Very nice pair of ski pants. Kept me dry and warm. Lowest temp used in at Breckenridge was 15deg with windchill putting close to 1 degrees. Only had lightweight thermal underwear on under these pants and I was warm and toasty. Would be nice to have another thigh cargo pocket.

Right out of the box i could feel the quality in the pants and after close inspection i was sure these were a good first time purchase from TNF. The first test was a couple days ago in Black Hawk, CO with 6" of snow & 25MPH wind with just a base layer and the freedom pants i was just fine heat wise and my mobility was as if i was in just my base layer, look no further these are the snow pants for winter.

Great pants for skiing and snowboarding. They are lightweight yet provide just enough warmth to allow you to move freely about. These pants are awesome and at a great price.

Very good light pants for snow. I have personally used them in high altitude mountaineering, snow and ice climbing. Pockets are good enough for small useful gear and snacks. Fabric lasts and endures hard use.

Great pants work well for skiing, snow shoeing and winter hiking. True to size. Enough insulation to keep you warm with just a base layer underneath.

These are really versatile and have plenty of room to move when being active outdoors. Keeps the snow out and look good too! Goes good with the North Face Men's Plasmatic Jacket!

I expected more for what I paid. The freedom pants are just snow pants that's all with North Face's name attached. I think Diamond pants may be better than these darn things! When I first saw the pants out the box I inspected the pants carefully. I compared the bottom heel cuff to the rest pant and saw a color difference. The color difference was unnoticeable except when you look directly at the pants like reading a book. I called NF and was told the color should be uniform throughout the pant, so i sent them back in exchange for another pair. When the delivery was made I opened the box and inspected the pants again. Same problem. To me the pants look like there was a mistake made during the manufacturing process that caused a color difference. Additionally I believe these pants may yellow when left in the sun to long or used after a while. There is nothing spectacular about these pants.

It's a solid material that would survive its scuffs and scratch as you tumble over snow many times. However, I do hope they make just slightly more slimmer pants, since I don't need to wear boots that fill in all of the pant's bell bottom. waist fit and length is good. I'm 5'10, 150ib and I wear size small-short.

I have used the pants a couple of times now with the latest this last weekend and the weather was on the warm side. The vents did the trick to keep me from over heating and the material had nice water repellency so they didn't get wet like others I saw. Very nice pants and worth the money.

Very solid construction. These pants remind me of a pair of Carhartt work pants. Great insulation. A bit too warm to wear in temperatures above 40F. Layer accordingly and these pants will take all the abuse a day in the powder can handle.

This is my second pair of Freedom Pants. I buy the insulated version.
First, they come in sizes that fit! I am short, and love that I can find ski gear made for me. Love the precise waist sizes- I just lost 30 pounds, and lost 6 inches in my waist. Loved that I could go from 36 to 32.
They keep me warm with just base layer long underwear. The venting is brilliant for spring skiing. At age 53, the storage space is a must, carrying reading glasses, phone, medications, etc....
The product lasts forever, the zippers work great, they make skiing pleasant. If/when I gain my weight back. I'll have the other pair waiting for me!

I recently purchased the Men's Freedom ski pants for my spring break ski trip to Durango Colorado. Overall the product preformed well, kept me warm and dry! The price kind of hurt a little but the pants are still a quality product!

This North Face ski pant is one of the good buy I have made for this winter. It's a durable pant , fit is perfect. And the bootcut is a good fit for the snow boots. Material is very durable and stretchable, so it's comfortable during the sking. It's a good investment for skiers. I am happy with the product and I recommend it.
