I have had this jacket for almost a year. But, as I work from home it barely sees much wear. Despite following all of the washing instructions, it shed for the first 6 months. Now it is all matted on the sleeves and across the chest, where your seatbelt goes, probably because my seatbelt is still covered in fuzz. Not at all the quality I expected for this product. I will go back to buying much cheaper but similar products from Columbia that I don't care if I have to replace yearly.

I bought the hot pink Women's Osito fleece jacket last Christmas. I love North face jackets. However, a huge issue for me is that this fleece is VERY fuzzy, and sheds fuzz like crazy. When I wear it in the car, fuzz ends up all over the inside of the seat belt, on the seat, and on my husband. He doesn't wear pink, so he doesn't appreciate the pink fuzz. If I wear it at home, I have to wipe the fuzz off of whatever chair I was sitting in. After several washings, it is still shedding pink fuzz everywhere. The Osito looks nice, and it fits well throughout the body and sleeve length, but the collar won't fold down and tends to fold under and rub your neck. The cuffs on the sleeve are too thin as well and rather uncomfortable. I do not recommend the Osito to anyone, unless you like leaving a trail of fuzz everywhere you've been..

I loved how this fleece looked and felt (it is so soft!) when I opened the box, but when I first wore it, it left black fuzz balls everywhere, all over my car seats, seat belts, my purse, my hubby, everywhere! So I thought maybe washing it would help and get all the fuzz off, but it was still pretty bad even after washing, so I had to return it.

Disappointed with this jacket & had to return for another product. I have always been satisfied with everything from Northface but unfortunately, this didn't work for me.

THE JACKET ALMOST LOOKS A LITTLE BROWN. MY GRANDDAUGHTER WANTED A BLACK JACKET. IF IT WAS FOR ME I WOULD HAVE KEPT IT. BUT WHEN KIDS SET THEIR MIND ON SOMETHING. NEED I SAY MORE. THATS THE REASON I SHOP AT THIS SITE. THEY ARE SO WILLING TO MAKE IT EASY FOR YOU TO MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY.

I bought this jacket on line for my daughter. That is all she wanted for Easter. She really liked it but it was too big. I took it back to the Victor store and replaced it with a hooded version that was $40. more. I have washed the jacket twice now and she is still getting black fuzz coming off on her cloths. She really likes the jacket and wears it every day. I just feel for $140. it shouldn't be shedding fuzz and have to be washed right away to get it to stop.

We ordered two Ositos at the same time (2 different colors) and this azalea pink one is shedding like crazy! The other one does not shed at all. I even tried washing per the instructions to see if it would help, with no change. For $100 these should be more consistent/better quality.

I love my jacket, I love the color...it seemed perfect, until my friend noticed a hole in the back of it. I would return it, but since the color isn't available in my size, I am stuck keeping it & trying to find someone that can repair the hole. Overall I was pleased with the shipping & the coat other than it having a hole in the back! Now I'm stuck with having to pay someone to fix it or either walk around with a hole in my jacket.

I recieved this jacket as a gift back in April of 2013. Being from Chicago, I only wore it several times before the weather got too warm and up to that point I had no problems with the shedding except for minor "fuzzies" on my seatbelt which I considered normal. As fall rolled around I was wearing the jacket more and holy cow it would shed on whatever shirt I was wearing and little fuzz balls would collect around the seam of each sleeve, and my drivers seat in my car has so much fuzz on it, I had to take a picture which I attached to this review, so I can include it with my return. I washed the coat like the customer service rep told me to, and I followed the instructions perfectly and the problem got WORSE! Not only that, the back of the coat matted and it looks like cheap felt in the back. I should also add that the fabric is also pilling under the armpit area, and in the breast areas. I adored the jacket when I first got it...it was so soft and cozy. Now it's still comfortable but it sheds so much its unbearable. Sadly I am sending it back and hopefully they replace it.

This is NOT worth the price. It picks up every last piece of lint possible (I have black). I also have many strings that were not cut from the seams. The only good thing about it is it keeps me warm. My co-workers are always telling me how dirty and old it looks!! I can't even wear it out of the house anymore (it's 2 weeks old). It is being returned... for the second time.

