I own a pair of Stinson trail runners and was hoping for the same meta-rocker feel, and while these are outstanding hikers, the rocker is much less than the Stinson, with more toe bend than expected.

I use these shoes for everyday wear. They perform excellently, whether at work on concrete floors for eight hours or hiking in the mountains through every kind of terrain. They're the most comfortable all-purpose shoes I've ever owned.

I was looking for a shoe for every day casual wear, particularly for winter and light snow. Too bad they turned out too narrow, but excellent cushioning though. Just a little wider please. And a little more room in the toe box would help too. I'm used to Eccos. Valor turned out to be barely wide enough, wearing black for work use. Excellent on slab floors. I don't feel the floor at all. Hoping for more color choices in the future (Valor), and also for casual dress shoe line as well.

First owe was at the Overland Expo in North Carolina. It rained heavy and was a mud pit all weekend. The shoes did very well considering the cerci stances. Very impressed. Thank you for coming out with a good looking, comfortable, light hiker.

Not as cushioned as the Stinson
Heel higher puts more weight on the forefoot
Sure footed for most terrain

Great shoes, love the clifton for road and challenger atr for trails. I am an ultra endurance runner and these both work perfectly for me. The one thing I don't like is the new tongue. I agree the old one was flimsy so I can see why you changed it to a more substantial one, but it is too stiff and digs into my foot and is uncomfortable. I have tried to find the Clifton 1's to buy as I really dont like the tongue on the Clifton 2, but I can't find any so I will have to live with the new tongue. Love everything else about the shoe though.

Great product, sizing is a full size off.

When using this boot off trail, my feet move around too much inside the boot. Should've bought a mid-height boot instead of a low-cut. I don't recommend this boot for off-trail hiking, but for trail use only I highly recommend.

These may be fine but I sent them back as soon as I tried them on. I thought I would be replacing the Tor Summits I now have. Those have mid-level ankle support. The new Tor Summits only come with low-ankle support, not great for hiking in the woods and wilderness. I tried the high-ankle boots with a different name but they were too heavy and stiff, and the other mid-level shoes available do not have a plush sole, which I need. Please, Hoka, bring them back.
On the positive side, Hoka was very good about returns.

I returned the shoes because the toe box was slightly too small which irritated my inflamed big toe which has osteoarthritis.

I really like these a lot and wear them all winter long. This week I noticed that the tread delaminated from the right shoe. Granted that I have had these a couple of years, but only wear them in the winter, so they only lasted two, perhaps, three seasons. The reason I am writing today is that I am searching for replacements. I may buy another pair, but thought those interested should know these may not last as long as you would like and they are pricy when compared to alternatives.

Too narrow and stiff. With other reviews stating how comfortable they are one would expect a nice plush ride. I found a pair of Merrell Moab 2 vent to be more comfortable.

I'm on my feet all day and walk a lot in my job. Very comfortable and supportive shoe. The big problem is the inside heel cushion started wearing out after a couple of months, and now at six months the heel cushion is gone. I don't think a shoe that cost this much should wear out this fast.

I just finished a 500 mile walk through northern Spain in my Hoka Tor Summits so I experienced every terrain and weather possible. First the good: The Vibram soles were fantastic. Not only did they have great grip on all sorts of conditions but they were only about half worn down after 500 miles. The uppers held up well too. Now the not so good: They are hot and e-vent lining did a poor job of letting moisture out and keeping out water. My socks would be damp after a hike and wet if there was significant rain. One other issue which may just be a personal preference of mind is the shank material. I would prefer a stiffer shank and a little firmer sole. When walking on rocky trails, you could really feel the stones and the sole flexed too much for my taste.

I love Hoka One One and own six different shoes and boots but this is my least favorite. It is certainly not 'plush' even after replacing the inner sole with something more padded. The Vibram sole is hard and clunky. The Thor Ultra boot is much gentler underfoot.

I have broken my calcanues few years back, and my calcanues height is reduced. Part of heel height of this shoe is not I expected, it's kinda deep in heel area but arch support is good.

loved this so so much ...wore out pair # 1 in a bout 3 years . the second pair felt different and did not last long at all. I assume they cut corners on the manufacturing ...eyelets pulled away from the shoe making it UN-wearable !

Comfortable shoe. Really Waterproof. However, traction is bad in hiking. Had me slipping so much more than others.

This would have been an excellent shoe for me except for 1 issue. The laces extend down to the top of the toe joint, instead of ending over the arch like the Constant. The shoe bends at that point while walking, making it feel like my toes are being pinched with each step. I need a waterproof shoe for winter, and am going to try a leather shoe that I can waterproof, instead.

I've used these shoes on four different hikes, the last one being Mount San Jacinto at 10,800 feet. The heal support start poking through the fabric halfway up causing a blister. This issue is enough to not recommend these to avid hikers. These work really well for casual hiking on flat terrain.

Good stability but the black rubber at the top of the platform shreds and ruins the look of the shoe. Happened to both shoes same spots no abusive use either just everyday wear.
