This shoe lasted miles and miles of hiking and trail running (a bit heavy for the latter) but with incredible stability, comfort and traction. 2 years. Amazing.

Good amount of padding at the ball of the foot. The back comes up a little high but it's not uncomfortable. Although not light, the weight of the shoe is not heavy. Can't speak to whether or not it's waterproof.

The shoe is comfortable but still not quite as cushiony as I was hoping for. But the main problem is the shoe feels like it is probably a full size too large and too wide for my foot! I normally wear an 8 1/2 in a medium width in most shoes. I wish I had ordered an 8 for sure but it was out of stock at the time. I'm not certain I couldn't wear a 7 1/2. I could not tie them tight enough to keep the heels from slipping. I even tried the shoe string trick on YouTube for heel slippage but it did not solve the problem. I would have kept the shoe if it had fit me properly.

I think this shoe should be offered in the Bodi5 series. I have arch problems and the shoe I need is the Bodi5 model. I would love to try a shoe that is good arch support, shoe doesn't bend (it rocks), with the max comfort and max support, possibly with the mid-ankle.

I wanted to keep these shoes! The padding is great! Perfect for my leg and ankle and foot, which are compromised due to lotsa hardware! But, alas, they just don't fit me correctly! I ordered a 7 1/2 as people on the reviews said they ran big, This is not true! The 7 1/2 was too small/ as in mot long enough AND the heel was loose as well and the toes felt a bit tight. Because of the loose heel, I don't think ordering an 8 would fix this design for me. I really wanted a nice solid pair of walking shoes with thick soles and good protection to walk my dog on the pavement! Well, the search continues!

Amazingly comfortable and stylish shoes. I hike pretty much every weekend but nothing difficult. Today there was a monsoon and my feet were completely dry. They do run big though, I am always an 8 and these are a touch too big, wish i got the 7 1/2.

Excellent shoe, just larger than expected. I usually wear an 8 1/2 in footwear so that's what I ordered.
Should have ordered the 8.
I will purchase HOKA again, high quality.

Love this shoe, good cushioning, very comfortable. Wish there was a second hole up near the ankle so the shoe can be snugged tighter to the ankle so it doesn't slip on the heel. Have high top for winter days.

Not as ugly as I expected In past I had plantar fasciitis, now get injections in ball if foot for neuroma. These shoes feel so good. Great cushion, not too rigid or flexible. I will exchange for half size smaller.Pricey but I will not let my foot issues get in the way of hiking in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming.

I wanted to love this shoe. On the plus side my heel pain virtually disappeared. The arch support is great, the base of the shoe is so comfortable and I love the rocker. Unfortunately if I lace them tight enough that my heel doesn't slip the tongue is so thin that the top of my foot gets sore and the edges of the top of the shoe dig in if I don't "arrange" them perfectly on top of the tongue. I've never had this problem before with shoes. It's very strange. Unfortunately I am returning them.

This was to be my second pair of Hoka's. But the first extremely comfortable pair I bought in a shoe store had an open-able, non-sewn down tongue, and this one does not. Due to foot surgery, I temporarily need a shoe with a tongue that is not sewn down so that I can get my swollen temporarily unbendable foot into the shoe. The description did not indicate that the tongue is partially sewn, which I think makes the opening too small.

I love the Tor Summit boot mid hiker. I have 3 pair. This version fit like a breeze length wise, but was loose and slipping in the hell. I had to send back. If they hs put that last hole for lacing farther back into the body of the shoe like they do for the running shoes I think that might have done the trick. Sorry these had to go back. I love Hoka!

My Dr recommended this brand but the inserts make the shout too tight so I can only wear them for, short periods of time.
I love the style and would love the shoe if I didn't have to use the inserts
The coat is too high

These are comfortable. They are meant to replace my worn-down sneakers and to elevate my height. They do that. I wear them in the gym and when walking. But there's one warning.
I wasn't aware of them being sort of boot-like at the bottom. I'm used to sneakers without deep crevices. So as a NYC pedestrian, you must use caution.
In the short time I've had them, I have stepped on a guy bear that I could barely remove. I almost stepped on a dead rodent, and noticed what I hope is 'mud' lodged inside one of the crevices.
Considering that, I think I would opt for my common sports brands over this next time. But for now, I'll just have to use extra caution. They'll do.
I'd also recommend:

These shoes are great! They have a nice cushiony feel, they are lightweight but sturdy, and my orthotics fit. My only complaint is that they are a bit wide in the heel, so my feet slide in and out again, which is hard on my socks.

This is my 3rd pair of HOKA's. 3rd time is a winner. I love the cushion of all 3 pair, but my first 2 I had to slice the side of the shoes, way too narrow. My 3rd pair, I have not had to do anything but hike and enjoy my hikes with the great cushion and stability that the new HOKA is giving me. I am a 75 yr old day hiking women & I need good hiking shoes to keep me going.

I bought my Hoka Tor Summits to walk/run on the beach. I owned a different model of Hoka's prior to this pair but when I asked customer service, they thought I would like the Tor Summit's weather resistance. The rainy season was upon us. They were correct and I plan on ordering another pair when these wear out. I think my favorite characteristic of this model is the water resistance and thick soles that soften impact.

I recently went through bone fusion surgery in my foot and my doctor recommended "stability" shoes from Hoka One One. This shoe provides very good support and ease in walking after such an intrusive surgery.

I have just received these and so have not worn them much but because of 2 Morton's neuromas on my left foot plan to wear them everyday. I have had very good results with the Bondi sneakers but needed something for colder weather and not so sneaker looking. The toe box is more narrow than the Bondi so I had to go up a 1/2 size so am hoping this does not present a problem, I also wear orthotics so that makes it harder to find shoes to accommodate these. I have high hopes since I have been pleased with the Bondi.

I have walked about 30 miles in these shoes so far. I frequently commute to work by walking four miles each way, too much sidewalk! My feet were getting messed up and I needed something with serious cushioning. These shoes fill that need. The cushioning feels great - like the first time you put on running shoes. The arch support is good for me, the inner sole is completely cushioned and flexible - not providing the arch support. I had a rough time breaking myself in to these shoes: the roll on the sole caused me to injure the big toe ligament on one foot, soon after that the other knee started tweaking, and I slowed way down on how far I was walking in these until my body mechanics get used to the shoes. The cushioning is fantastic. The shoes seem sturdy, well made and trail worthy. I do not like the curved sole, and I wish there was an option without that. Above all, be sure to plan a break-in period for your body to get used to these.

I love the way this shoe fits and it's waterproof, with good traction. I wear it everyday. It really helped with my structural issues. But the eyelet pulled out 3 months after I had it.