Although it's okay for 40 degree weather, I would not wear it in a cooler climate. I hate the way it sheds all over my pants, the seat belt, car seat, sweats, and anything else it wear with it. Also it does not have a lining. However I do like the deep pockets, the fit, and the tiny little pocket within the pocket, great for folded money. I will not be purchasing another. Truly unhappy with this product.

The color was way to brite!! And the fabric reminded me of a rug. Your size chart suggested a large and I usually wear a medium, but I ordered the large. Big mistake, it is way too big and I am sending it back.

After many returns and exchanges for size purposes, finally got the perfect choice and fit for my daughter for Cmas??_4 days later the material around sleeve at wrist is detached from fleece??_now I have to deal with mailing in another exchange??_..not happy, much wasted time and unhappy child.

The jacket is super warm but it sheds terribly! The care instructions say it is better not to dry it but out of desperation to rid myself of some of the fibers, I did. It still sheds. I have to think twice about wearing it. Really cannot wear it with anything but jeans and even then, I am left with white (the color I bought) all over my body. I wish I could send it back but I threw away all the packing info. :( Do not purchase this unless you want to walk around with a lint brush.

I love the look of this jacket, it feels, great, and the fit is perfect but this thing sheds on anything it comes in contact with. I have returned 2 of these for the same issue. Everytime I try to wear it my clothes underneath including my jeans are covered in fuzz. Even my seat in the car and seatbelt. I wore it to work one day and I had to take off my uniform when I got there and roll tape on it.

I got a brand new north face jacket in this past december and then after wearing it a couple times, it began to shed everywhere. It's very comfortable, but this is becoming an issue.

Wore 3-4 times...never washed....yet found a quarter size hole in the inner arm seam. Appears that it was a manufacturering mistake; as the stitching seems intact just not connected to both sides. For the price I shouldn't have to break a sewing needle out to fix things on it.

Very dissapointed in this jacket--it is too small --I bought the size according to your sizing information--the jacket for the cost is not the quality I expected. Won't order from them again

Nice jacket but runs small ordered 2xx for my granddaughter won't fit for very long a friend also ordered one and had to return because it was too small

Beautiful color, seemingly warm - after trying it on over a black turtle neck - I had light gray fuzz all over my shirt - very disconcerting - was told to wash it before wearing it - well considering the price I did not feel I had to take that step in order to enjoy the jacket.. Returned it - I still love two other NF jackets I purchased and do appreciate good customer service and quality product except for the Osito.

I bought the OSITO women's jacket and it keeps me warm, but the fur get all over everything... my jeans, clothes, car seats, home furniture, and anything and everything that I touch. I will never buy another jacket of this style.

the jacket feels and fits great. the only set back I have with it is it seems to shed on my other clothes which can be a bit embarrassing.

I like the jacket. It fits just right and is nice and warm but every time I wear it it sheds little fuzz pieces and makes a huge mess. I've tried washing it numerous times and other things to try and get all the little pieces off of it but it keeps shedding. I've only worn it twice and don't want to wear it again unless I can figure out a way to stop it. Very disappointed.

I wish I had read all of the reviews - especially the comments from NorthFace indicating they have solved the shedding problem with this coat before I donated my black coat to goodwill today. I purchased the vest version several years ago from Nordstrom. It still looks beautiful. It is soft and sheds minimally. On the other hand I bought the coat from Macys last December and not only did it shed like crazy, the material also stopped being luxuriously soft after the first few washings. I still love NorthFace - even my 9 month old daughter already has 2 coats - but I will be sure to keep my receipts/warranty information moving forward!

I bought the jacket and 2 vests because I thought they looked nice on others. I wore some very expensive sweaters with them. The jacket and the vests all shed so badly that the sweaters were practically ruined, and every thing and person I came in contact with was covered with the Osito fuzz. I was very embarrassed and received a number of comments about all the fuzz. I would advise washing the Osito products and leaving them in the dryer for at least an hour before wearing them. I am not sure it will take care of the fuzz and balls of lint, but it is worth a try. I don't understand why North Face would make such products. Buyer beware.
