I go to West Virginia University where there are a lot of hills and a lot of snow in the winter. I bought these boots to wear around campus and the first big snow of the season, I was able to walk everywhere without slipping or falling. Worth the price because I know they will last me throughout my entire college career.

After reading reviews, I ordered a half size up from what I usually do, and I'm glad I did. The boots are now just a tad too big, but are perfect with winter socks. These are lace ups, so obviously are a bit of work to put on and off, but no more than any other boots of similar style. The fit is so comfortable and my feet feel warm and protected. I love the treads on them. Once I break them in a little they will be excellent for walking in the snow! Bring it on, winter!

I tried several boots and these are by far the most comfortable and warm. They're not chunky or heavy and they fit perfectly. I also like the way they look.

I bought these boots to go out to Jackson, WY. They will definitely keep you warm. They are so cute and durable, I love everything about them except the area around my toes are just a tad too small that make them uncomfortable for me. I'm not sure if others have this problem also or if it's just my toes. :( I am so disappointed because I really love these boots!!!

I wear these walking to class in the snow. They keep my feet dry and they are very warm. The size conversion that North Face offers was a bit incorrect. I am a 6.5 and it told me to order a 5.5. I went in the middle with a 6 thinking they ran big. Turns out they are very true to size and I had to exchange them. Now that I have the right size I love them!

I needed a boot that was cute, yet would work well in the snow. This fit both needs.

I love these boots! I live in the Colorado Rockies and they have kept me warm during this snowy cold snap, with temps in the single digits and teens. I normally wear a size 7.5, but bought an 8 so I could wear heavier socks. I usually wear thinner socks, because my feet got too warm if I'm walking around in stores. I've already recommended these boots to friends. I do own Sorel boots, but I have found them too bulky and clunky to walk around in.
I'd also recommend:
Sorel

The weather just started to get cold and snowy in Boston, and these boots have done a great job so far! They are super cozy and warm. I was able to walk through huge puddles of slush and freezing rain and had no issues with the water getting through the boot. The only downside is that the leather stain rubbed off onto the quilted material at the top, which I guess is okay since these boots will probably get dirty after a winter in New England.

I first bought this boot hoping it will be really warm and soft. First day, it was really stiff and it felt too narrow, but I love it so much that I wanted to wait couple days to finally wear it on a perfect day (such as a REALLY COLD DAY) and so I decided to give it another try. It felt sooooooooo comfortably warm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's like the cold air can't get into your toes! I love it! I also decided to loosen up the show ties so it won't feel too stiff. Also, I'm usually a size 7, but I was afraid it might be too stiff, so I bought size 7.5 and it fits perfectly!! With these shoes, it's best to get a half size up. I wore it for more than 6+ and it's awesome!! Make sure to wear it often to break into them. I love it and I'm glad I decided to give it another try to keep them!!

I needed a new pair of snow boots after I moved to Denver. I was looking for something equally stylish and practical/durable; these boots were my answer! The boots are comfortable, warm, and provide good coverage with the taller boot height, ensuring that my feet stay completely dry and warm in the snow and wet.
My only slight complaint with the boots is with the laces going the full height of the boot, they are a little tough to get off easily without loosing the laces all the way to the bottom.
Otherwise, very satisfied!

Great for snow and wet weather! I do highly recommend buying a half size up from what you normally wear because this boot is not true to size. I wear an 8.5 and I purposely ordered a size 9 in this boot (because I read the reviews first) and it fits amazing. I am still able to wear my thick socks in them and have enough room yet for them to feel comfortable. The boot itself is very stiff though. I ordered the grey and black boots and I get compliments on them all the time. They are adorable! I say thumps up and would be great as a gift for someone!

I would recommend getting a half size bigger than usual - there is padding located around the ankle that made it difficult to get my foot in with my usual size.

This boot is stylish and durable. Perfect for Chicago winters. Order a size up in width as it is narrow.

The boot feels a little wide around the toe and is a little difficult to slip on because of it's height if the laces are tightened. Those minor issues aside, they're excellent cold weather boots.

Hard to get my foot in these. Would be perfect with a side zipper. Cute looking boot. A bit bulkier than I'd like (going with a Keen boot instead) and the top seemed too stiff.
I'd also recommend:

I bought the shellista mid because I was in dire need of new winter boots before the winter started. I had purchased the Joan of Arctic Sorel boots prior and I hated them for being so unbelievably chunky and felt like dead weight. Although I have yet to wear the Shellista Mid in actual winter weather, I have worn them out once and the fit is very slim through the calves. They are very stylish for winter boots, and they were fairly comfortable but I mostly figure that they will do just the trick for nasty Chicago winter weather. I might recommend sizing up if you like to wear thick warm socks with your boots as the toe room is snug.

I had to have these when I saw them on display at the store. They are a little cumbersome to put on with all the laces so I wish there was a zipper as well in the back or side but overall a great buy!

This is a pretty nice boot. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a wide. So, I ordered a size up. It's still a little tight, but I think will be fine once I wear them in. Does not bow in at the side of the ankle like some boots. Good height for sloshing through snow. Stylish and warm.
