very light color almost blond not happy

The color was radically different from what I expected. Even though it was described as stone, the image was much more of a brown, which was what I wanted. I've uploaded a side by side image to show the view from my app that I used to select the shoes and what I got. These shoes were definitely a light grey, almost white. They had some scuff marks on them, and I wasn't sure if that was by design or from previous trials of other customers. Even though I was pretty sure the color as a deal breaker I tried them on and was pleased to find them somewhat comfortable. They went a bit too high abve my ankle for my taste though so even though the color did grow on me as I looked at them, I decided to go with a different pair.

Grail boots, pure and simple. I bought my first pair (bourdeaux) in 2018 and wore them almost daily for four years. I have problematic feet, you see: high insteps and arches, painful neuromas, mild arthritis in the toes. These felt amazing straight out of the box and then got even better with time. My original pair is finally looking pretty beat up (still comfy, though!) so I’m in the market for a replacement. Oh, p.s. a friend of mine was so inspired by mine she ordered her own . . . And now has seven pairs in various colors. They’re THAT good.

Beautiful boots, disappointed that despite ordering Wide - they were too narrow! Returning

This is a beautiful shoe; well made, soft leather; fine crafted. My only feedback is that when you look at the picture, the color "stone" shows up as a distressed brown. Be aware that "stone" is actually distressed ivory color. You can't see the color clearly on this website. Even though it's not the color I thought I was ordering, I'm keeping the shoe because it's so beautiful.

These are absolutely beautiful and comfortable! Unfortunately they were just too big for me, and I couldn’t get a smaller size. I think they run a little large. I wish they would have fit!!

I love these leather boots. The steel gray black color really is gorgeous, and the color is unique. I have bunions and these do not push on my feet or feel snug. These are very comfy, I expect to have these a very long time. I am SUPER happy with these boots. I have only worn them a few times so far but I cant find anything about them I dont love.

The quality of these boots is horrible as well as customer service. I have only worn my boots twice because they SQUEAK very loud when I walk. I tried removing the insoles and they STILL SQUEAK. I contacted customer service at TAOS and they don't seem to care.

I just ordered these in Stone. The color is quite a bit different than as shown on the website…they read warmer in the online photos and are much lighter colored in real life (perhaps they should be called Cream or Putty). Haven’t decided yet if I’ll keep them yet - they are comfortable- but the color is not as expected.

First let me say I have problematic feet and am grateful to Zappos for their selection and return policy. I usually wear 8 or 8.5W and need arch support due to bunions and a foot injury. Problem is I need a wide toe box and have a narrow heel. These fit perfectly in 8-8.5W/EU 39W and will work with tights or a mid-thickness sock. They are so comfortable right out of the box which makes me beyond happy. I'm definitely buying Taos again!! Very well made and the leather is lovely. They will look grate with skirts, dresses, leggings and jeans.

Had to return due to an unusual toe problem. These boots are amazing!

So, my best size is 8.5WW, but I can often wear 9W instead. These boots fit me great in size 10-10.5W, with medium-thin socks, and plenty of room in the toe box. I've probably got a full 1/2 inch from the tip of my big toe to the edge of the shoe, which is great! I tried these boots on in the next size down, and my big toe was pressed to the edge. Despite being roomy, they don't feel too big. The heel is comfortable, and the laces can be tightened to make them as snug as you'd like around the ankle. The leather is very soft and flexible, but also substantial. These boots have some weight to them. For further fit reference, I often have trouble with wide shoes made for "chubby" feet. The straps are often too high off my foot, or the heel is too loose. Naturalizer WW were the best fitting shoes on me before they apparently stopped making them. If your wide feet are like mine, don't be afraid to size up a few times for a perfect fit. I've tried on a LOT of boots lately, and these are definitely among the very nicest.

I was looking for a nice pair of boots for the winter. I really liked the look of these; I also liked the side zipper as I'm not keen on wearing lace up boots. I read that these ran narrow but size 6/6.5 wasn't offered in a wide but I ordered them anyway. I expected to have to return them but was pleasantly surprised when they fit perfectly with socks. I wore them around the house for a day to make sure they would be comfortable, they were.

These were lovely. I wear a 9 and have a wide foot. The length was fine but the width was off. The construction was good but not what I expected for the price. I was expecting them to be made from stronger stuff, the interior is lined with a napped fabric not leather. I know lots of people commented the last a long time with hard wear but I am not seeing that in this boot.

Absolutely beautiful boot and extremely comfortable. I have a normal width foot, but like to order a wider fit to help with comfort especially if I'll be wearing the boot for a longer period of time. This fit like a glove in 8.5W.

Beautiful, comfortable boots that are true to size.

I love these boots - sturdy, good arch support, and comfortable. I did have to size up - 41 (10 - 10.5) for them to fit. I'm usually a 9 in Born and Sofft but it was no big deal - Zapppos support and return is amazing. I just bought another pair in Black. I broke one ankle several years ago and badly sprained by other ankle last year so I can't wear boots unless they provide great support and are comfortable. More than I'd normally pay but absolutely worth it.

I have high arches and these boots are not only super cute, but also have great support and sturdiness. High quality and snazzy, they improve the dressiness of any outfit I pair them with. Only downside is that as I believe they are patent leather, they haven't gotten any less stiff than when I got them, which makes them hard to bend at my ankle when I walk, and sometimes dig into my shin too. They also squeak on linoleum. Worth it for the great design and color, though.

I love this boot more than any other boot I have! THE most comfortable, stylish and durable boot around. I wear these with jeans, long dresses, just about anything. I bought the steel gray and the color couldn’t be richer and more perfect. Get these!! You won’t regret it!

I love these sandals because they are so comfortable, and the thong does not hurt my toes. I love the color also. I particularly like that there is more heel to this sandal. Definitely not a flat shoe, so heel is lifted just right.

These boots are buttery soft and very cute. I could even wear them without socks. They were pricey but I think they are worth it for the high quality of the leather and craftsmanship.
