The pants looked and felt great but we had to return them because they were much too big. My son is 5 ft 9 and and weighs 130. According to the size chart he should have fit in a small. His pant size is usually 28x32

Way to long. Ordered Large Regular but returned them for large short. Wear 34/30. 5 '9 and 190. The short fit better. Good quality but have not worn freezing weather yet.

I will start with I love that The North Face makes ski pants that don't have too much extra thigh space. Unfortunately these went a little too far the other way. I am 5'4", 120lbs and the waist and length were great but the thigh/butt were too tight in the small I also bought a pair of the NFZ Pant in a small and they fit great through the thigh/butt. I was also disappointed with the thigh pocket. Although it would hold your items securely it makes them difficult to access quickly. I use these as work pants at a ski area and wanted the thigh pocket for easy access to employee schedules and my phone. But, the pocket is too difficult to access quickly (con for me, pro for valuables:)

I have instructed in these ski pants for the past 3 seasons and so far they have held up exceptionally well except for around the boot guard where the stitching has fallen apart for the past 2 seasons and every attempt I have made to fix it have failed. It maintains it's water resistance up until the heaviest rain and several lift rides. I do like the front thigh pocket and the ventalation is above average. Overall for the price a good ski pant that will last a few seasons.

Where the inner powder cuff at the ankle meets the fabric at the inside of the lower part of the pant is mesh fabric instead of solid fabric. This will allow powder to get inside the pant if you have to do any boot packing or hiking in powder snow. The design is absolutely bizarre for a ski pant. Unless you are only skiing on a warm corn snow day, these pants have a terrible design. The mesh above the ankles serves little purpose other than possible venting which is better achieved through the inside leg zippers.

I was excited to see that these ski pants are available in short lengths. When received, the waist and short length fit perfectly...but the pant legs bloomed out to extraordinary widths that could have accommodated my legs 3-4 times in each pant leg! Who are these for? An elephant would have complained about the width. I wouldn't recommend these for anyone under 6 feet tall, and even then, the pant legs may be too wide.

I use these pants for skiing, snow shoveling and in the summer to stay dry in rainy weather. The length selections are only short, regular and long. I purchased the short length given the sizing guide instructions. When I received them I tried them on and found that I had to hem them to keep them from dragging on the ground. There are only three belt loops instead of five, so that they do not stay in place at the waist. They have added velcro adjustments on the sides and a velcro patch where the front snap is. The velcro scratches the skin badly. They have used recycled material which I can do myself if I shop for clothes at a used clothing store. If I had not hemmed them before using them, I would have returned them.

I your looking for very baggy thin pants, were you can feel all the coldness outside y with a fit longer and larger than you would spect: these are for you! I don't think it worth buying these pants , there's alot of others snow pants in the same price range with much better quality and better fit. I really regret buying these...

The pants are nice. They fit well. They aren't kidding when they say no insulation but that was to be expected. They work fine with base layers in Maryland winter.

I just received these pants and was disappointed to see the pants don't match the TNF website photos. The pants DO NOT t have a black front pocket (ie. the only feature that made them slightly different than literally every ski pant on the market). They are just a solid color. I called to let TNF know and see if I could get the right pants and they said, Sorry - I guess we posted the pre-production photos on the website. The actual pants in production are just a solid color. It's kind of annoying becase we're a solid 2 mos into ski season and I can't believe I'm the first person to point this out to them. Fix your website! I'm 6'1", 215 lbs and usually a 35-36" waist. I got the Large and the waist and length (regular) are just right for me. I'm not a skinny person and I still feel like the style is baggier than I would like them to be though. Also, I got the green and the actual pants are a shade or two darker than they look online. Still a nice color though. They seem to be well constructed, although short on pocket space. The front flap pocket probably isn't going to be very useful since it's just a velcro closure.

my Stats, 5.9', 179lbs, 32waist ordered a Med. way to big in the waist (bunched up) and throughout. Ordered a Small, barely could snap it close. The sizing is terrible. Trying different brand.

I bought these pants to use as "summit pants" as an outer shell over base layer and light hiking pants on summit night on Mt. Kilimanjaro. The pants fit to size, fit very well as shell over the other two layers, were warm, well designed with pockets and blocked cold wind and were very flexible and functional. However, after hiking to summit and then descending back to base camp the inner angle areas on both the left and right legs of the pants had worn holes right in front of the kick patches. The fabric did not hold up at all to the trekking. There was no extraordinary wear other than simply hiking up and down that single day. I may replace these with the NFZ Pants as they are a different fabric that may hold up better. I want to commend The North Face warranty department for working with me and providing an e-gift card in the full amount I spent on these pants since they did not hold up. Disappointed in the pants but continued support of The North Face!

The inside of the cuff at the bottom is not properly protected. The additional material is only behind the seam, which is vulnerable to the edges of the ski. I have 46 days on mine this season and have had to repair them. They won't make it to a second season.

The product is just what was needed. Has the style I wanted - along with the durability and flexibility I needed for playtime as well as more serious endeavors. Would recommend highly - for a product I know is of outstanding quality, great value for the money, and is made to last.

I bought these ski pants excited because I had a few other products from North Face including fleeces, insulated pants, and gloves but was highly disappointed by these ski pants. I wore them 5 times downhill skiing in average conditions and the pants have developed small rips between .25 and 1.25 inches throughout the bottom third of both leg compartments completely through the material. I have been skiing for 20+ years, including skiing with the same boots and skis as in this experience and never had a similar issue with ski pants. I returned them to the store which in turn sent them to the warranty center only for the company to state it is not covered by a warranty. The customer service represnentive was rude, unprofessional, and condescending. She offered 50% discount off a new pair of the same ski pants but I declined as these have been worn 5 times and I will not be spending any money on North Face products in the future.

I expected more for what I paid. The freedom pants are just snow pants that's all with North Face's name attached. I think Diamond pants may be better than these darn things! When I first saw the pants out the box I inspected the pants carefully. I compared the bottom heel cuff to the rest pant and saw a color difference. The color difference was unnoticeable except when you look directly at the pants like reading a book. I called NF and was told the color should be uniform throughout the pant, so i sent them back in exchange for another pair. When the delivery was made I opened the box and inspected the pants again. Same problem. To me the pants look like there was a mistake made during the manufacturing process that caused a color difference. Additionally I believe these pants may yellow when left in the sun to long or used after a while. There is nothing spectacular about these pants.
