I absolutely love this jacket. I was looking for a long winter coat to block the wind, and this jacket does such a great job. I am usually over dressed if it's above 25 degrees!

Is comfortable and warm, the only problem is it fit too small, I should have bought the next size, but all my Columbia jackets are M so I bought M. but beside that, is a great jacket.

I am always freezing and this jacket is so extremely warm. I am so very pleased with this purchase. Sizing is off a little; it runs big. I am 5'3'' and 125, athletic build and the small is roomy to the point where I can wear a sweatshirt underneath it. But i don't mind because I always have extra layers. I ordered black and the color is really a dark grey, which is still nice. The back is longer so it covers your bum and I swear the omni-shield heat coating on the inside is magic.

Perfect for winters in Minnesota! I already owned a long down jacket from Columbia, so I wanted something with more of a mid-length. This jacket is perfect. It has a bit of a tapered back so it still covers your backside well. I'm 5'8" and have long arms, these sleeves are perfect length when my arms are extended. Super warm. I love the same details that give it feminine touch. Would highly recommend.

This coat is incredibly warm and blocks out the wind. It was in the negatives and windy and I did not feel a thing. This is exactly what I was hoping for, especially considering I'm cold natured. I am satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone leaving in the Midwest

I have gotten so many compliments on this coat! I am 5'9", 155 pounds and got the medium, it fits perfectly. I have long arms and the sleeves are long enough as well. It is stylish and functional.

Received my new coat the night prior to leaving for our trip to Iceland. I found the coat to be warm and comfortable to wear. We encountered both rainy and snowy days but I was never cold and the coat seemed to be waterproof or very water repellent. I would highly recommend this coat

This jacket is perfect for an assortment of activities. I've taken it XC skiing, downhill skiing, hiking, camping. I love that it is so functional for the outdoor elements (which I spend a lot of time in) and it's nice enough looking that I can wear it right into downtown Boise.

The jacket is great!! It really does its job in keeping you warm in the coldest conditions. The hoodie is really great in covering your head when it's really windy and snowing. It has plenty of pockets to keep belongings safe.

I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs and the medium is a great fit. I always have problems with sleeve length and this jacket is perfectly long enough. The lengh of the torso is also very flattering for taller women. I got the lighter cloud color and it's light in color but the fabric type gives me the impression it won't get super dirty looking with everyday wear. It's of course super warm but not too bulky. Overall a functional, stylish, and quality winter coat that should last for years to come!

I love this jacket! I'm 5'6" and 150lbs with an athletic build. Maybe I'm just broad shouldered but I had to go up a size to a large because medium (normal size) was short on my arms when extending and left no room for anything underneath or range of motion. I got the gray/green color and it's perfect. The pockets and great and deep and I love the length of the coat. Hood is very roomy and will keep you dry. The jacket is so warm too and the collar is super soft.

My boyfriend bought me this coat for Christmas in the gravel, and I thought the color was comparable to the picture. I am 5'5" and 135lbs. I got a size small, and there is still enough room to wear layers underneath. I put this jacket to the test and went ice fishing Christmas night in -20 degree weather and it kept me warm. The only thing that I don't like is there is no side pockets. It is just the front pockets which isn't exactly ideal for putting your hands in or storing your phone and keys. Overall though, I love this jacket!

This jacket is amazing. Got it just in time for the deep freeze week here in PA. I'm 5feet, 130lbs, purchased the XS and S . Looks like I was in-between. The S was a little bit big on me for some reason. The XS is a bit more fitted, I could still get a thick sweater under it. Decided to keep the XS. Less space for wind hence keeping myself insulated. I hope that it works that way. Did a test, went out wearing just a tshirt under this jacket to move the car in -17deg cel and super windy, and walked back 10mins and was still relatively warm and I get cold easily.

My wife just bought the Barlow Coat in Light Cloud and it looks beautiful on her and very warm. We are coming into the negative weather-4 degrees today Christmas Day. She loves how warm it keeps her. We are life time Columbia customers and love all your products and your customer service is the best in the USA!

