tight. My only hang-up with them is the distressing; they look like I've worn them for about 5 years! I would like it if they were a little newer looking, but then again with a dress, it makes a perfect under-statement that I can wear to work. This is definitely a splurge at the top of my price range, but I am very happy. I am so excited about these boots.

I first bought the dark brown boots, after mulling it over for 6 months and I loved them, and later on, after thinking about the black patent leather ones for another 4 months, I broke down and bought them. I wear a size 9 and the fit on both pairs was consistent. The buckles allow you to adjust the fit. \r\n\r\nI love these boots for their classic styling, and they look expensive, especially when you compare them to other boots. The black patent is gorgeous. \r\n\r\nThese boots are comfortable, I work on hard floors and stand up for 8 hours, and they weren\'t as comfortable as tennis shoes of course, but they were o.k. I only wear them to work occasionally.\r\n\r\nWhen I first wore them, I got 3 compliments on them right away from strangers. If you are thinking of buying these, you won\'t be sorry, and you will get a lot of use out of them, and you will be glad you have them in your wardrobe.

I am normally a size eight to eight and a half. I have a pair of the Harness 12 Frye boots, and a size seven fits me perfectly. I bought a size seven in the Veronica Slouch and they were much too small. I returned them for a size eight and they were perfect. I would say these fit true to size, however, I have very narrow feet. So for all of those who have narrow feet this is the review to look at!

I absolutely LOVE these boots! I wear them all the time and get compliments just as often. They are super comfortable right out of the box, except I got one token blister initially, but once they were broken-in...heaven! I walk all over and my feet never hurt...they go with so much in my wardrobe but these days I am wearing them with shorts and a tank top and a lightweight cardigan...so cute! You will not regret this purchase...it's truly an investment.

Umm-ed and ahh-ed about these for ages due to the price - but I am so glad I took the plunge. Fabulous - look exactly as I hoped they would. I took the advice of others and ordered a size 8 instead of my usual 7.5 and am awfully glad that I did - they are a perfect fit with thin socks but I could even have gone a half size higher. Beautifully made - they will last forever and are as happy being worn on the farm as they are in the city. Thanks Zappos for the best customer service experience I have had in a long time - it's so great to be treated like more than a number.

So awesome! I am bummed I have to send these back. I have a few pairs of Frye and always wear a 6.5, so I ordered these in that size, too. I could not even get my feet in them, so order a size up... these tend to run a little small!

This boot is all I dreamed it would be. I have very high arches, and I was able to easily pull them on--which isn't often the case in this style of boot. I have largish calves, and was able to fit into them without a problem--they're definitely roomy in the calf--although the buckle at the calf gives some adjustment room. The toe box has plenty of space, even for problem feet. The heel does slip a bit, though. The color is perfect. The only thing I would wish for is about an inch more in shaft height. I ordered a half-size up as was recommended in other reviews, and I think it worked out perfectly. This was an investment boot for me, and I don't think I'll have any reason to regret it. I'm very pleased. Zappos upgraded delivery and was extraordinarily prompt.

These boots are great. Out of the 4 pairs of Frye boots I have, these from the first day I received them have been the most comfortable. No break in time - and I have bunions and foot problems! I got the black/brown patent which I love - but have to report anything other than water will show up on the lighter leather. I decided over time this will give them character. Zappos upgraded my shipping which was an unexpected +. I am very happy with the overall purchase/buying experience.

I ordered these boots from New Zealand, so was a bit apprehensive about sizing after reading the differing reviews. I ended up getting them in size 9, which is the size I usually buy, and they fit perfectly. No problems at all getting them on or off! They did slip in the heel a bit but I tightened the ankle straps and that solved the slippage. They are awesome boots and I am so glad I brought them. Thanks Zappos for the excellent service!

First of all: ZAPPOS = GREAT Customer Service. I cannot even believe how much they try to do their best. I love Zappos! All FRYE boots are awesome, I always have problem with boots with no zipper but about FRYE? They are different and so comfortable. I have never had any shoes or boots as comfortable as FRYE's. I can walk with them for a long time without any problem. Thank you Zappos for everything. Your new option about Exchange is unbelievable!

I have been coveting these boots for a long time. I wear a 7 and sized up to a 7 1/2. They are perfect. I have a high in-step so I need the extra 1/2 size just to get into them (otherwise I think the 7 would fit my foot just fine). Sometimes it's easy to get them on, other times it can be a real struggle. It helps if I stand and I only wear stocking-type socks. I wore them only for short periods the first few times and was worried that the rubbing on my heel would lead to many blisters. I never got blisters and it didn't take too long to break in. These boots are perfectly comfortable and absolutely gorgeous and I wear them practically all day (we're talking 14-hour days), every day, and have to stand a lot. I'm saving for my next pair!!

I looked at these online for weeks. Read all the reviews. I am an 8.5 or 9 - so I was nervous about sizing. I also had reservations spending this much on a marbley looking shoe that's really just FUN... but I did it. I'd do it again. I have a 9 - fits perfect... easy enough to get on... some room in foot, but not enough to create blisters from rubbing. They are beautiful and FUN. I may sleep in them tonight. Press buy - you won't regret it.
