I chose Bridgers to replace my Oboz Tamarac shoes no longer available. Loved Oboz Tamaracs as confortable hiking shoes with great traction. The upper back heel of the Tamarac was a weak point in construction. Initially, the Bridgers felt like "slippers" but could see an advantage to avoid chafing. The fit of the heel in the Bridgers coupled with the easier lacing makes Bridgers a more comfortable hiking shoe with the same superior traction I had with the Tamarac.

Strong and sturdy shoe and well put together. This is not a flexible type hiking shoe but more of a study work type.

As a longtime Oboz customer and supporter, I recently acquired the Bridger Low Dark Shadow Hiking Shoe for light hikes in Colorado. As I have a high arch/instep, I need a shoe with a wide width and high/wide toebox. I'm pleased to report that the Bridger in a 10W fulfills those criteria beautifully! In addition, the construction of both the upper and outsole are fantastically robust and durable. The midsole is excellent as well, as I don't feel any discomfort from rocks regardless of terrain. I also appreciate the "B-Dry" waterproof feature, though I have yet to test that in the field. I own several brands of shoe/boot, and none have a more robust outsole than my Oboz! For hiking the mountains of Colorado, as well as simple day hikes on gravel or pavement, I highly recommend these Oboz Bridger Low Hiking Shoes!

Just tried out my new Bridger shoes for a 20-mile hiking/backpacking trip, and they're fantastic! I've tried many shoes/boots in the past, and these seem to be the ones with the magic fit and feel for my podiatric needs.

Its refreshing to find a product that actually performs better than expected. Although I hike 5-6 miles every other weekend with my pup, I also wear my Bridgers everyday. My work has me in the office and on different commercial job sites most every day. Ive spent the past 12yrs years buying and using top name brand boots that typically fail or wear out within one year, - until I tried the Oboz Bridger. After 27months of daily use I finally replaced my first Bridgers with an identical pair. Although 95% of the tread is worn away Ive had no other issues with these boots. They are a bit heavier, but offer superior performance. These boots are the real deal for someone who needs g2g equipment.

The Bridger low is my favorite all over shoe. The only reason I took a small hiatus from them is because my 2 year old puppy chewed my old ones I had had for 4 year. They were just as comfortable, waterproof and reliable as they were on the day I bought them. Im from the Bozeman area but am currently stationed in Utah, so I need a good shoe that reminds me of home to hike all over the massive Wasatch range, and the Bridger low is the only show I want for the job. First Oboz discontinues the Tamarack. Now, they change manufacturers or product quality. Let's use note fit like they used to. It's interesting because when I talk to people at REI and Sheels they're full saying the brand has gone down hill, customers are complaining and recommend other products. Bad business move. Oboz, you can't ignore this issue any longer. Your original customers are leaving for more reliable brands.

I struggled with finding a good pair of day hikers this year. Tried all the major brands and couldnt find a pair where my heel didnt slip. I have normal width, very flat feet and a narrow ankle. Bought the Bridgers on a whim and they fit like a pair of socks. My ankle is locked in and the upper cradles my foot like a well worn pair of running shoes. They seem a little stiffer on the soles that Im used to but on the trail I dont notice that at all. These are by far the best pair of hikers Ive ever worn and I only have 15 miles on them so far. This is a great quality and fitting shoe. Oboz definitely knocked it out of the park with this one.

In the past 10 yrs I have purchased Keen and Merrel boots. While decent boots, they were not of the same quality as Oboz. I use these boots every day landscaping. The Bridger Low I bought lasted 16 months of being worn every day. Wet, Cold, 95 degrees and they never failed! I just purchased my second pair. I Highly recommend

My favorite hiking sneakerwaterproof, stabilizing, good arch support, strong grip. Could be a bit wider, but not a deal breaker. Would love a warmer color of brown as well as deeper shade of black.

I ordered the Bridger, wide fit, in both 11.5 and 12. 11.5 should be fine for me. It felt snug as someone else noted. The 12 felt better but too much front room would likely lead to my foot moving forward, especially down hill. I also ordered the Firebrand, both sizes. The 11.5 fit perfectly. Returning the other 3. Unfortunately, my slightly older are going to goodwill. Fine for light duty, but on any moderate hike on a hot day, too snug.

Several years ago I bought a pair of sawtooth X low waterproof. I like them so much I went back a week later and bought a second pair. Sometime after that, I went back to buy a third pair to wear at my night job and they didnt have any of this model so I ended up buying a pair of sawtooth II low. I bought them even though I thought they were particularly ugly but I needed the pair of shoes. They also werent very comfortable, being a little wider than my previous two pair of shoes. So when my first pair wore out, I went back to buy another pair of the same model and the store I shop at didnt have any. So I ended up buyin a pair of low Bridgers. These were my go to town shoes when I needed a pair of shoes that looked clean and decent. turns out I really really like the Bridgers and so I went to my store to look for another pair and they didnt have any so I had to order a pair online from the company. These are really comfortable Id like the fact that theyre a little narrower than the sawtooth models and they fit my feet really well very comfortable shoes

Try these on wearing your hiking sox before spending money! Very well made & durable, but the fit is different for me. The forefoot is tight fitting even when the laces are loose and I notice some heel slippage. Past "Bridger" shoes fit perfectly out-of-the-box. Something has changed! Try before you buy!
