I bought these in black, and they are exactly what I wanted and needed. I need a special kind of shoe, one that provides quite a lot of support but is not ugly. This is a very cute shoe that looks good and is far more comfortable than any of the shoes I was buying. I was wearing a pair of Mephistos earlier today, which are way too expensive, and switched back to my new favorite, Danskos. Dansko apparently cuts their toebox to allow room for toes, which means I can wear Danskos to walk in, which is crucial, especially for travel when you pretty much have to make one pair of shoes go a long way in a day. I have a congenital birth defect in my left foot and other types of problems in my right foot, and only just discovered Dansko this year. I have ordered three styles this year, and I suspect Dansko is now my shoe of choice. They manage to combine comfort with support and that's pretty amazing from my perspective.

I have wide feet, insanely high arches, and narrow heels; shoes tend to be my arch enemy. These boots not only provide plenty of toe room, fully support my arch (a miracle), and keep my heel in place, the soles are incredibly well cushioned and they look great. These shoes gave me faith in shoes again.

I got these to wear with cropped pants I have and they are cute! I like the laces because with a lot of boots my heel will slip (it is narrow, my toe area is wide). I don't usually wear boots with a heel, but I have plantar fasciitis and a heel spur, so sometimes I need a bit of lift in the back to take the pressure off my heel. These have height but don't feel wobbly, they are very stable! Sometimes regular clogs can be wobbly but since these have ties they don't feel that way at all. There is enough room in the toe box with minimal rubbing and I know they will break in some more. There is some arch support, which is great for my flat feet. You can put in your own insole if you want. The heel is cushioned and has enough of a heel cup that it doesn't bother me. The khaki is a bit more olive/gray than khaki, but I actually like that better. I wish gray was available. I always wear Merrell boots so I was nervous to try a new brand; I'm glad I did!

First, khaki color is darker than pictured, think more olive or Cobb Hill's "stone". Pros: could imagine standing in them all day, comfortable toe box, and the laces actually allow some adjustment of the arch (with my flat arch, I cant wear the traditional clogs but have happily worn Dansko Mary Jane style in the past). Cons: still vulnerable to the Dansko roll and has that borderline unattractive "natural" toe shape (not fully round and definitely not almond toe)

This is a really nice boot...but it seems to run a bit narrower and smaller than other Danskos. I'm returning it for a bigger size.

Fits as expected. 7.5 is my size and that is what I got. Fits fine. Lovely shoe, cool looking, and comfy. The only thing that bothered me the first time I wore them for 12 hours at work, was the outer side was a bit tight. I believe because the shoe is narrow. I have normal width foot so wide feet would have a problem. I believe they will break in and next wear should be better. I love they way they look and the slight heighth is comfortable. Well made.

They were too narrow, and my heel kept slipping.. beautiful shoes though!

These boots are incredibly comfortable and they look really good with skinny jeans. Even my 17-year-old son told me they're cool. Best of all, they are supportive and cushioned. Both! I'm going to wear these walking around Montreal next week.

Really nicely made and very comfortable, however, the color is not as it is pictured on the site. The actual color is a darker, olive color. The size might be a bit smaller than a typical dansko, but I have not owned any of their closed shoes to judge accurately. I will send them back because I was looking for a more neutral color, but I would order a 1/2 size larger mainly because it felt more narrow.

I thought I'd try Dansko again, having lived in them for many years with my extremely high arched, wide and squared off feet. Trying these on these on drove home the reason that I no longer wear Dansko as they are too tight across the ball of the foot. The shaft hit my ankle bones and combining the sturdy leather involved with the slippage inherant to the roomy heel area, the leather against bone would have been problematic. Fit aside, as I am difficult to fit, I had forgotten how heavy Dansko can be and these substantial booties are no exception. Between the solid/wedge sole, the standard Dansko toe box (rounded yet kind of angled and squared off) and the matte finish of the nubuck finish these just seemed clunkier than is typical even for this ulitarian brand of shoe.

Great arch support in a trendy-looking shoe. Not that impressed w/ the quality of the "suede" but overall, a great shoe.

I usually wear the clogs or the sandals, which have great arch support and are very comfortable even after hours on my feet. After reading a hair-dressers review I wanted to try the "Lucille" for the fall and winter at work. They are comfortable in general, but I can not wear them to work for all day support like I do my clogs.

