Let me start by saying these pants are very comfortable and the waterproofing has held up great so far. However, the fit is a bit questionable. I consider myself an average athletic body type (5'10", 145lbs) and these pants are VERY baggy and long on me.

Fine snow pants. I ended up with the Chakal pants as they were a little less bulky and I liked the fabric better.

Retern process was easy, i was a size smaller than normal, but it fit well just looks baggy

I like the pants and their design I expected a heavier material to be used

Great stuff... not bulky and good for chilly day activity.

I gave it as present to my son for his trip to Tahoe. He liked it very much and said it kept him warm and dry.

I use them at work as a dishwasher.

Perfect for skiing and has zippered air vents.

The Freedom pants are great. Only problem is the Large/Short size is a bit on the long side for my inseam. I have a 34-35" haist and a 29-30" inseam and the short length in large are a bit too long. The medium/short length were a perfect length for me, however, they were a bit tight around the middle. I understand I have short stubby legs and realize that a short length in large needs to be longer than a short length I'm medium (TNF needs to make a product that fits most people and it is not their fault that I really like IPAs and should normally fit in a medium /short). With ski boots, the lengrh is good. I just roll them up when walking in my normal shoes so I don't fray the bottoms.

This is a nice, fairly lightweight shell for skiing. It is one of the few high-performance pants that's available in a short at a reasonable price. Only a couple of complaints: the zippered vents are on the inside of the thighs which means they are usually blocked by my big thighs. For some reason the cut protection patch on the bottom of the pants only covers the back half of the inside leg. I had to throw my last shell because it had cuts all over the area not protected by the patch. Not sure why they couldn't just cover the whole inside of the leg.

I was looking for a tan colored ski pant that wasn't too expensive in large size, slim fit, and short inseam. The freedom pant in British Khaki was the closest pant I could find that fit that criteria from The North Face. They performed well the few times I have worn them although I wish the color was a little lighter but I think the picture accurately shows the shade of khaki. They are little more expensive than what I think they should be but hopefully they will last and perform. The fit was good as far as length and waist. A little baggy but these are regular fit and not slim which I was looking for. They allow for base layer and range of movement. These were replacing a 4 year old pair of TNF pants that I still love and wear that were just too baggy and long.

Fit and comfort are exceptional even with a base layer and I love this color, "Diesel Blue".

product is great overall, but even with room in the waist, the button would slip upon sitting down in the snow.

I first ordered these in small-regular and i am 5'10 145lbs and they were too long and baggy in the butt. I re-ordered small-short and they fit perfect and are not too long. Still a little baggy in the butt but much better fit. I ordered these because they had the adjustable waist unlike the seymore pants which do not. These seem a bit higher quality than the seymore pants too.

Fits great. Quality stitching and construction. Runs big. Nice and roomy in the right spots but not too baggy. When it seems like all other brands keep getting smaller, The North Face sizing stays consistent.

These pants are the same ones hat I had for the last 10 years that are still working fine. I simply needed a new pair for skiing. Good quality for the price

The pants are made of great materials with ability to ventilate through the legs if needed. May not be the warmest below -7 degrees Celsius. But with another insulation layer it can be great. It all depends on how active you are and hot it may get as you play in the snow.

Fit perfectly and feel great.

Love the color and functionality of it, keeps water out and wind resistance.

Haven't worn them yet except to try on. They feel good, plenty of pockets. The "short" is 1-2" long for me, but that is not the fault of North Face.

I wanted to like these pants as I wanted to utilize them as snowshoeing pants. I wear a size 34 pant and normally I need a belt to go with the pant. 34's aren't super loose, but rather perfect. So I bought Freedom pants in a medium/short and would use the Velcro adjuster to take up the extra inch or two. Length was perfect, but they were pretty tight...meaning I had the Velcro adjuster all the way out. I had them buttoned up, but there was not way it was going to be comfortable to sit or walk. I returned them, ordered a size large/short. Received those and they were way too big. I had the adjusters cinched up and they were still pretty loose and baggy. My opinion is split the difference in sizing between a medium and large. Like I said, I wanted to like these pants as the style was perfect. Just couldn't get the right fit. Ended up going with their Venture half zip pants. For reference, I am 5'-9" and weigh 195 with a 34" waist and 30" inseam.

Adjustable waist is a plus. Wish it had sidezippers
