I LOVE these boots. They are high enough to wear with leggings/skinny jeans, but narrow enough at the top to wear with boot cut jeans. They have a really good tread for the snow, without being heavy and clunky. And even though they lace up, there is a zipper on the side, so you don't have to lace and unlace them every time you wear them. And Zappos, being Zappos, had them on my doorstep less than 24 hours after I placed the order.

Boots are very nice but they hurt my feet. I have to break them in.. Very uncomfortable on my heel

These boots are cute, I really like the color. The one issue I have is that they are a bit short from the bottom of my foot to the top if that makes any sense? They are long enough and wide enough, but the top of my foot rubs a bit against the inside of the shoe, especially where the laces start. I do have a high arch (and the arch support is kinda minimal in these), so that could be the problem. But it means I can only wear them with thin socks. Thought about returning them but couldn’t find a pair I liked as much aesthetically, and it does seem they are starting to loosen up a little. So I like them a little more every time I wear them!

I am really enjoying these black leather combo boots which I think will be a go-to for fall and spring. I've been wearing shoes with really supportive arches and these are not that so I can tell a difference but they are comfortable, will mold to my foot better I'm sure, and with a nice thicker sock they feel wonderful. A black leather combat boot is a staple in my wardrobe and so far I am very pleased with these!

I’m loving these combat boots! They are classic and I’ve worn them with jeans and dresses so far! They are mostly comfortable but I wore them twice in a row last week and the soles of my feet were slightly aching. I may put an insole in these babies and call it a day...

Overall, neat boot. They sent the wrong size twice. I ordered a wide...box said wide, but shoes were medium (twice). I agree about the bad smell. Had to leave in garage two days then one more day on front step.

A nice boot, but the W is not all that W. My older Steve Maddens were wider than these. Style is great, and side zip is a great addition to a combat boot style.

The shoe should have been perfect except for the narrow entrance. I ordered Women's 6.5 W and I got what I ordered. The problem when I was trying just one foot and I could not get my foot in. The entrance was narrow. I loosen the lace all the way and opened as much as I could, still very hard for my foot to get in. I will be returning.

I consider myself an expert on sizing now because (I’m embarrassed to admit) it took me FIVE returns to get the right size. Getting the WIDE option makes them feel significantly much larger, so though I’m usually a 9+ in boots, I settled on the 8W with these and have been stretching them just a little because the 8.5W was too big and my foot moved around uncomfortably. The 8.5 and 9 in Regular width felt teeny tiny (like squishing fat sausage feet into) and the 8.5-9-9.5 in W I was swimming in. I didn’t notice an aesthetic difference in Wide vs Regular; I’m pleased with how petite these boots look even at a 9.5W. I love the look and the price can’t be beat for this style and real leather. Good luck finding the right size, it will be worth it!

A size 11 seems to be a wide range, usually on the small side, but these fit perfectly! I was not convinced they were leather...material had a stiff plasticy feel. Due to the stiffness, These boots were not made for walking!! Otherwise, they are super cute and fun to wear.

Nice but a little to Bulky

I do like these boots. I am sometimes a 7.5 or sometimes a 8 and like wider shoes. I ordered both sizes - the 7.5W were a bit tight while walking. I was floating in the 8W. Returned them for the regular size 8’s and that helped make them more snug. Did not bother me at all while walking. I hope this is helpful for those between sizes.

Love this boot! Wear it all fall/winter long.

I really wanted to like this boot but the shaft wasn't high enough for me. Nothing wrong with the boot itself, just not the style I was hoping for. I'm 5'0 and these set a little lower than mid-calf. Also, I usually go up half a size with boots from a 6.5 to a 7. But the 7 in these felt very spacious and wide. P.S. The black is very true shiny black.

I bought a size 8 for my daughter, who is a measured size 8, and they were huge. They were even long for me and I am a solid 9. Also felt very narrow to me.

I wear these boots a lot and the red color is so nice. However, they scuff very easily and the boot did not stretch out at all (which I thought it would because these are leather). They are very stiff and give me a blister on my right ankle bone if I wear them walking for too long.

I had two pairs of the original Troopa and loved them! I was excited to see they added a thicker sole to the Troopa 2.0, although it makes them even more casual. My only complaint is that the 2.0 seems tougher and more rigid, as well as slightly bigger. I should have tried to downsize a half size from the originals. I am also hoping they break in sooner than later and feel more like the original version.

Love the style, unfortunately could really use a half size up and they're out of stock. Definitely advise anyone ordering to find a half size up from normal. Will just have to hope I can find on another site and return, or just stick with them and try to break them in.

Delivery was really fast. I ordered my normal size and the boots fit well. At first felt slightly narrow, but feel OK after wearing them for a few days. The uppers are all leather, no cloth or plastic. Nice boots!

It wasn't what I expected- I was looking for a functional boot for both the city and hiking in rainy Portland Oregon. It's designed to be laced up half way and have the top flair out in a fashionable way, but that wasn't what I was looking for. It looks kind of funny when laced up fully. I am returning these but I can see how they would be great for someone in a less rainy place for style purposes.

These boots are really cute, I love them and they are good quality. The only downside is that they are a little uncomfortable but not to the point where they hurt my feet. They are just a bit hard. Other than that I love them.

My 3 daughters each had a pair of the original Troopa boot. They loved them & wore them out. We tried these as a replacement, but the sole is considerably different than the original troopa boot. Much, much thicker. My kids didn't like that look (although I think I would have liked the durability). These went back, unfortunately.

I love the look of the boots. They are very heavy! I only weigh 110 lbs so they were not a good purchase for me. I have very small ankles. The boots just looked too big for my frame.

The chemical smell of these shoes is unbearable. Order at least a half size bigger.
