The shoes are very comfortable to wear during a long day at work.

shoe is weather proof not water proof which is fine with me. my only issues are it is narrow and the upper 1/2 eyelets have to go.

I purchased this boot to wear at work, not as a trail boot. Most of my foot and back pain are gone, even when standing all day.

This boot is near perfection: very stable laterally, soft foot bed, light in weight, super gripping sole, really a dream for us compulsive footwear lovers. You have really outdone yourself, Hoka. I hike on a trail that has imbedded rocks so I need a super stable boot. HOWEVER! Consider adding a "WIDE" size option. The toe box area is a bit tight for those of us who have wide feet and/or high arches. Thank you for this outstanding and stellar piece of foot art, Hoka. This is a world-class product.

I am currently wearing the boots in an austere environment and they're working out pretty good they're very comfortable and durable Hoka shouldstart making boots for the military.

I have very bad Knees that need replacing and I am hoping to delay that as long as possible. Yesterday we hiked Camel's Hump in VT a 4000 ft mountain. Fairly easy climb but the descent is what kills the knees and today my knees feel pretty good. The cushioning seems really good!

Bought these in a 9 to match my Hoka Running shoes, but ended up shipping back to get a 9.5. I could have survived with the 9, but that half size up feels great with socks and sock liner combined. I've only done one hike in these, so early days, but they are unique boots. They are very light, very comfy and have far more support than my "normal" hiking boots. I also think I could do trail runs in these. They look like they would be heavy but they are light and once laced up truly conform to the feet. My feet are narrow but things are okay when I've got these laced snuggly. Am looking forward to several summit hikes in June. The first real test worthy of mention.

I'm using these boots for uniformed law enforcement. The only complaint is the suede surface rather than a smooth one - but I knew that when I bought them.

Light and sturdy, need a bit of break in time but waterproof as advertised. Use for exercise walking in snowy environment. Good traction and warm.

great color on these shoes,lots of cushion and waterproof.

Was disappointed in the traction since most vibram soles are better.

Very interesting concept, very light. Durability remains to be seen. Please please please make your toe boxes bigger! Also, the lacing running down to the tip of the toe is completely extraneous and smells like a "designer" decision. Who would want to crank on their laces and smash their toes together?

The boot looked promising but had to send it back was not wide enough, hopefully you'll make more items EE size like the new shoe.

Have just used it for hiking so far. Will try it for repelling soon.

This is my second review after having these boots for a little over a month. I've hiked at least 100 miles so far on some rough terrain. Mt Wilson, Mt Baldy, and now Mt Whitney. I did 18 miles on my Whitney hike in one day, up 3500 ft, down 6000 ft, on some of the roughest rocky terrain I've been on. I slipped maybe twice, had a couple of times where my ankle rolled, and had a single blister. Honestly I don't think the boot exists that will make your feet feel perfect after a hike like I just did, but these were the best so far. boots could have a little more room in the toe box and I find it hard to get them tied in such a way as to really keep your heel in place when you are going downhill. Still, I was in pain after the hike, but have recovered after a good night resting. Ankle support, great. Traction, great. One bad thing is that the soft sole might not handle the repeated punishment of the granite of the high Sierras like some other shoes. I wore them down some and the sole seems to be very weathered in places. Time will tell. Overall, these are great and I can't wait to see what else these guys do for my feet with their products.

Plan on using your boots in the jungles of south america birding. style is rather flashy but after extended wear it still looks cool. I had to return the first par recommend to have your customers Order a half size larger...

First impression is great. They feel comfortable and there is good support available through the ankle as well as offering a sturdy platform like it will be hard to roll. Right off the bat I looked at the sole- its a more durable vibram sole than some of its running counterparts, which for me start to break down much much quicker than a similarly priced competitor shoe. (however, Hokas are so comfortable its worth it). Overall they look great, and I can't wait to really test them. Planning on taking them up Mt. Blanca and Mt. Longs here in the next 2 weeks. Ill update the review after.