I was afraid to buy Danskos because for the most part I think they are ugly. This shoe is good looking in a "classic" way. I teach and am on my feet all day as a teacher and almost always wear these and never have foot aches like I used to. I am now very unsure of what to do for the summer! The only thing that has been difficult for me has been maintenance. I wear them so much, and hardly have any time to stop and think about keeping them clean. The snow where I live in the northeast means moisture and salt and I think that, coupled with my frequent wear (so hand oil on the suede) has made the shoe a bit dull or "lackluster." I recently saw a coworker wearing a brand new pair and I was jealous of how black and clean they looked. That is probably my problem though! If you are low maintenance, and you love this shoe, know that it can look "worn in" if you wear them a lot.

I love these booties! After a lot of online searching, I ordered the grey pair for our trip to Italy. I wanted something comfortable and reliable, as well as capable of going with many different outfits. We walked 9-10 miles per day and I did not have one issue with my feet. What a relief! I'm considering ordering the black pair, too, as I wear these all the time.

What a terrific boot! Wore it on cobblestone streets in Europe...no problems. Excellent support, cute style and my back felt wonderful!

Yeah, I will say it: I love Lucille! I cannot wear anything that does not have great arch support and these cuties really do. I have a narrow heel and wider forefoot. Lucille fits me perfectly. I originally purchased these in the black and was so in love that I bought the grey as well. They were a little stiff when I first pulled them out of the box but softened up after a couple of hours. I am constantly on the hunt for cute comfortable shoes with fabulous arch support, and I found them in the Lucille.

I recently had foot surgery to correct arthritis in my big toe. So it's difficult to find shoes that limit upward motion in the toes, have the support I want and are nice looking. These shoes really met all these requirements. So much so that I ordered two pairs so I have a backup when the first pair wear out. Would highly recommend!

Very comfortable. Medium arch support. I like these, but will probably have to save them just do more special occasions. I've been wearing them for about a week and the suede already looks a worn out (wrinkle and a little dirty) so I'm worried how long these will last. The suede is soft, but feels like it's already stretched out too much. I wish they would have lined the suede with something more substantial for longevity. I'm 6' and the heels on this aren't too high for me. I've been wearing Dansko's for 20 years and would still recommend these.

This boot is extremely comfortable, supportive and wears really well. I took this on a trip in January to Serbia, Hungary, Czech Republic and to Germany. The weather conditions were sometimes snowy and icy, these boots stood the test. They were non slip, and water resistant, I did spray before I left with water proof spray however just as a precaution. The fit is comfortable, not to narrow, no slippage in the heel, and it is a really cute boot. Would buy again!

These are the most comfortable shoes! I bought them in black for a trip to London where we walked a minimum of five miles a day and was amazed at how good they felt on my problematic feet. I would buy them in more colors if they were available!

I have ordered so many pairs of shoes from Zappos that I couldn't keep because of having arthritic toes and needing shoes that accommodate thick orthotics for hallux rigidus. I couldn't be happier with these Dansko booties. They have a removable insole and a nice deep and wide toe box to accommodate orthotics. Very well made and comfortable for anyone with painful feet. Thank you Zappos!

These are very comfortable. I have a lot of trouble getting a good fit in the heel--these don't slip and the laces don't loosen up. They are not clunky feeling and while I like the overall desert-boot look of them they could be a tad sleeker--they have a little bit of a Hobbit/mushroom look when I stare down at them. Guess I'll just stop doing that. They look perfectly fine from the side. I'm not a big fan of suede (you know, it's just a silly fabric for walking through salty/sandy surfaces of our Midwest winters). But the suede may be what makes them comfortable. Life is full of trade offs, is it not? Be aware that these have a blue tinge--at least in the natural daylight in the freezing cold of the Midwest of winter. Not that I'll be wearing them in the summer. The sole is hourglass shaped--narrows between the toes and heel. I usually avoid all shoes with this sole shape because they're more unstable. I rolled my ankle wearing these in the yard but if you have this kind of problem just stick to normal, low-salt sidewalks, and you should be fine.

These are comfortable shoes but the thick sole and liner make my feet too hot. After a few hours, I could not wait to take them off! I am not sure what can be done about it. Thinner socks were not the answer, nor were 100 percent cotton socks. Currently I am looking for an insert that might breathe better than the thick one that comes with the shoes (luckily it is the removable kind).

I love these shoes. I have received many compliments. They go with everything and are really comfortable.
