My son really enjoyed the shoes. He needs a durable shoe and this shoe fit that purpose.

Cute shoes but run small and everything gets stuck on the Velcro

My son is ridiculously hard on his shoes, like we buy shoes every 2 months. These are holding up well, longer than most pairs we buy. Easy to get on and look good on my 9 yr old.

Super cute, true vans style for sure!

My son and I like the style of Vans shoes, so these hit that mark. The color is more dark purple than dark blue but my son didn’t mind at all. The exterior has held up pretty well after several months (maybe 6 months) of rigorous, daily wear, but the insoles are completely shot. The tongue also slides off to the side of the shoe so they look sloppy most of the time, but again, my son doesn’t seem to mind!

Super cool shoes, they did seem to run just a bit small as we usually try to buy a size larger for children's growing feet, but comfort and style are awesome.

Very cute shoes. These have held up really well structurally, but the suede has been tough to maintain with an active and messy kid. I will choose an all-canvas model next time.

We have these shoes in 4 colors. As soon as one pair wears out, we buy another. My son has wide feet and these are the only shoes that are wide and comfy, yet durable enough.

Beutifull shoes, but it was smaller then I think.

My kid skates, and really likes these shoes. They're easy to get on/off and offer some ankle protection. He wears them daily, but they don't hold up as well as I wish they would. His last pair the whole front fabric came apart from the sole. Hoping it was a dud, we are on pair 3.

I wanted to get my 8 year old son a pair of these Vans because i've loved this style since I was a kid. He also has wide feet and hasn't learned to tie shoes yet. The low top version of these would cut the backs of his heels and so I think these high tops are better in that regard. They never left blisters but still caused him to trip for the first few days which is normal for these shoes at first because the waffle soles are very stiff. The length of the shoe ran true to size but the velco straps were way too long and the tongue would never stay in place so it was always falling to the sides of his feet. Overall I would say these are ok shoes because they are super cute(other than the tongue falling to the side). I think the ones with laces wouldn't have the same problem. My son got used to them after a while but still prefers his Puma Kids with the velcro straps.

My 5-year-old loves these shoes - he can take them on and off himself, they look like the shoes the big boys wear, and, most importantly, they're red. :) Based on our experience with other Vans (he's worn a succession of Old Skool Vs pretty much exclusively since he started walking) I expect the soles will wear through before he outgrows them due to constant play on our school's asphalt playground, but that's really my only con, and I suspect other shoes would have the same problem. Overall, I'm happy with Vans and with this pair.

Love these shoes for my son! They are more sturdy in design than the equivalent low top version. Seams are strong and both them and the sole are holding up to the beating my preschooler gives them everyday. He does sometimes complain about them feeling tight, but his feet are a bit wide and he's had thick socks on for the winter. I still think their width is true to size but buyer beware if your child has known wide feet.

These shoes are adorable, stylish, and easy to get on and off. They seem very durable and like they will keep up with my active 6 year old. My only complaint is that the tongue does not seem to stay put. It moves to side or scrunches down often. This may be because they are a bit big on him (maybe 1/2 size large)...hoping it rights itself as he grows into them more.

Fits my 5 year old's wide feet well. Upon first wearing, I noticed a couple of pressure points where the seam met the top of the lower instep - shoe seems to have broken-in since I first noticed and is no longer an issue.

My 6 year old loves these shoes. I bought a size 13 which fit perfect in the length but he complains they pinch his little toe. So although he has only had them about a month I ordered another pair in size 1. I did recently notice that the rubber on the front is beginning to peel off. I will give them another try but won't buy them again if they don't hold up longer.

My 6-year-old son loves these shoes, as they are quick and easy to put on and take off. They're a little stiff out of the box and need to be broken in, but otherwise these are a classic and cute everyday shoe!
