Strange sizing - While many reviews suggest ordering these a half-size up, I have tried on Frye's other styles before, and find them HUGE. I usually wear a 9, and ordered an 8.5, and still find them too big. I have a fairly flat and narrow foot--and had no trouble getting the boot on, as others have mentioned. The toe area fits well, but the heel slips A LOT--I already have big blisters, and am hoping the boots will break in over time. If you have narrow, flat feet, you may want to order a size DOWN. That being said, I love the quality and look of the boot. The calf circumference is quite wide, so be prepared for lots of extra room with your skinny jeans/skirts.

These boots rock! These are pricey, but worth it. Some people have asked me if they are plastic, because there is definitely a "shine" to the material, but you can just tell them that it is leather and Frye boots thank you very much. As always, Zappos delivery exceeds expectations.

Love at first sight - I bought these for my daughter and she absolutely loves them. When she first tried them on she had to unbuckle the strap to get them on. Once on they fit great.

Great Boot - This was my first big purchase on a pair of shoes; it was definitely worth it. They do need a period of breaking in, but they will provide comfort soon. I had to adjust the foot strap for a tighter fit. Can't wait for the weather to cool down so I can wear them more!

This boot rocks - Although I had to swallow hard to invest in these boots, I'm REALLY happy. They feel great, they look great and they're a little bit classy, a little bit rock and roll.

Fabulous Boot - I love this boot! But... I bought them a size larger then I normally wear so be careful. They run small. They are extremely comfortable, beautiful looking and made well in the Frye tradition.

Great shoe! Very cute! Don't have great arch support but the sole is comfortable anyway. Did find that it ran a half size too small but a half size up is perfect!

Love it but read reviews - The leather on the eights had a totally different finish then the two nines I tried, weird. I usually wear a seven or eight and the eight fit well in the foot, a little loose in the heel and toe but I want to wear nice warm socks so that is good. I usually can't find high boots that fit over my muscular calves, 16 inch circ! I did have to have these stretched a little for comfort but I could get them on and now they are perfect. Still can't tuck my jeans in but I really love this boot. Pricey but really well made.

I pined for these boots for over a year...visited them regularly (often daily) online. The price stirred up a mix of guilt and turmoil. But that quickly melted away as I pranced around the house, admiring my fabulousness in them. I had no problem putting them on with socks (I unbuckled the ankle strap first). I always wear a 9.5, and these proved to be spot on size wise (with "normal" thickness socks). If you are pining for these boots...just buy them!

Love my new boots! They're a little difficult to get on... I suggest wearing a nylon sock, so they slide on better. But once on, they are super cozy and gorgeous! I get lots of compliments. I'm usually a 9.5 or 10, and the 9.5 fit perfectly! Zappos was fantastic at helping me get the right size with the right stitching (I ordered 2 pair, one had black sole with black stitching, one had brown sole with white stitching... I guess they used to make 'em one way and now they make them different). I prefer the brown sole with white stitching. Love love love these boots... dress 'em up, dress 'em down, u can wear them anywhere!

I'm in Love! These boots are great. The price was a bit hard to swallow, but the quality is amazing and I know I'll wear them for years to come. I normally wear a size 8, so based on other reviews I chose to go up to a size 8.5, but I don't really think it was necessary. The shaft on this boot was a little wider than I had anticipated, but I like the look anyway. I have smallish calves and there is definitely room to tuck jeans in with space to spare. I had no trouble getting my feet into the boots and they felt surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. The leather is super soft and I know it will only get better with time. I can't speak highly enough of Frye products and of Zappos as well. I'm already shopping around Zappos for my next Frye purchase!

Follow-up - To follow up on my previous review, I did go up a half size from my usual 6.5 and the boot now has the perfect fit. It is a gorgeous and different in Ecru. It did come with a lot of dark scuffs on it. Because it was the last pair in my size, and I figured they'd eventually get scuffs anyway, I didn't attempt to exchange them and looked for a leather cleaner that could be used on white leather without leaving a yellow cast. They now look so hot! I am so very pleased with my purchase.

Veronica slouch boots are gorgeous! I ordered these boots in Ecru in my size cause of the mixed reviews and they were the perfect size although a little narrow (I have slight bunions), but I would have been willing to take my chances to stretch them out as they were the last pair, but there were many dark scuffs on them. I was so disappointed. Zappos looked online for me for another place who carried them in my size. No ecru available, but I was able to order a black pair (my second choice). What service! These just arrived in my regular size, but again feel a little too tight in the width, even with a thin sock, so I'm going to try the larger size (the last available pair) at Zappos in Ecru color before committing to the tighter black ones. Stay tuned for next review on fit if you have a wider foot like me (or bunions). Zappos is the best company ever in customer service which is allowing me to explore my options to get the perfect fit in making such a pricey purchase. You'll never go wrong with Zappos, free shipping both ways and overnight delivery. Incidentally, there were no problems slipping the boot on as some folks said (I have a regular arch). Go with Zappos!

