So cute and pretty comfortable. I was on the fence for a long time about whether to keep them. Great if you have narrow ankles. A small amount of slipping forward which was not good for me. If you don't have fussy feet, they will likely work well for you. I tried the wide (loose in ankle and did not keep my heel locked) and the regular (firm and snug fit, but hurt my toes/bunion/hallux limitus). I went with Dromedaris Kara, which is the original boot of this style and has crazy good arch and metatarsal support. The Taos boots are a bit cuter/more feminine.

Gorgeous boot, but smaller than listed size

Sturdy but not inflexible. Tough but not loud about it. I love these and have them in 1 more color (for now, hehe).

These boots are gorgeous and comfortable! True to size. Just stunning in the camel color. Very sturdy and will last a long time.

I have two other colors of the Crave but the gorgeous black cherry leather in this color was very stiff, and although I sized up it was very uncomfortable. They are stunning though…BTW I have narrow feet.

Boot was just too short. I normally wear a 10.5, but ordered an 11 because of wearing thicker socks.

I love these boots! They fit well and are very stylish. My new favorite go-to boots!

These shoes are super cute! However, they run so small that I can't possibly wear them. They seemed a little tight when I first tried them on, but I attributed it to needing to break them in. The site said that this is the case. However, they are so painful that I had to go home and change after a 30-minute walk. I'm hoping that a cobbler will be able to stretch them out half a size. If not, then it'll end up being a waste! If you end up getting these, go at least a half size bigger than you normally wear!

I'm normally a size 7 but because I have two other pairs of this style of Taos Boot, I knew they are sized small ; so the 6-6.5 was a perfect fit. I love the look and feel of these boots. However, these pricey boots lose two star ratings because they (1) have those cheap hollow heals - really? you can't spend another dollar for a solid heal on $200 boots? and (2) after a few months on both previous pairs, I've had to re-glue the trim on the sides of each. It is not sewn, as it appears, that is for show only. But I've bought a third pair because I know I can fix them and I love them overall. But hey, Taos Boot makers... these would be perfect if you improved the quality of the construction! You Can Do Better! And as someone who lives in Taos, you shouldn't put our name on a product that isn't beautiful AND tough!

Best shoe purchase I have made in years! I wear these several times a week. They are incredibly comfortable and look amazing with a pair of jeans. I ended up buying a brown pair as well. My daughter wears these every time she comes home from college because she loves them just as much. I've never spent so much for a pair of shoes, but would do it again in a heartbeat. AND, I get compliments on them all the time.

The fit was true to size and style are awesome, however, had to return these as the leather was squeaky. So sad as I love Taos boots.

I was in search of some black combat boots, but I have hallux rigidus and bunions, so I was concerned about finding something stylish and comfortable. These did the trick. I purchased the all-leather black boots because I felt the ones with the suede tops took away from the combat boot styling. These are perfect. The leather is very soft and smooth. I plan to weather-proof them before wearing them outside to protect them. As far as sizing goes, I am normally a 6.5 but bought a 7-7.5 to accommodate my custom orthotic. They are a little roomy but I'd rather they not pinch or feel tight. You can also cinch up the laces tighter to modify the fit. Having the side zipper makes them very easy to get on and off. Super happy with this purchase.

This shoe is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than marked. The size 12-12.5 fit like a size 9!!!

Excellent fit to my usual 8.5 size. I can't wear these boots without every woman asking where I got them. (that's how I got them ... told my friend I'd be wearing her boots in a few days cause I loved these so much.) even a man in the hair salon took a photo of my boots to buy for his wife's birthday. That day I sold FOUR pairs. AWESOME BOOTS!!!!

Well made. Good fit. I prefer the softer black version of this boot. This one is too militant for my liking.

These are super cute boots and well made. Unfortunately they were too narrow for me. I have to return them. I might try a bigger or wider size if they have it.

Love these, but they are too big. Despite wearing a 6 in Taos sneakers, the boot in that size is too big. I do normally wear a 5 or 5.5, so unlike the sneakers, the boots apparently run true to size. I will try again with the size 5-5.5.

These are super comfy, thought a little heavy. They are well made and warm. I expect they'll last a long time. I got the red ones which are beautiful, but I do have a tough time figuring out what to wear them with. These are not my typical style, so it might just be getting out of my comfort zone (fashion wise). But they are very comfy and cute!

They run small.

Finally a leather, lace up, chunky boot that fits my narrow foot. I am so excited! I have passively wanted a pair of boots in this style ever since Dr. Martens became popular in the '80's. Unfortunately my narrow foot could never fit them. I have found a pair at last. Thank you Taos!

The boots are high quality with a great fit and great quality. Ordered black and red and love them both. If you make them in white or purple I will buy them!

These are gorgeous boots! I thought they would require some break-in, but I wore them to school today (I teach middle school, so I am on my feet and moving around all day) and was amazed how comfortable they were. I am usually a size 10.5, but ordered these in the 11-11.5 and they 're riiiiiight on the edge of almost being too small. They have a very narrow toe box, so if you have a wide foot these might not work for you. Highly recommend. I bought them in red, and the color is as pictured.