At 5'3" and 125 lbs with a slim frame a xs would have fit better planning on wearing long sleeve under most days. But I often wear a sweater/sweatshirt of some sort as well. The days I choose not to I do feel the coat could have used a little more 'fluff' to fill the gaps where air can get in, and it would keep me warmer. But for normal use this coat is extremely warm. There is a large quality difference between this and less expensive model coats by Columbia. After buying a new coat every year or two I am happy to say I won't need a new one for a very long time. Lots of pockets, love the outside chest pockets especially! Hood fur could be attached in a more seamless way, and I prefer it to be fluffier to catch snow falling in my eyes. Hoping as the coat wears in the seam may relax too. But it's not a big deal if it doesn't.

This was my first Columbia coat purchase, and I am so glad I finally invested in a Columbia Jacket. I have generally always bought cheap, no-name coats, and they had never kept me warm enough, but I figured that's just how coats are. Was I ever wrong! From the moment I put on the Barlow Pass 550 TurboDown, I knew what I had been missing. The coat instantly impresses with its flexibility. While still feeling substantial and weighty, movement is not restricted by bulk so the coat is highly functional. This coat is also insanely warm, yet somehow, it never seems to overheat you. It almost seems "smart" to the temperature; despite not being too hot in an 70 degree apartment, it was also perfectly toasty when I wore it outside in 30 degree weather. It seems to almost adapts to the external temperature and your body heat. The design is also impeccable. There are sleeve cuffs inside the outer shell that pull around your wrists, locking in the hot air. Its a brilliant way to keep you warm. I bought the 'Light Cloud' color, and it looks better than in the pictures. Light Cloud is a nice off-white that looks crisp and clean without being so bold that it makes you stand out in a crowd. The coat is true to size with a caveat. Your size will not allow for much layering beneath the coat, but the good news is that if you are wearing this coat, you are going to be so warm that you won't need all those extra layers. For reference, I comfortably fit a t-shirt, hoodie, and scarf under my size Small, but I suspect anymore might start to feel puffy. Lastly, this coat is great for tall individuals or people with long arms. At 5'9" this coat gives me the perfect arm length, excellent breadth in the shoulders, and comes down right around hip level. If you struggle with finding those extra inches, this coat is a great solution. Overall, I would recommend this coat to anyone who wants the utmost in warmth, flexibility, and style. Now that I've bought Columbia, I won't be going back!

Quality coat throughout with many subtle, stylish details. Includes fabulously roomy pockets in front that don't stand out, and zippered pocket at breast inside coat. Has my preferred length in the back. I have been looking for a warm coat for three years that matched my style preferences. Finally found. I chose the pond-colored version per my ususal preferences, but almost chose Columbia's muted chalk color after trying on another coat at store. It's actually a very cool-looking color when wearing. I spent a lot of time figuring out if I should choose a medium or large. This coat was not available locally to try on. I tried others that were in stock locally and from that experience decided a medium would be best fit. It was, and without feeling tight in any way. I am 5' 11" petite-boned, normal weight, but larger waist than the size chart for medium. I have long arms and so love that the sleeves fit properly. You can always roll back if they don't. The fabric surface is classy, not artificial-feeling, and perfect for helping to keep clean. The hood's fur is detachable. Prior, I was cold at work and could not find a warm enough coat without layering. Wearing this at work has kept me feeling at an ideal temperature. I am another proud Pac NW-er who has been living elsewhere in U.S. (i.e. "abroad") for many years. Love how so much of the highest quality, smartest stuff comes from the home country.

I was skeptical about spending the money and not so sure about the material of the coat. I didn't want it to look "cheap" or feel uncomfortable. Now that I've had it for 2 weeks, I have absolutely no regrets or buyers remorse about my purchase! It keeps me warm without feeling like the kid from A Christmas Story! I live in Portland so the fabric is prime for rainy days. The color is the perfect balance of not too army green and not totally charcoal. The lining around the interior of the collar is super soft and doesn't irritate your chin, lots of pockets and the little details like the leather Columbia patch set it apart!

I love this coat!! It is extremely warm and stylish. It covers my bum but it isn't as low as your average parka, which makes it easier to move about. I am 5'5, 120 lbs. 34B, waist 27". I ordered a medium and it's perfect for wearing with or without layering. The sleeve length is good and I have somewhat long arms. I love the hood and the deep pockets in the front. The "gravel"color is a beautiful grayish green. I highly recommend.