My new favorite boot! Ordered half-size up because my Frye campus were a little tough to get in and out of when I ordered them in 7, so for these I got 7.5. Overall look is great, just like someone wrote before they look pretty hard but when they arrive are perfectly equestrian. Comfort is better in my opinion than the Campus boots. The color is mild reddish brown but I like the variation in color between my brown clothes and brown boots (I’m not a matching junkie). I would love them in a true dark gray but one's better than none, don't hesitate and just click buy.

Beautiful boots...and Zappos is WONDERFUL! After months of looking and longing, I purchased these boots (in black). They are well worth the price--beautiful, well-constructed things that they are, they'll last for years both in terms of style and wear-n-tear. I ordered them a half-size larger, as some suggested in the reviews, and they fit perfectly. Also, Zappos is, by far, the best shopping website--wonderful selection and absolutely FANTASTIC customer service. (For free, they upgraded my order to next-day air.) I'm lovin' Zappos!

A Fantastic & Fun Summer Boot - It was an easy shopping experience and received in time. Pleasantly surprised and happy to see that this boot was in great quality and cool looking in ecru color.

These boots are amazing! I bought them in the Ecru (white) color. Looks great with jeans, skirts, practically everything! They are different and not like most typical high boots you see people wearing. They seem to be very well made and comfortable. I didn't have any trouble getting them on. If you're unsure about these boots... don't be. Just take the plunge and get them, they're amazing. Besides, Zappos has great customer service and will take care of you if there are any problems.

Comfortable and well made - It is a really nice boot. However, I was given a slightly different impression of the look. It seems a little bulkier and harder looking boot (almost biker) in the pictures when in actuality it is really more equestrian. Keep that in mind if you were going for a harder look like I was, but it is elegant though. It is a little smaller than true size, I think, but only a very small amount.

Style and individuality at last! I waited a long time to get these boots and it was worth it. Fantastic look of quality and great sense of individuality - you won't look like everyone else! These boots were comfortable from the first I put them on with very little break in time. They are easy to wear all day as they do not have a high heel and the support felt good, too. Lovely soft, high quality leather, beautifully made. I love them!

Great Boot - I love my boots! I would recommend getting them a half size bigger than usual if you plan on wearing socks with your boots. Since I have skinny ankles, I had to buy insoles for a better fit. Other than that the boots fit fine. The soft leather requires no breaking in time. Also, the smell of the leather is intoxicating in a good way. Love, love, love them!

Great boot, even better retailer! I have eyed these boots for about 3 years now and finally broke down thanks to all of the praise listed in the Zappos reviews. I was delighted to find an overnight shipping option so I wouldn't have to wait to finally wear the coveted boots. They are as nice as everyone else says - great for casual or can be dressed up a bit more with a skirt for an edgy look. A little tight to get on the first few times, but nothing that unbuckling the ankle buckle didn't take care of. I also found they are true to size (as the half size up was too large and made my feet look disproportionate) and even feel like they could be a bit larger than marked. At any rate, they're quite comfortable once worn a few times and very stylish. Thanks Zappos!

Pricey, but totally great - I was, much like everyone else, pretty reluctant to get these because they're so expensive, but they're great. The only complaints I have are (1) that they have *no* arch support (and I have flat feet, but it's not that big a deal since no shoes I like have arch support anyway); (2) that they are kind of wide at the ankle, but I think that it's worth it in the end. If it had a narrower ankle, it might look weird and would definitely need a zipper or something which would also detract from its clean, chic appearance. Overall, beautiful leather, perfect heel height, wears well... totally great.

Veronica Slouch - This is a beautiful boot. I actually had to go down an entire size despite other reviews saying to go up in size. (I have very small feet). The brown leather is gorgeous and ages well. I also ordered them in gray but sent them back, because the finish made the boots look "plastic-y" not leathery. Overall it’s a comfortable boot. I recommend wearing socks, since they will chafe your heel a bit. The upper part of the boot definitely does slouch a bit after a couple wears, but nothing to be worried about. I've gotten tons of compliments!

GET THEM! These boots are truly beautiful and extremely well made. I've gotten complimented almost every time I've worn them, which just reassures me that I made the right choice! I hesitated at the price, but with their classic style and craftsmanship, they will last 8-10 years. My boots were comfortable from the first day I wore them and have only gotten better feeling over time. Try them on, you'll fall in love, too!

The easiest way to get these on is... to put them on standing up. I ordered these in a size 9, which is the size I normally wear. The first time I put them on, I did undo the buckle, but it took a LONG time to get them on. Each time I have tried them on, it gets a little easier, but I just put them on standing up and my feet went right in. Try it!
