I have never had hiking boots that did not eventually leave my feet feeling sore. With the Hoka Tor hiking boots I no longer have that problem. The cushioning is very comfortable but you don't sacrifice stability for comfort. They fit great and are the lightest hiking boots I have ever worn. They also provide great traction even on wet surfaces.

I hike about 20-25 miles a week in these, on and off hard surfaces. They are so comfortable and correctly padded while providing great arch and ankle support. They are incredibly light weight for hiking boots but still sturdy and waterproof. I am tempted to wear them all the time but it would ruin the great feel for my walks...

These boots are all that I hoped for. They are light with good stability. The cushioning is great. No break in period necessary.

My husband loves these hiking boots! Not cheap but totally worth the cash you pay for them. They were perfect right out of the box. He is an avid hiker in the Rocky Mountains and these are his new kicks to tackle the rugged mountain hiking. The colors are awesome-he picked the anthrocite/orange ones and they are very stylish yet a serious hiking boot.

These are nice boots, true to size and comfortable. I did spray them with waterproofing because of some of the reviews saying they weren't waterproof. I wore them out in rain afterwards and feet stayed dry.

These are super high quality hiking boots made with premium materials. They are really comfortable to hike around in all day. Feet did not get hot and stayed dry.

the shoes were very comfortable out of the box, very short break in period. I like the Hoka shoes with the Plush cushioning, I have two pairs of the Tor Summit as well. I was having foot pain in the Metatarsal region and the Tor and these Ultra have eliminated most of the pain, I think because of the cushioning and the shape of the footbed. I am headed out hunting and hiking in the middle of September and am looking forward to putting miles on these boots.
I purchased the Ultras on the 30 day try out period, I would not have bought them with out that option, glad it was available.

I work construction and walk on concrete all day. The cushioning, support and the shoe being light weight is why I'm giving it 5 stars. This is my 3rd Hoka purchase; I have a severe prolonged case of Plantar Fasciitis and the Hoka One hiking boot is the only shoe that I have found that cushions my heal so I can be on my feet and walk long distances everyday.
Would like them to make a work boot without all the colors and keep the price a little more reasonable.

These boots are great for hiking and backpacking. ZERO break in time and plenty of support.
I just got back from a 70+ mile backpacking trip in the Wind Rivers Range where we spent 4 days off trail, crossed a glacier and crossed over a few high passes. I carried a 55+lbs backpack - yes I know. I am a 45 year old who likes to carry his luxuries. I am too old to suffer a night under a tarp in a snow storm - it is vacation. We carried full tents, crampons and ice axes etc. The boots performed great on wet trails and wet boulders. I had no traction issues. We crosses multiple streams and snow fields and I had no problem with moisture getting into the boots. The only problem I encountered with the boot was because of MY total incompetency. Two days before the trip I realized that my crampons would not fit on the boot because the heel was too wide. I bent my crampons to fit. I do not recommend doing this. I compromised the aluminum and my crampons broke mid trip. I was able to modify them in the field and they worked well enough. Like I said - this was totally my fault and had nothing to do with the boots - BUT I would check you crampons and micro- spikes to made sure they fit. Loved the boots and did not get any blisters.

I've never had such a versatile shoe. I use them in the summer for long trips with heavy loads (light loads and shorter trips I wear Hoka trail runners), and in the winter for almost everything: snowshoeing, road running in snowy weather, hiking icy trails w/ traction devices on, and everyday snow boots. While I do tend to have naturally warm feet, I can go all day in temps above 5 degrees F or so and never have cold toes. I've been wearing these for just under two years now, and while they're getting fairly worn, they're still quite usable. Ankle support is outstanding for such a lightweight boot. About the only thing I wouldn't wear them for is casual use, simply because they make my feet look kind of huge. They are, however, as comfortable as any casual shoe I own.

These boots are by far the best I have ever known. I have been able to take long hikes and my feet are great, no soreness at all.

I run in Hola's and the hiking boots did not disappoint. Spent several days hiking in the mountains in Colorado and my feet were so comfortable every day. Feet never got hot and it was warm. Love them.

Great fit, great performance on the trail. Took these on a 4 day backpacking trip 2 days after receiving, no foot issues at all. I have a jammed toe and depend on hoka's with decent rocker and good arch support to keep it from flaring up.
Note: Another person on the trail had a pair and said the waterproofing was useless, but I haven't had a chance to check that. No rain this trip.

This is my second pair. I reluctantly tossed my first pair after approximately 800 miles (including at least a dozen 25+ mile days. The laces needed to be replaced after a few hundred miles, which Hoka provided for free. The shoes ultimately lost much of their water repellency, but the primary reason I replaced them was because the tread was shredded by excessive exposure to talus and scree while traveling off trail in the High Sierra. I figured they were done after a 10 day through hike of the John Muir Trail in 2015, but my original pair lasted for three more years.
These are, without a doubt, the finest pair of hiking footwear I have ever had the pleasure of putting on my feet. Comfortable right out of the box with no break in required. Impossibly night. Incredible traction. Precise lacing options.
The only drawback to note is that the shoes are fairly water repellent out of the box - but only below the laces. Full submersion above the laces can lead to a very hard to dry soaked boot, so ford accordingly! Also, I am typically a size 11 but am a size 11.5 (US) in this boot.
The bottom line is that this is a fantastic boot and a tremendous value, even at the price point. I wholeheartedly recommend.

My favorite all-purpose boots. Hope the tan color stays in production and more color combos become available. An all-gray combo would be nice too.

I am not the user of this boot; however I purchased it for a Navy Seal who is doing some strenuous training and has an ankle problem. He told me the boot is perfect and will be his saving grace in getting through the rigorous workout he must perform

I got these just before a trip to Peru to hike to Machu Picchu 4 years ago. I wore them about a week before the trip and immediately fell in love with them. My wife and I hike 50+ miles that week and jogged in these about another 40. Yes they are light enough to jog in. Excellent comfort and no break in made these the perfect all around shoe boot for the trip.
I've since logged probably 1000+ miles on them and it's finally time for a new pair 4 years later. I will be happily making that purchase shortly.
